Vassault Park

Nice large park. It has a very long gravel track. They recently put in brand new playground equipment. There is a big open grassy area to run and play with the kids. There is three baseball/​softball fields, basketball courts, and tennis courts.

This park consists mainly of 2 big baseball diamonds. There’s a walking path around them, and a small playground overlooking the diamonds at the top of a big hill. There are a couple benches/​tables and some nice shade trees. A tennis court and a basketball court on either side of the playground complete the sportiness of this park.
Overall, it’s a fun little park. Lots of room to run and fun hills to roll down. Metro Parks always does a wonderful job with maintaining their parks.
Really, my only complaint it’s that the bathrooms are so far away from the playground. They’re situated between the two baseball diamonds though, so it does make sense. Also, don’t people know by now to poop scoop their dogs? Maybe a couple of those doggie stations would be a good idea for those who have a bad memory when it comes to common courtesy.

It’s a small park, and not a whole lot to look at or do, other than run the Sound To Narrows. Essentially, It’s a patch of grass.
