ON a whim my sister and I decided to try Mona’s. She had a coupon and we had tickets for a show down the street. I ordered the Beef Cannelloni and it was a nice sized portion that came with a side salad. The waitress put our salad condiments(olives, cheese and sliced grape tomatoes) on a separate dish from our salad so that we could dress our salads to our liking. Alas no croutons were provided and the balsamic vinegar dressing was all vinegar with little to no oil. For some reason(and I couldn’t figure out why) our dressings were served in a little, sealed«to go» cup instead of a cruet or dish. The cannelloni was an excellent sized portion and very good. Our beers came with a solid inch of foam every time which tells me that either whomever poured them didn’t do it properly or it’s too warm. Upon tasting it we decided it was a little bit of both. We found it rather odd that half the place was completely dark but I’m assuming that they reserve one side for large parties and the other for everyday service. It was very quiet for a Thursday evening with a hostess and two waitresses on staff. One waitress was taking care of an eight person party and we along with three/four other tables were left with whom we believe to be «Shawna» to wait on us. At least that’s the server listed on the receipt but we did notice that she was having someone else enter our order/ticket into the computer. Now«Shawna» was rather interesting and is the main reason I downgraded my experience to a two star rating. She was dressed very casual, wearing some kind of hat/beanie with long brown hair. We had to repeat our orders several times and she seemed«out of it» in general. She kept brushing her hair back over her shoulder with the back of her hand as she leaned over the table while talking/listening to us which was rather off putting because I’m pretty sure she didn’t stop and wash her hands before handling plates, food or glassware. When a waitress has long hair she really needs to have it pulled back. The hat she had on just didn’t cut it. She kept referring to our beers as sweet tea when refilled. During the next 20 minutes while eating she would walk past and ask how everything was without even stopping or slowing down to hear our answer. When we asked for our bills she mixed the orders up and had to redo it(we only had three people with two tickets). She apologized for the error and quickly rectified that. But my biggest beef was the«pet names» she kept calling us. Specifically it went from«Honey» to «Sweetie» but then she crossed the line by calling me «Sweetcheeks» twice. Now I can barely abide someone younger than me, who doesn’t know me, addressing me as «Honey» or «Sweetie,» but to refer to a customer as «Sweetcheeks» is just downright inappropriate and I found it very offensive. It’s not a strip joint nor nightclub nor am I a child or infant. I will say that our food appeared quickly and was delicious. We want to come back and try the pizza because we have heard it’s good but we would specifically request a different waitress if «Shawna» was there again.

