I’m visiting Syracuse for a month for work. I’ve been trying various pizza joints since arriving 3 weeks ago. My search for the best pizza is over. This is the best pizza in Syracuse. Delicious!

The pizza is good. One of the best pizza I have ever had. But, the worker, who is a teenager, about 5 feet 7, had a very unfriendly behavior. I believe that’s the owner’ son. Who else has the gut to do that unless he is the owner’s son?

Pizza tasted like sugar and salt mostly. Wings were way overdone and dry. Yuck. Won’t revisit.

This place never disappoints. The pizza and wings are delicious and a great deal. Large pizza, wings and 2 liter soda for $ 20! This place is always busy and for good reason. Best pizza in Syracuse!!!

I am a connoisseur of pizza. And as such I can guarantee you the most delicious and consistent pizza you will ever find is here. Short and simple. I’ve traveled all over, and no one does it better. Not even cicero: X Also, I love the atmosphere inside equally. There is no TV blasting nonsense. Just folks enjoying great pizza together.

Meatball sub is one of the best deals in town. Meatballs are really good and so is lasagna. Pizza is good, but lately sometimes the dough is tough. You can preorder several days ahead for Super Bowl Sunday, which is smart because sometimes they have to stop taking orders that night.

I’m friends with the owner of Dinosaur BBQ. In that sense, I’m a Pal-of-Dino’s. Only I’m not, I just made that up. Carl Paladino owns a Pizzeria? Well the man has enough money already so seriously, why would you come and spend any here? Well, because the pizza is so damn good, that’s why. What to get: Slice. This is my favourite pizza in Syracuse by far. Granted, I haven’t tried anywhere near as many slices as I have in the 585 or the 716, but in my experience, this one is top of the 315 Pizza Tree. In fact they’re even considering renaming it the Tree-One-Five in honour of the pizza tree that Paladino’s sits atop of. The slices are enormous and hot and wet and greasy and taste very fresh, whether you get pepperoni, sausage, plain, whatever. The owners are curt, no literally, Curt is the guy’s name. And Carl of course. No, but seriously, the owners are a little curt. Short guy. No, I’m kidding again. But yes. Service is just okay. Pizza is spectacular. Dirt cheap too. Not far from the Carousel Mall a little north of town. A bit out of the way, but come up here and try it and be blown away. Looking forward to when I am next in Syracuse so I can have another slice. But let me make it clear, I do not like Carl Paladino. I don’t like him even a little tiny bit. There. I said it.

Probably better than your average 3-star pizza restaurant in Syracuse(which is most) but does not rate a 4-star. We ordered 2 large cheese pizzas+1 topping with 50+ wings split between BBQ and mild with a total of about $ 55 after taxes. I was expecting NY style but what I got was something resembling but not quite there. We ordered a topping on one and the amount covered was pretty sparse. It was good but not the quality I was expecting to rate even a 4-Star. The wings were alright. I feel like the mild/medium/hot wings are probably pretty good(which is what most people ate at the party) but the BBQ was lacking. The BBQ was better than the ketchup crap that some place use but not quite up to real BBQ sauce. My recommendation: come here for decent NY style pizza in Syracuse.

Great pizza, I’ve been enjoying this place for years. I can remember to there owner and his son running the place back in the late 70s, and even though the owner is gone the family has carried on with the wonderful pizza and calzones and such.

This is the place. Pizza is a great NY pie. The flavor of the 3 required components combined are great. Crust has flavor and has the crisp bottom to do a proper fold. The sauce is a sweet tomato that jumps in your mouth. Then the cheese melts into the sauce with a hint of oregano in it to top off the flavor just right. Other reviews complained about the grease on the pie. Use a napkin to get it off then. When you fold, use a napkin on the palm of your hand to catch it. There may be a bit of inconsistency from any given day, but then it depends on who’s tossing the dough that day. The bricks in the oven are the same bricks that Papa Joe was using 30 years ago so that flavor bakes into the crust. If you like NY pie then this is the place. If you want California crap pizza then go someplace else. Oh, the wings rock too…

I got a slice while my dog was getting a haircut at Petco. Mushroom. One of the best slices I have had in the area. Maybe the best. Not to sweet, not too tart, not too salty, not burned, not under cooked. Just perfect. I’ll go again when im in the area.

The best of the best! This place is a staple in the Syracuse area! A genuine family owned business! It is a small hole in the wall treasure. Something that sticks out to me the most is how truly friendly and happy the staff are, busy or slow service is great! Hands down best pizza around! My favorite is the Sicilian slice but it is all great!

Some of the best pizza I have ever had! The cheese they use is yummy. They consistently have quality pizza. You never have to worry about the pizza being undercooked or overdone, always do a great job. This is a family favorite, highly recommended!

EDIT: down from 5 stars to 3 stars. Over the past month the quality of pizza has gone way down. It does not taste like the paladinos I’ve been eating for over 10 years. I’m so disappointed but whoever is cooking the pizza now is hurting the business. After 12 years as a customer I can no longer spend my hard earned money at this establishment.

Worst pizza I’ve ordered(including Pizza Hut, Dominos, and Little Caesar). We are new to the area and got pizza from them because they had a decent rating but it’s a joke. We basically got a loaf of French bread with nearly zero sauce and a few toppings. The sausage was so thin sliced you hardly knew it was there, and the pepperoni was bland. With all the choices in the area– don’t waste your money at this place. On a positive note– my dog enjoyed it… But he eats crap so you decide how valid his taste is.

I simply wanted two slices of New York(City, that is) style pizza. So, I went inside asked for two plain slices, paid my $ 3.75, and waited. One person took my order while another cut two large slices from an already prepared fresh looking pie. After a few minutes in their hot oven, two slices came out served on a paper plate. I sat down, separated the hot pieces, did the NY fold and YUM!!! Crispy, cheesy, and lightly sauced, a very nice balance was achieved. And you can have all of this in a place that has all the charm it had in 1972. It’s a great recipe that hasn’t been messed with and shouldn’t change.
