I always alternate between Phó Dragon and Phó King, they’re both excellent. The service is excellent, food is fresh, and the menu has a good variety. There’s parking in the back. No tripe, tendon, or brown rice. Heads up.

I’m not a big fan of Phở. In general, I find it to be bland and ordinary and little better than a bowl of egg drop soup that’s had a ton of stuff dumped in. I know how the broth is made and it’s immediately obvious if that hallmark richness and complexity is not there. If somebody uses a packaged broth — because it’s a LOT of trouble to make this properly — it tells you that with ONE sip. Phở Dragon is just absolutely sublime. I’ve now seen their process for making their decadent broth and it’s exactly as the Phở gods intended. The broth is rich and multi-layered and spicy and mouth-watering and does just what Phở is supposed to do with a bowl full of veggies and meats: softens and hydrates and infuses it all with real flavor. We’ve now been back three times and had six different types of what they make. It’s all been the best Phở I have ever tasted. The people are happy and friendly and the prices are among the best food bargains available anywhere in the greater Seattle area. NINEBUCKS for a large bowl that most people won’t even finish in one sitting. I removed all the noodles and veggies from mine after dinner, refrigerated those and the broth separately, and reheated it all for lunch the next day. STILL wonderful! For what we paid for two orders of this stuff, we coudn’t even eat at one of the city’s local-fave brger joints and, if we did, it wouldn’t be anywhere close to this interesting, aromatic, and flavorful. Phở Dragon is two and a half miles from our house and it’s such a blessing for a picky ex-chef who’s rarely pleased with anthing made in a restaurant. We plan to go back regularly and explore the whole menu.

Phở Dragon is the Omega. A place so delicious it inspired me to write a Unilocal review. The Banh Mi is a level of decadence at an unreal price point. This has to be the #1 flavor for your dollar in Tacoma. Make the trip for this alone. I made a pickup order, ate all of it. Called in another smattering of choices and went back to pick it up as well. It tests your level of self control like an EDM concert. Go here.

I wish there was a no star option. This place has no respect for customer, especially if you’re togo your order, they will give you something else instead and you wont find out until you got home. We had the broken rice to-go a couple times, and more than one time, when my bf picked up, turned out it was regular rice, NOT broken rice, plain old regular sticky rice, no it wasn’t even sticky, I think it was previous day’s rice that they’re selling us because some were very dry already. Yep, happen not just one time but 3 times in a row(all togo order). I’m quite sure they did it on purpose now. They probably thought if you’re not Vietnamese, you wont know the difference of broken rice or regular. Will not come back or recommend to anyone. Also their«My Quang»(rice noodle) is nasty, the noodle was soggy and broken. That is not the«my quang»(aka rice noodle).

I’ve driven past this area so much that it’s never crossed my mind to actually stop here. My wife and I were actually trying to go to Vien Dong, but they were closed for whatever reason. We came to Phở Dragon because of that reason. I ordered the BBH and a bbq chicken bahn mi and my wife just got the brisket phở. My BBH was just«okay». but the bahn mi was great! First bite, I didn’t really enjoy it. but then the aftertaste had me hooked. The noodles in both the phở and bbh were too chewy though. Outside of the food, the establishment is pretty small and dark inside. Everyone from the back kitchen came out and sat down in the dining area and were talking pretty loudly. it was kind of obnoxious. it was a fun experience. I mean, one time experience.

Wow, good selection here. I am pretty traditional, and have been at several viet restaurant in tacoma, but this one is the best. Great home made taste. Good central region selection. Good soup and claypot dishes. Love it

Ok, so, I spent the last 3 months making my rounds to EVERY Phở restaurant in T-town and my vote is in! First let me tell you what I DIDN’T like about the others. One had a funky smelling broth, the other hadnt cleaned the chili sauce off the walls since the last time I was there! Now on to what I DID like about THIS place: egg rolls were NOT greasy at all and were some of the crispest best I have had in a long time! The Phở oh the Phở can I just tell you that it was so chock full of chicken, noodles, bean srpouts and the smell, oh that smell of Star Anise was spot on! I would highly suggest coming here quick before everyone else figures out it is the best in town! And btw, the competitors can show me their awards for best Phở on the wall all they want, but I am telling you, awards dont mean a thing to me if its not good food!

This place is a must for lunch or dinner. The staff are helpful and accommodating. Duck soup was delicious. Deep fried dumplings and barbecued grilled beef were delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Everything is super fresh! Best Phở I’ve ever had. I also had Vietnamese sandwich and it was perfect. The service was great, nothin like a family run business. I’ll be back the next time I’m in Tacoma

Amazing Bun Bön Hue!!! I’m from the Bay Area and we have amazing Vietnamese places but this place would do extremely well if it was in California. No wait. Very Authentic. The price was amazing! Only $ 7.99. The quality they provide would easily sell for 11.99 in San Jose. My only con about this place is the service for the amount of traffic this place gets. I don’t think they came around enough to make sure we were okay. But it’s satisfactory for an asian establishment. If I’m ever in the area again, I’d come back here for sure!

This is a great place to eat legit food and the people are so nice! Definitely worth the stop if you want some really deviously made food in a laid back environment. Everyone in the Seattle region must try this place. It won’t disappoint at all. Enjoy!

Hands down the best phở restaurant I’ve been too in tacoma\lakewood area. I’ve been too about 20 or so phở restaurants and the meat was really fresh and the bread was still crispy but so soft. I tried the broth and they said it soaks in for 8 hours and it tastes like it.

To start we were seated the elderly Vietnamese man addressed me and turned his back to my wife as he asked for our drink orders asking me not my wife what she wanted to drink. Food was a three star for the phở and the thai noodles were a one star, but Yea I get that it’s a Vietnamese place not a thai place so not supper upset on that one.

My husband said the phở was the best he has tasted and the great thing is that it’s MSG free. I like getting spring roles when I am not feeling very hungry and I really enjoyed them. They are priced better than other places, other places I have been to, you only get 1 – 2 for around the same price. The strawberry bubble tea was also very yummy. The staff was friendly, inside was clean and nicely decorated. I am glad we live near by, will be returning soon.

They have roaches!!! Like big ones! I snapped a picture while my friend was being overcharged for the two bowls of phở we had… They charged her card $ 150.00+(some odd amount) when she asked if they had just done that the gentleman got on the phone. He did not know how to refund the payment nor did anyone there. They then charged her $ 17.something.(Where had the 15(0.00) come from? Days later it still hasn’t been refunded. If I could give no stars I would. I can’t believe no one mentions the GIANTROACHES???

This place has never disappoint us! My mom comes to visit from Little Saigon in Orange County often and this is the ONLY place I will take her for authentic Vietnamese food. Their 3 color Che dessert is delicious and the best around here!