I would never have even found out about this place if not for Unilocal’s groovy new EAT24 app!(Thanks Unilocal, you always cost me PayPal dollars! LOL!) Actually, I totally LOVE the EAT24 app, simply because I don’t always have a lot of cash on hand but usually have a little something on PayPal, and love to find decent places that accept PayPal payments, especially over the phone with an app! Way cool. Okay, so the night before I wrote this review, I found Mona Pizza & Pasta on EAT24. I checked out their menu, which seemed pretty nice! They had so many of my pasta favorites! I was bummed that they don’t offer regular Seafood Fettuccine(only choices were Prawn OR Salmon, but nothing like prawns, salmon, clams, shrimp, scallop, etc all blended together), so I decided on Spaghetti, which is one of my favorite foods on the planet… especially when I make it myself at home! Anyway, I placed my order with the app: Spaghetti with marinara sauce, plus a side of garlic bread. I opted to spend the extra $ 1.50 for meatballs, which sounded like a fair price. I was, however, a bit fooled by the app menu: it did NOT clearly indicate that you got garlic bread WITH your pasta, so I clicked on garlic bread. Turns out, my receipt showed I ordered«extra garlic bread», but that’s fine, I loves me some fresh, hot garlic bread! Thanks to my GPS sending me too far down the street. I had to call them to see where they were. Turns out they are located directly between Loose Wheel saloon and Denny’s. The gal on the phone was very friendly and polite. I quickly found the place. The parking lot seemed a bit empty for a Saturday night, but oh well. When I walked in, I was greeted right away by a very friendly gal. The app said my order would take 40 minutes, but it was ready within minutes after I got there. NOWFORTHEFOOD: To begin with, it was HOT. When I pick up any orders to go from any restaurant, I prefer to eat them right away rather than drive across town and let stuff get cold. So, I pulled across the street into the Safeway parking lot and parked to eat. The noodles were cooked to perfection! And, another important thing I look for; there wasn’t too much water in the bottom(a sign that the cooks CARE how they serve their pasta). So far, so good. I spotted 5 meat balls for the $ 1.50 extra I paid. 30 cents each for meatballs is a great price! I also noticed 4 nicely wrapped aluminum foil things in the bag. Turns out, that was my garlic bread AND my extra garlic bread. Liking my bread hot and soft, I dug into that right away. SOHEREYAGO: 1. Spaghetti had almost as little sauce as Olive Garden, but not QUITE that bad. Next time, I’ll order EXTRASAUCE! I prefer a little sauce in each bite, not a bunch of plain noodles. Loved the melted cheese on top! Nice touch. 2. Being a lover of pasta, I’m also a lover of garlic. Well, I didn’t taste even the slightest hint of garlic in the spaghetti. Sure, it was marinara sauce, but they could have added a little garlic, even if just garlic powder or garlic salt. Just add garlic! 3. Those 5 little meatballs? Kind of chewy and not very hot, plus very little flavor. NOT worth the extra $ 1.50 after all. My suggestion would be for the cooks to put the meatballs UNDER the noodles and sauce for to-go orders, since it might be a while until the customer gets to eat them. That would keep them hot and moist. Mine were so dry and chewy that I could hardly finish the second one, and 3 of the 5 got tossed in the trash bag with the uneaten garlic bread. 4. That«garlic bread» they served? More like hot dog buns or hoagy rolls, not the typical French Bread you would expect. And half of it was way too hard and crunchy, obviously sitting a while. It was baked to perfection, not dark or burned, but still hard and crunchy for the most part. I think less than half of it I tossed out. Won’t ask for«extra» again. 5. The little salad they give you? Came in a cute little box, and was fresh and crisp! I would have preferred a second little tub of ranch. Still a great side salad. TOSUMITALLUP: This was my FIRST visit to Mona Pizza & Pasta, so I can’t hate them just yet. Different cooks prepare things better or worse. I can’t let ONE to-go order stop me from coming back and trying more! The price for spaghetti was VERY fair: $ 9.99 with Marinara. Save your $ 1.50 for meatballs unless you plan on dining in. Which is what I plan to do next time. They have an even bigger menu on their website than they do on the EAT24 app, so if you’re hungry and looking for a place to eat, I’d give this place a try. Just don’t use EAT24’s menu, go to and view their extensive menu! I would have hoped to give them 5 stars on my first visit, but could only muster up 3 because I’ve had better spaghetti, meatballs AND garlic bread at most other places. However, the spaghetti was cooked just right, and wasn’t «bad», so they get 3 stars. Not the best, but OK.

Pretty good food. Had the combo pizza and my wife had the white pasta with mozithra. Food came quickly and the place was clean. Was a faint smell of mildew in our booth for some reason.

Ok. This pizza and wings was awesome! It was very hot when it arrived. The delivery time was quick and the price was average for this food. We were very pleased and will get MONA again. Highly recommend.

I order pizza delivery all of the time. We love the Greek pizza and subing feta for goat cheese. The cheesecake is unimpressive while the chocolate cake is very impressive. Amazing baklava. Pastas are good, calzones are good. My boyfriend likes their wings(I do not). Try the Greek with goat cheese it’s our monthly go to.

We order from Mona at least twice a month. Our favs are the Calzones and Pasta(tortellini and spaghetti w/meatballs) Ordering online through their website is fast and efficient. The food always gets here quick and is hot. Salads are great too!

This place is completely awful. I wish I had looked at these reviews before hand and saved my money. Our waitress was so clearly on some kind of drugs, or drunk. She was slurring her words, asking us the same questions over and over again, not making eye contact, etc. She was a really nice person, just not all there. My boyfriend ordered dinner for the whole table, and everyone got their dinner except him. His order wasn’t even on the bill, so she obviously missed that part of it while she was in LALAland. The food was okay, the Buffalo wings didn’t taste like Buffalo wings, more like just hot wings. The service is awful, I will not be returning, ever.

I was getting bored of the chain pizza places and wanted to try something new. I ordered a two topping pizza and salad for delivery. The estimate on delivery was 45 minutes. My pizza and salad arrived in about 30 minutes. The service was good and the food was good and it was actually cheaper than other chain pizza places. Received exactly what I was expecting.

