was there yesterday and had a veggie omelet and coffee. it was pretty good, but the coffee was just ok. my girlfriend had hamsteak and eggs and liked the coffee. the restaurant is not in the nicest part of town but the people are friendly and do their best to make sure your order is okay and your treated good. the place isn’t fancy by no means but sometimes the best diners aren’t that fancy. me and my girlfriend will come again.

Nothing special. Food is ok. One good thing is they are never very crowded, so you can get in and out quickly. The staff are very friendly too. Typical dive good for a quick breakfast or Lunch.

Let’s be honest, Pegasus is a dive in a crappy part of town. BUT it’s one of my favorite dives in Tacoma. Walking in feels like you’ve been transported to the 70s, nothing fancy… leather booths that are too small to almost fit in, counter with bar stools and regulars sipping coffee. I know that there is a Unicorn Bar in the back of the restaurant but I have not braved that as of yet. One thing about the Pegasus that always gets me to return are the wonderful waitresses that work here. Big hair and big hearts, I tell ya. Very friendly. Food is okay, I usually order the same thing time and time again but its oooh so good! Cups are large for fountain drinks and the service is fairly fast. Usually in and out of there in 30 min or less.

My boyfriend and i come here for breakfast after playing at the Emerald Queen. I actually don’t care for the food, but our waitress is so nice… she actually is the best thing about this place. The coffee is nasty… yuck taste stale. I always ask for eggs to be over easy but not runny. never happens… i end up now asking them to be scramble cuz they muck it up every time… hashbrowns…not good… bacon, super greasy… ham steak, cut thin and is dried up… and something is wrong with the toaster… it doesnt toast… english muffin comes to me almost everytime untoasted and i have to send it back… I would not eat here but my boyfriend likes the place… i would rather eat at the jack n the box down the street!!!

NASTY!!! I don’t think that was coffee i was drinking, and if it was it was a few days old. eww. My mom and i ordered a cheese burger. what a mistake. It tasted unlike anything ive ever had. Everything was dirty the waitress was rude and the food sucked. :(When i make it up to Washington again, ill be avoiding this place!

No half and half for their coffee. just some chemical non dairy creamer that has ZERO cream on the ingredients just like they don’t give real butter but a clump of margarine(aka plastic) but they have real butter hidden. You have to ask for it and let me tell you that it tasted spoiled so I didn’t use it. The interior is old 70s style maybe earlier but nothing is torn up so I’m sure the owner figured if it’s not broke. ain’t no reason to fix it. The breakfast menu is pretty basic and they post specials on the board that seems reasonable in price until you realize the quality of the food is bad. The hash browns are from a frozen bag so don’t expect fancy homestyle potatoes here. It’s a run down dive. You can smell stale smoke that flows over from the bar on the other side of the kitchen which is not good if you don’t smoke. The lady who worked the counter was very friendly but that doesn’t help the rest of their issues. You can expect some undesirables or folks that look homeless to come in for breakfast in the morning and sit right down beside you although they can spread out anywhere since there is hardly any business here to say there’s no place to sit when you can sit anywhere. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the lady was really sweet and accommodating. I really didn’t enjoy the meal at all and left a lot on the plate. I have no reason to come back but some of the reviews made me want to see this for myself. If you come here, you go at your own risk. I can’t speak on their lunch or dinner menu but I can assume it’s low quality like their breakfast. If you want a good breakfast in Tacoma, take drive over to Shakabra(or however you spell it) It’s a small hole in the wall but the food puts this place to shame.

If you are put off by décor do not come here. It is run down and dingy. The tables used to be permanently sticky(they have recently reupholstered them.) The staff is nice, friendly and attentive. I come here for the large chicken fried steak, your eggs, hash browns and toast come on one plate, and the CFS covers an entire second plate! And it is good! I love it when I feel like I have got a good deal at a restaurant, and I feel that way here. Who cares if the building is a little run down, it’s not an art museum it’s a diner.

Looking for a good greasy spoon joint in the Tacoma area? Pegasus is your spot! I had heard so much about this place from my boss and other colleagues that it became a mission to go there on my last trip to Tacoma. The neighborhood is a little gamey, we would have kept on driving had it not been for the cops we saw seated inside as we drove up. It comforted us knowing we had law enforcement in the building should their services be needed. Inside is what you would expect from a run down diner, out dated décor and fixtures. In the back of the restaurant there is a bar that I was told was once a strip joint. Since it was breakfast time I didn’t have a chance to check out that scene. I ordered the breakfast sandwich similar to an egg mcmuffin with a side of hashbrowns. HOLYMARY that was some good grub. Totally hit the spot. A majority of us ordered the same thing with the expection of the one man in the group who ordered some meat-tastic dish that I vowed I will try next time I go. There will most definitley be another visit to good ol’ Pegasus in my future. I guarantee it!

I came her for the first time last Saturday for breakfast. We showed up around 11am and there were plenty of seats. The ambiance is that of elementary school cafeteria meets fear and loathing. Our server was prompt and oh-so-sweet. She acted like she really cared how we were doing, and I actually believed her. Ordered the biscuits and gravy with two eggs special for $ 4.95. It was perfect. The gravy was homemade with huge chunks of sausage, the biscuits were light and fluffy with a greasy and crusty bottom, and the eggs were cooked just how I like ‘em. I also had two screw drivers with my meal. They were small but packed a punch. Definitely made my previous evening ‘s wrongdoings go away. I hesitated to Unilocal this place because I think it is a treasure and the location probably keeps most people away, but I will for sure be back and I think more people should try it. Why wait 20 – 30 minutes for a decent breakfast on a Saturday morning when you can go to the Pegasus?

I’ve passed this place HUNDREDS of times… WHY have I not gone in until now!!! This is the dive I’ve been searching for, complete with wood paneled walls(which are incidentally to cover up the ORANGEFORMICA!!) and brown brick, brown leather booths and counter seating. Crazy 70’s chandeliers, a rack for personal mugs. and a waitress that will call you honey. you can feel the grease on everything you touch. and of coarse they have the KILLER dive breakfast food that is sooo good when you eat it, but HURTS an hour later. I only hope the Lounge«Unicorn Room»(which has it’s own entrance in the back of the place, is as cool, I would gladly become a regular here… and I WILL be getting some pictures the next time I’m there
