Run, don’t walk away from this contractor. The first red flag was he told me he was ADD. The second was he told me all the bad things OTHER contractors do that he doesn’t do. The third was his crew showed up late the first day and left trash on the ground.
Mike talks a good game but has poor QA and follow-​up. He dumped a mound of dirt on my lawn and left it there several days. Of course that killed my lawn. Mike said he’d come back and fix and guess what? Haven’t seen him.
After agreeing on a price and scope of work, Mike raised the price on the contact — something OTHER contractors do that he NEVER does. I refused to sign and told him he had to abide by the verbal agreement. He relented and rewrote the contract. How did he compensate? He chopped 1.5 feet off my yard extension, didn’t level and cover with rock an area, and he didn’t tier the landscape wall. Instead of two walls I got one.
On one of the gates they misaligned the hasp and rod so badly, I had to slam the gate to get it to shut. I got tired of that and realigned it myself. The holes were off by more than half an inch. On the other gate they cut the slats too long. Gravity doing what it does, the gate now drags on the ground. I have to lift it up.
I do not recommend this contractor. I can’t give no stars, that’s the only reason he got one