Great customer service over the phone. Girl that answered the phone was very helpful. Ordered the LG mona special with the green bell peppers replaced with Italian sausage, cheesy bread, 10 wings with the sauce on the side. The wings are great with the sauce on the side. Actually don’t need any sauce because the dry rub on them are more than enough. The pizza was great. Everything tasted fresh. And it wasn’t over seasoned like most pizza places. The cheesy bread wasn’t worth it imo. Overall the order was great and came faster than expected. Definitely will order again.

I’m trying to figure out how this place has been able to stay open if my dining experience from tonight is any indication of how they operate. First, staff was very pleasant when we arrived. There were three other tables already seated. She took our order and all seemed fine. I ordered the veggie lasagna and my date ordered the meatball calzone, with two Caesar salads. Salads came out quickly and tasted, average I would say. Shortly after finishing them, the calzone arrived and she said mine was on the way. A few minutes later she returned to inform me that«there was a mix up in the kitchen and they made a meat one» but they were remaking it right now. No worries I told her, I understand things happen. About five minutes later a verbal fight started taking place in the kitchen. At this point one of the tables had paid and left but for us three tables, quite the show we had. The argued for what had to be the north side of 7mins. It was difficult to understand most of it but ever person in the restaurant heard it, EVERYONE. A few minutes later she returned to inform me that she was very sorry about it taking so long but it would be out very soon I told her not to worry and I was fine. When my food finally did arrive, it looked very good. But that’s about it. I’ll say this, it was the best lasagna soup I’ve ever had. How do you make lasagna runny? It tasted Okay and was good enough for me, so I did eat it. I would rate this place as three stars but unfortunately I can not do that. I wouldn’t recommend and I doubt I’ll return.

I just ordered my usual from Mona. The bella tortellini is always excellent. but they always forget my salad. Today was the 3rd time its happened to me. I called because I really wanted the salad, and I don’t understand why this continually happens. I talk to a person and let her know my order. After calling me back, she says they have new people and they just put it in for extra bread instead of a salad even though I specifically clicked salad online. Sometimes I split my order and order extra bread. Okay, but making excuses on the phone and making it the customer’s problem is unacceptable. Instead of offering to bring salad(which I have asked them to do before on a previous forgotten order) she says, well you weren’t charged, but you can do a whole other order for a side salad(which would then be a problem because you have to spend x amount of money for an order). Then I decided to come here to see if I was the only one experiencing this and see the damn cockroach picture. I’m not touching my food now and just wasted a bunch of money at Mona. Cmon, considering how delicious the pasta is(the pizza crust could be way better). I would think they could do so much better. The menu is good! The execution lately has been incredibly disappointing.

Granted the delivery time was an hour and I live .4 miles away, I know I could picked it up but gave me time to build my hunger. I would have to say the food was on point, I enjoyed my Greek salad and my rib tips! They came steaming hot and the house dressing was amazing. But my mozzarella sticks mediocre but that’s expected cause it cheese. I really like you’re food! Keep it up!

So, the only reason I am giving this place two stars is because they had a big menu with lots of items and delivery time was exactly as quoted. However, I ordered mozzarella sticks that were extremely soggy. The pizza was mediocre at best, the toppings didn’t seem fresh. I’ve had frozen pizzas taste better. Not to mention I’ve been having stomach cramps and running to the bathroom for a few hours after consuming. I hate to talk bad about a company specially because I only tried them once but I can’t bring myself to order again. To those that order after me I wish you the best and hope it turns out great and that this was just a fluke. I thought this was a new place that opened up because we got coupons in the mail and I had never heard of it but apparently this place has been around for a while and theres a reason I have not heard of this place.

The food was alright, but it was definitely not worth the price. When I was building my own calzone and I didn’t select ricotta cheese, I didn’t expect ricotta cheese to be a default cheese that they will put in there anyway.$ 7 for 8 mozzarella sticks seemed too good to be true, and it was. The cheese wasn’t melted and they were floppy. I’m assuming they microwave them since I can go to wal-mart and spend $ 5 on over 20 mozzarella sticks, stick them in the oven for 5 minutes, and they will be of a better quality. They weren’t the worst, but they weren’t the best, so that’s why I gave 3 stars.

Today we had the Greek Salad, Breaded Cheese Ravioli, and the Combo Special Pizza. The food tasted fine, nothing special but very acceptable. However, we found several shards of broken glass in our pizza. Beware!

