Food was horrible and service was horrible. My soda was stale. Order a ham sandwich which was supposed to come with a pickle and chips according to the menu when she brought of just the sandwich and I asked for the chips the waitress says oh were all out of chips u can buy a bag of chips from behind the counter if u want. Definitely won’t return in the futute.

Nice Diner setting. Food was ok. Everything is ala carte here so your 6 dollar omelette will end up costing about 9 bucks. Home fries ala carte also. Good service, eggs overcooked though.

JJ’S is a true diner sitting on the corner of E. Water St. and Montgomery St. In downtown Syracuse. I have stopped here a few times and each time the result is a good meal.

This place was just delightful. Ordered a breakfast sandwich, french toast and frittata. Portions were large and the food was delicious.

Got a omlete it tasted like french toast which I hate. They must not clean the grill. Our server was friendly but will never go back.

I LOVE old diners and any type of restaurants with history. Denny’s &IHOPS are overpriced and most food there is «pre-made» & heated. This JJ’s Miss Syracuse Diner was like going back in time. Nice service, nice owners who come to your table & give you some Syracuse history & they are great sports fans for ORANGE lovers. The french toast, home made hash browns.(really good chunks of potatoes) coffee & patty sausages were very tasty. Prices were average, not cheap/not expensive. Everything is ala carte, but worth the money. Very close to Erie Canal museum & other tourist areas in town. I will go here again the next time I am in Syracuse!

Got the pancake and scrambled eggs special, which didn’t taste like they were from a carton. Food was all right, not exorbitant for a diner but not an amazing deal either. Service was friendly and the joint was clean. The inside was small and cute — old fashioned diner. OK to stop if you’re visiting the Erie Canal museum and just want some quick diner fare.

«Opened Mar. 17, St. Patrick Day». This very old, basically unchanged landmark still has its only restroom just a walk across the unimproved basement. The menu offered the usual, limited diner fare. «What is your homemade soup, today» I asked. «NOSOUPFORYOU» or was it «no soup today, too warm»? «There is some Chicken Soup from yesterday in the frig» — 12oz. for $ 1.95. It had big, decent chicken chunks, a little carrot and celery, some pasta bits and little broth but very nice. Next, a BLT with a requested egg for $ 5.50, was very good on commercial Italian bread, as was a Breakfast Sandwich, $ 3.75. Chicken Riggies(got a sample size), provided al denté pasta covered with hot sauce? Also, few pepper pieces and dry, tough chicken. C’mon, let’s try to live up to this ancient staple next to old city hall!
