The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

I love being in this church, it’s full of fellowship, and blessings. I never quit coming here. Missionaries are here to share the doctrines and principles of the church. I am happy to know the truths of this church. If you have a bunch of questions about the church, ask any real members of the church on anything we’ll be happy to converse with anyone about it in person. Please don’t be negative about the church because anyone needs some edifications about it. That is all.

If you are miserably lonely and have a need for something to fill a massive void and can easily accept doctrine, this is a good place to go. Otherwise, avoid.
I was very nearly converted by two walking missionaries from this church. I had just begun college and had a lot of free time, so I talked with them a lot, attended the church a few times, and read the Book of Mormon through to Alma. In the end I did not receive any sort of affirmation from any gods, as they said I would if it were true, and ended up rejecting the Church — not just the LDS, but all of Christianity.
+1 score for the good that came into my life after the LDS church helped me to abandon my life-​destroying religious obsession.
+1 for kind people, at this church and, on a personal level, across all of Mormonism. I do feel that these folks are quite genuinely good on an individual level.
–1 because, I hate to say it, the services were massively boring and uncomfortable/​awkward and I did not feel spoken to by any gods at them.
–1 because the beliefs, as I have come to conclude, are most certainly wrong.
–1 for the unkind and unChristlike politics that seem to go along with being Mormon, from simple arch-​conservatism to the extreme militant misogyny of sects like the Short Creek polygamists.
