Franciscan Women’s Health Associates At St. Joseph

After having a really negative experience with my 8 week ultrasound, I switched facilities entirely and tried Franciscan Women’s Health at St. Joe’s for my 20 week scan. I am so glad I did.
This is the ultrasound experience all pregnant people deserve. After parking in a free spot in the garage, we followed clear directions to the clean, well-​lit lobby space and checked in with a friendly, highly competent staff member who got us into a room with no wait. Vitals were taken by a friendly and thoughtful nurse and then we were walked to an ultrasound room with no wait. The technician was superb — clearly narrating every step of the process, checking in to see if we had any questions, asking appropriate questions of us, and offering to take another photo of our choice since we had time left at the end of the required scan elements. The doctor then came in within three minutes and acted patient and interested — not as if he were impatient. He went through the results clearly and respectfully and again welcomed questions. I was 100% satisfied and would recommend to any person seeking a prenatal ultrasound.

Update: I did indeed switch to a different practice for maternity care at 20+ weeks, and the difference is night and day. New place offers a much more personable environment with Drs and staff who treat you like a real person, not just the next patient in line. Can’t believe I stayed with Franciscan as long as I did!

I’ve been to Dr. Sapico twice this year, once for a regular check-​up and once this last week for sudden illness. I am absolutely terrified of physical exams. Terrified. As in, sitting in the room shaking and crying. Dr. Sapico came in, took one look and was like «Oh, you poor thing. Are you all right?» From there she continued to reassure and put me at ease, sympathizing and adding humor at just the right moments.
This last visit I came in with traveler’s sickness brought back from Mexico. Since I don’t have a PCP, I wasn’t sure where else to go. Dr. Sapico was able to diagnose and recommend some antibiotics and lab tests, all of which I was able to get done that day. Again, she was very good humored and kind, listening very well and taking my symptoms seriously.
The receptionists at the front desk were super nice, as well. My battery died in the parking lot, which I sadly told one of the receptionists when she asked how I was. As soon as I was done with my lab work and appointment, she was calling security, and within five minutes of reaching my car one of the security team was there to give me a jump.
The lab techs on the second floor were excellent as well. Best and fastest blood draw I’ve ever had, and they were lots of fun to talk to.
Franciscan has the smoothest operation and best employees of any medical facility I’ve been to or heard of. Based on the excellent service and care I’ve received from everyone in every department there, I’d recommend Franciscan Women’s Health Associates as the best in their business, hands down.

I had Dr. Holland on the first floor in the 1608 building for Franciscan women’s health Associates.
First, I would like to say my Dr. was fabulous. not only is he very nice, he is caring and I would definitely recommend him to other pregnant woman, especially if having a csection. (I had complications with previous two sections. not only did I have no problem with the one he preformed but it even looks better then my previous csection)
The receptionist are great here as well. They have all been very sweet to me and helpful (if you read my reviews on other places you would know I critique all aspects) this place doesn’t have any bad marks from me. The only issue I did have was at the beginning with an ultra sound tech. but I just told front Dr st to not put me with her again and they didn’t so that problem cleared its self up pretty quick. :)
