Amazing food and service! The mango fried rice is to die for will be coming back again soon to try something new. I loved how they had so many vegetarian options as well!

The food was good. I really appreciate a restaurant that makers which items are gluten free on the menu and I can tell you with certainty there wasn’t not gluten in what we ordered. The spring rolls were of a generous size, actually all the dishes were pretty generous. We had spring rolls, Thai beef salad, phad thai and sautéd basil curry. We will be going again when we are in the area.

10 star review. Pearl Street Indochine chefs — you guys really are culinary geniuses. After having dined at your place 3 or 5 times(all great experiences,) this time I had the Cashew Chicken for carry-out on this cold rainy day. I really should have taken a picture because it was so colorful to look at with all the vegetables. There must have been 6 different vegetable types along with mushrooms and a generous portion of chicken and whole cashews. Yum… It’s crazy that I am typing this but — This could possibly be the best meal I have had in the last few years — Anywhere! Steamed white rice on the side for only like $ 1.50 was so worth it — but in retrospect, it was unneeded — there was SOMUCHFOOD in the cashew chicken box. Had to give half to my husband(who was also in heaven.) Thanks Indochine for whipping up brilliant Thai dishes with perfectly balanced sauces/spices. Considering the sheer volume of food in that container today… Your prices are more than fair. I have experienced the DownTown Tacoma Indochine which is also awesome, but not quite up to the level of the Pearl St. One, IMO. We’ll be back…

There are two Indochines in Tacoma. One downtown and one on Pearl. I work downtown so one would think it would make sense to go to the one there which apparently has a great atmosphere but parking down that way is also much more tedious too. I decided to go to the one on Pearl because the parking is easier. Not necessarily easy but easier. I got seated right away and service was very attentive and speedy throughout my meal. I got a Crispy Chow Mein which had thin, crunchy noodles which was exactly what I was looking for. The dish tasted quite good! No complaints to say. The food was good and fresh and I certainly would go back!

The fresh spring rolls are very good. Been getting them forever. Food is always good. Service needs improvement. Getting seated and waiting for any type service more than ten minuets is not my thing

Food is good. Service is atrocious. This is the second time I have gotten a to-go order and had to wait an additional 20+ minutes to get my food(not an exaggeration). This has been a more recent development in my experience as far as the poor service goes. Additionally, there was not even so much as an apology for the wait. Suggestion: at least make an effort to remedy the mistake and if you cannot at least apologize to your customer. Also, I wasn’t the only one experiencing bad service this evening. I saw multiple frustrated customers come in and out of the restaurant… one person had waited over 30 minutes over their quoted time. Good luck, hope this place turns the downhill trend around for future patrons.

My boyfriend and I have been here a couple times now and we’ve enjoyed this place. The thai iced tea is the best thing here that we love! We’ve tried the red coconut curry, which I thought didn’t have a thick consistency but more watery. The pad thai had too much red onion… never had it with it before but I didn’t enjoy it. It was too overwhelming. The pad see ew was great but I’m not a big fan of huge piece of broccoli in it. My boyfriend thought the Singapore noodles were made better by me. ^-^* Overall, the food isn’t bad. A minor issue here and there but otherwise good! The customer service wasn’t the best except by the only white guy there taking orders. I forgot his name but he was very professional and polite. The old man and lady that brought out our food ended up just dropping our plates on the table and leaving. The busser didn’t seem to enjoy his duty of cleaning tables and kept hitting the back of my chair as he was doing the table behind us…*-* We’ll be back for the thai iced tea though!

Last night I suffered through one of the most apathetic dining experiences in Tacoma. If you want to read the details, by all means continue. But the bottom line is nothing about our experience was up to even the most forgiving of standards. Avoid this place at all costs. Let’s start with the parking. To be specific, the lack thereof. To be fair the restaurant is small and doesn’t require many parking spots, but even the few they have are poorly arranged. When we pulled into the lot we assumed the place was busy because the lot was nearly full. We did see a spot– closer to the sidewalk that was angled awkwardly and we would’ve tried to take it if another car hadn’t been right behind us preventing the necessary maneuvering to fit into the tiny spot. We ended up parking on the street more than a block away. Next, upon entering the restaurant we were surprised to see that only ¼ of the tables were full and no one was waiting in front of us to be seated. Still, no one acknowledged our arrival for a full 7 minutes and then it was«Did you place an order for pickup?» Why would anyone assume that? When I said I’d like a table, the response was«Oh, it’s gonna be a minute». I’m not sure what they were doing in between the ungracious greeting and finally seating us at an empty table surrounded by other empty tables because everyone that was working had disappeared to the rear of the restaurant. Finally, a waiter introduced himself as Brad, brought us water said he’d take care of us and we never talked to him again. Instead, another lady who never introduced herself finally approached and said that she’d give us a few minutes to look over the menu. I kindly informed her that we didn’t need any more time and were ready to order. She looked like I was requesting the head of John the Baptist, but took our order anyway. My wife ordered the cashew chicken and I ordered the Mongolian beef. The lady asked if white rice was fine and I told her«Yes, we’d both like white rice and we may need to order extra.»(We really like rice) She paused and looked at me for a moment, which told me something was off, but she didn’t say anything and left. When the food arrived the ridiculousness continued. To begin with the«cashew» chicken didn’t contain a single cashew. My wife said it tasted fine, but the absence of cashews was just strange. It did come with a small bowl of white rice on the side. Next, while the«cashew» chicken was served on a large platter and seemed an appropriate portion, the Mongolian beef was paltry and served on those tasteless crunch white noodles that dissolve into mush the moment they come in contact with heat or moisture. We tried in vain to flag down either Brad or the unidentified lady to no avail. Finally, while Brad was ringing up a check we asked him to get us another order of rice. He said sure, but we never got the order of rice. And now, finally, the check. I’m still not sure we paid for the meal that we ordered or ate. The first check handed us was for four meals and cocktails. We ordered two meals and were never offered anything to drink other than water. The second check was for two meals, a soda, and an order of rice. We told them we did not order a soda and never received an extra order of rice. The check we paid for had removed the soda, but not the rice. By this time we were just ready to leave so we paid for the rice and considered that the tip. I can’t think of any reason why we would even give this lame excuse for a restaurant another chance. In fact, I can’t think of a reason why anyone else would give these jack wagons a first chance. Under no circumstances will I set foot in a restaurant managed by these people again.