The online ordering process was actually very easy and fluid. Not glitchy at all. It was delivered quickly and the pizza guy was friendly. The delivery charge was also very cheap! Only 99 cents. We ordered the House Special and the Greek Special pizza. Both were very delicious. Among that, my friend ordered the breaded raviolis and bread sticks. Toppings: All tasted very fresh and flavorful. It didn’t taste like anything was frozen or freezer burnt. The veggies cooked down, but not to where they’re mush. They still had a bit of a bite. The bacon was crisp and there were no fatty, burnt, or gristle pieces that I hate. The gyro meat became a little dry in the cooking process, but you could tell it was well seasoned. It tasted like actual gyro meat and not the mixture of hamburger/Italian sausage that some places try to pass off as gyro meat. Cheese: If you love a very cheesy pizza, this is the place for you. Normally I order extra cheese, but with them you really don’t need to. There is nothing I hate more than a pizza place that skimps on the cheese, so to me this place has it right. However, if you’re not a big fan of heavily cheesed pizzas, I’d try asking them to go light on it. The cheese tasted fresh and flavorful. Sauce: The Greek Special comes with a side of tzatziki. I was disappointing at how very little they give you. Only 2 tiny containers for a large pizza. My friend received more marina for her appetizers than we did tzatziki for our entire pizza. It just seemed very disproportionate. As someone who cries over the thought of how good tzatziki is, I was deeply hurt by such a tiny amount. The tzatziki itself was pretty good, but nothing beats my own. Sorry. Also, it became a little runny from the heat of the pizza. I think they should have kept it separate. The marinara/pizza sauce was rich and flavorful. You could see the specks of herbs and flavor throughout it. Since they gave my friend an excess of marinara, I used the leftovers on pasta the next day. Boy was it good. Also, they didn’t drown their House Pizza with marinara, it was just the right amount. The Greek Special was supposed to have a garlic olive oil base, but I couldn’t really taste it that much. I feel like it’s meant to compliment the other flavors rather than stand out on it’s own, so I guess it’s fine. Crust: The pizzas have flakey/almost airy like crust. I appreciate that it’s not heavy or greasy like some pizza places, but it couldn’t really stand up to the amount of toppings and cheese that were on it. It became a bit soggy and floppy. I don’t really mind a soft/floppy pizza, but if you need your pizza to be crispy, I wouldn’t order anything with more than 2 or 3 toppings. Despite the flaws, the crust still had a nice light yeasty flavor and it wasn’t doughy or under cooked. Breadsticks: Uh, please avoid these at all costs. When I think breadsticks… I think soft, buttery, dreamy, garlicy, with that subtle hint of parmesan sprinkled throughout. These sticks were very dense and chewy, like trying to eat a tire. Other parts were extremely crunchy and hard with a few actually being hollow inside. They were supposed to have parmesan, olive oil, and italian seasoning, but they tasted like they had nothing on them. No flavor at all. Breaded Raviolis: I didn’t try these myself, but my friend seemed to enjoy them. In conclusion, there are some minor flaws with this place, but overall I enjoyed my dinner and had a pleasurable experience. As someone who has a heart-on for gyros, I really appreciate the fact that they have a greek pizza with gyro meat and tzatziki. It’s my two favorite foods combined, so definitely one of my favorite pizzas. I’ll be ordering again.

Ordered a Northwest Pizza and breaded raviolis. The pizza was pretty much what you’d expect, no better no worse than any other pizza place. The breaded raviolis were good, but seemed like just frozen and then microwaved. Overall I’d give the food 6⁄10. What gets one star is the service. Ordered my pizza online and added Gyro meat to the Northwest special. The phone number i put in didnt have service in the area so I called them to give them an updated number just in case. The woman that answered the phone was rude and off putting, but not really a big deal if it ended at that. The pizza came, and it turned out to be the wrong pizza so I called them back, the lady laughed saying oh thats funny and we’ll send another out then hung up. When the other pizza got here, another 30+ minutes, it had no pesto written on the ticket and came with no pesto. Still got charged the price with the extra topping, and definitely didn’t ask for no pesto. Didn’t feel like it was worth calling the place back and they gave me the other pizza for free anyway, so I wasn’t overly angry. Would still never eat there again, and am extremely unsatisfied.
