This was by far the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered. I found this photographer through a local pet store. I emailed her to set up a session and paid $ 140 upfront. I was shocked to see when I arrived at my session that there was only the photographer and no assistant since we were working with dogs and props. I didn’t really think much of it and I just helped as the session went on and by the end of the session I was sweating. About a week after the session the photographer posted four preview pictures on Facebook. Then the photographer contacted me to come«view» the pictures. When I arrived at the photographers home to view the pictures she pulled out a pricing sheet and asked if she had sent it to me. I of course said no because I had never seen the paper before in my life and she just kind of giggled and said«oh I must of forgot to send it.» I gave the paper quick read over and realized that she was going to charge me $ 75 per 5×7 picture if I wanted to buy anything. When I asked her why she didn’t go over it with me ahead of time that this would be the purchase price she got defensive. I told her that if she would’ve told me that I would have to pay $ 140 for a session and $ 75 per 5×7 print I would never have scheduled the session. She then said she must’ve emailed the purchase price list to me prior to the session. I then opened up all of the emails that I had saved from her and I over the past couple weeks. I showed her the emails on my phone and no email existed. She looked at them and had her glasses on. She of course said I must not know how to use email. She then started to call me a liar and told me that my feelings were warped. She said I must not be feeling well because I was being ridiculous. No one has ever had a problem with her pricing. I told her that I did in fact feel a little bit cheated and I felt like she had withheld the prices until I was at her home and pictures had already been taken. She continued to insult me by saying I have no idea what quality work is and I must just hire the«fake» photographers that don’t do it for a living only a hobby. She continued on with the insults to my character. I am obviously willing to pay for good quality work and I paid $ 140 for the session. I was more than willing to pay about $ 20 to print but I thought $ 75 was extremely high. She did tell me at this point that of course I was not obligated to buy anything… This is the worst kind of bait and switch. Pictures of your kids or animals that you have to pay crazy high $ for or just walk away. Shame on you. She became upset and said she would refund my money to which I said okay. She quickly changed her mind and said she would only pay half since she had already done work editing the photos. I said fine. She then again changed her mind and said she would not refund any of the money. She told me that I looked like somebody that would go around town bad mouthing her so why would she refund any of my money. She said I just looked like the kind of person that would do bad for no reason. My response was just that if somebody asked me what my experience was with her in-particular I sure wouldn’t lie. I obviously have no photos to show for the money I spent on the session fee. She was very insulted that I would even group her in with a photographer that would do the session fee and include any kind of pictures or CD format of images. Or even reasonable pricing. All of her insulting and name calling was in front of my children! I had to tell my kids to wait outside. As I left the house she yelled after me that she felt cheated and was only making $ 1 an hour off me. If she spent 140 hours editing my photos then she isn’t very good. My opinion. Her work was ok. When working with animals and props you should have an assistant especially if charging $ 140 for a session. She was not prepared and missed quite a few shots that would’ve been fabulous pictures if she would have had somebody there to help her. She did then go on to post about me on Facebook(not using my name) about how I was trying to get something for nothing and was a liar from the beginning. She is still using my photos on her Facebook as advertisement pictures. I have asked her to take them down and she is refusing. Overall this is the most unprofessional photographer I have ever worked with. I have my children’s pictures taken at least twice a year and like to try new local talent for creative ideas. I did ask some local people about her and found out I was not the first to be treated this way:(Bottom line is I am out $ 140, have no photos and I will never recommend her to anybody ever. Beware.
