Im a PLU offcampus student and I quite enjoy coming to Garfield. Although I buy my overpriced textbooks here too, that isnt my sole reason for goinhg. Garfeild has a nice sitting area for someone like my self to hang out, kill some time, study, eat, use the Wifi, whatev. The store has two levels, seems pretty new, and has a nice décor and ambiance. Other than textbooks, they have other cool gift-​type items and a section that features fair-​trade only products. The staff is friendly and helpful too.

So, funny story… not really, but I’m telling anyway. My maiden name is Lutes. PLU students/​followers are affectionately called Lutes. The husband and I thought it would be HILARIOUS to buy my dad some Lutes gear for Father’s Day and we headed over to this store. It’s a large sized bookstore with a great selection of books and PLU gear and the staff is quite friendly and helpful. We browsed the section of school gear and had quite a laugh. I’m not so sure why it’s hysterical to me, but it is so deal. I found their prices to be quite fair and I wound up walking out of there with about 50 bucks worth of merchandise for my whole family. Nice experience overall.
