Residence inn

A nice updated bunch of suites. I was here for a bachelorette party over the weekend and we had 2 suites (1 two bedroom and 1 one bedroom). It had a well-​stocked kitchen, clean and modern bathrooms, comfy beds (I slept in the sofa bed and that was surprisingly nice!), and was in the center of everything. The staff were kind and accommodating. My only complaint is that breakfast is done at 10 AM on weekends. What the what! I woke up at 9:45 (a feat considering we didn’t actually go to bed until 4:30 AM) and by the time I was awake enough to be aware of anything, breakfast was done. You need to take it to 11, please!

The hotel is in a great location and newly updated with great furniture, etc. The only issue I had was that the rooms that face the front of the hotel get a lot of noise from the local bars during the summer so it was noisy, even on the top floor. The service was also great, especially the staff at the breakfast area.

I’m a loyal Marriott member and travel quite often for work, usually staying at the Residence Inn or Courtyard level. Both the Residence Inn and the Courtyard have great service, fair prices, are clean, and in a nice/​fun neighborhood. The staff is overly helpful and efficient. I would recommend staying at either.

People get this hotel confused with the courtyard by Marriott. They are connected but offer different services. We stayed in a 2bedroom at the residence inn. This place is safe (other reviews advised this was a bad neighborhood). The MOST (museum of science and tech) is 2 small blocks away, a kitty hoynes and pastabilities from Diners, drive inns and dives are directly in front of the hotel.
We didn’t have any issues. Staff was attentive and welcoming, complimentary breakfast is one of the best (main dishes were different everyday during our 4 day stay). There were breakfast sandwiches, eggs, sausages, fruits, oatmeal, breads/​bagels, and waffle station with toppings.
Pool is small but worked fine for our family. Room was spacious and clean. Housekeeping was great.
Beware …you can hear street traffic if you are a light sleeper. Didn’t really bother us.
