Legacy Renovation is to be avoided. They were tasked with replacing several hundred windows and sashes in the Queen Anne High School condominiums. The work they did was shoddy, and their support was non-existent. The sashes they installed had cracks in the top rails where the locks were attached because they didn’t pre-drill, or didn’t build them robustly enough. The same thing for the handles on the bottom edge. Not only are there cracks radiating with the grain from every screw, but the handles aren’t even centered. It’s like they just eyeballed the handles and screwed them straight in. The screws themselves are not matched to the hardware, or to eachother. Maybe they had a jar of random screws laying around and figured most people wouldn’t notice. The heads of the screws are ALL heavily stripped. When I called them out to look at the cracks in the top rails, it took them a couple of weeks to come out and look. They had to come back again to «fix» the problem. Their fix was to paint over the cracks. I called them back out when it was apparent that nothing had been done to fix the underlying problem. They removed the affected sashes, boarding up the windows. They waited two weeks before come back to install«fixed» windows, and guess what? They were the same sashes, with the same cracks, but this time they had applied a little spackle to the cracks and painted over them again. As you can see, this is a company that does not think quality work is important, and thinks customers are too stupid to recognize when they are being swindled.