We always receive such a warm and gracious reception at Indochine. The setting is comfortable and quiet. Food is delicious, served promptly and with appropriate follow up by the waiter. We love their Spring rolls with peanut sauce, and my wife often chooses the Swimming Rama. Clearly we choose Indochine often!

Wonderful food and service. The owner took time to greet all the customers and ensured everyone enjoyed their food. The Drunken Noodles were fantastic. Fried wontons were yummy. This is one of Tacoma’s best restaurants. Reasonably price and good sized portions.

We had dinner here April 15, 2015 and it was terrible. We usually love Indochine and were looking forward to their usual spicy flavorful fare. We ordered Pad See-Ew with chicken, Mongolian beef and Beef with Broccolli. All three dishes were bland, weirdly cooked and seemed to make no sense. The beef in both dishes was gray and over cooked with no sear on it. Both dishes had lots of gray gravy with no spiciness ATALL. We ordered it medium to spicy and it was completely devoid of flavor. Some of the vegetables were nearly raw while others were soggy and over cooked. The Mongolian beef was grey and wet and came on a handful of fried rice sticks. The Broccoli with Beef came wet and grey and with a mild sort of gravy. You wouldn’t know it had any broccoli in it unless you looked carefully and noticed some broccoli stalks. Meanwhile the Pad See-Ew came with a mountain of broccoli crowns all over it, no spice, some strange smashed pieces of chicken and sticky ball of noodles. The service was terrible, the food was below mediocre. We didn’t complain at the time because the wait staff were hard to find. We just left very dissatisfied. The parking lot was packed and we had to park a block away, but when we got in the restaurant there was only one other table of people. What in the world is going on at this once wonderful place?

Fresh spring rolls are to die for, and the food was also delicious. We ordered grilled lemongrass chicken, chicken panang curry and some type of noodles. Everything was delicious. The service was outstanding, but our drinks took forever to be served, and although we all ordered different drinks(respectively a coconut martini, a blue mermaid and a drunken buddha) they were all served in martini glasses. It would be so much nicer to have the drinks in their own glasses and decorated accordingly(we’ve had these drinks before in different thai places and they looked — and tasted — way better), to go along with the exotic food. For some it is just a detail, but for me drinks are a detail that can make a HUGE difference. A little pricey $$$, but still cheaper than the Indochine in dowtown, and the portions are bigger.

We get take out here about once every two weeks since we live so close. Big portions(definitely enough for two meals), good flavor and prompt service. Every time I go in the place is packed so they must be doing something right! We usually order some form of beef fried rice, with no stars since I’m a baby when it comes to spice, and chicken pad Thai with three stars. It’s always hot and ready when they say it will be. My only complaint is sometimes the food can be kind of greasy and not as fresh as I’d like. This won’t stop us from getting take out mind you, they just seem off some nights. It might be different if we sat in the restaurant instead of always getting take out. I’ve seen other reviewers post about the price being too expensive but when you consider the portion size, you are definitely getting what you pay for.

Never had a bad meal here. Even my husband, who doesn’t like«weird» food(he’s an American food, meat and potatoes guy), can find something he likes here. The only problem I have is trying to decide between the green curry or panang curry. Tough choice, but I win either way.

Amazing selection of food and great service. The tea is top of the line and the prices are great for how beautiful the inside is. Parking is not the best being in the same parking lot as a gas station but still a great place

Indochine has been my favorite Thai restaurants since I moved here. They have consistently great food. My favorite is the Vegetable Delight and I alternate between Chicken and Shrimp and have them leave out the Bell Peppers. I take clients there and they love it.

Just as good if not better than the one on Pacific. Small restaurant, but great food and cozy feel, plus a lot quieter than Pacific. Great date place.

This place was delightful. The food was great, the atmosphere was comfortable and the service was excellent. We were the last party there but they never made us feel rushed, and several of the staff came to chat with us and compliment our baby. This type of service, especially as a parent, is so welcome and inviting and, unfortunately, rare. The service alone would bring us back. The food was also delicious. We had the Cambodian pineapple curry, the pepper garlic chicken, the ginger chili chicken, pad Thai, and the toasted sesame wraps. The wraps and garlic chicken were excellent. The curry was also a solid curry dish, if somewhat less spicy than usual. The pad Thai was the only thing I was not impressed with, but it was still a decent staple. We also had a sorbet dessert that was absolutely delicious, the perfect end to the meal. I recommend ordering it, even if you weren’t planning on dessert. The atmosphere is great, with a décor that’s nice without being kitschy or stuffy. The restaurant is a little small, so you might have a bit of a wait at first, but the seating is intimate and comfortable. We had a baby and a toddler in our group so we were(understandably) put in the back, but even so it never felt like we were forgotten or cut off from the restaurant. If you’re looking for a nice, enjoyable meal before or after visiting Point Defiance or you just happen to be in the mood for Thai, I definitely recommend Indochine.

The décor is nice. The food is okay. Service has been consistently pleasant but very slow and glitch-prone. Prices are on the high side for the quality. I much prefer Silk Thai on 6th and Royal Thai Bistro over by TCC – much more interesting food, and quicker.
