I love the coffee here. I love the atmosphere, but I also enjoy being able to go into an establishment like this to buy coffee after coffee and get a ton of work done. It’s relatively difficult to do that in this environment. There is a noticeable lack of truly comfortable seating and the music is incredibly loud. I like the décor. For example, I think that the burlap seat cushions are clever, but they are better to look at than to sit on. Before the transformation of the Café Kubal by the Landmark theater, I was able to get a lot done there. I was hoping that I would be able to make the new location my home base for getting work done this semester. I have no doubt that this establishment will have great success. It’s a wonderful place to simply hang out leisurely. I’ll be back for that.

The best interior design of the best coffee shops(Kubal) in Syracuse. Wonderful espresso drinks. Spacious, easy parking, good work space, convenient location near downtown across from the Niagara Mohawk building. Very well crafted almond milk cappuccinos and lattes.

My favorite coffee and tea, by far. They make the best iced chai, and always have friendly people working. I’m also a big fan of their scones!

Cool, hip spot, but omg so disorganized. Ordering a coffee means standing blankly for 10 minutes while the staff run around doing 99 things, but making coffee ain’t one. When the cashier pulled out her phone to do some simple math, and was still confused about what was going on, I was done. If you have all the time in the world and the patience of a saint, this spot’s for you.

Café Kubal is luckily a block and a half from my apartment. Honestly, the cinnamon apple scone is the best scone I’ve ever had. It is properly baked and pairs well with their coffee. Adds the perfect amount of sweet to the somewhat bitter(and properly brewed) coffee. I am a regular, and that’s not changing any time soon. Pretty affordable-especially in comparison to other local coffee houses.

This review is from my experience at the Unilocal event on 4÷11÷15. Typical of Café Kubal they have great food and great coffee. This is a great location right by the creek walk. I’m sure this will be a successful location. I like the seating arrangements particularly where you can look out the window and do some people watching.

Definitely one of my favorite coffee places in Syracuse. Conveniently close to my work. I recommend trying the pour over coffee. The Ethiopia blend is my favorite.

Awesome new Café Kubal location. Cool atmosphere and great views of the Niagra Mohawk building across the street. Excellent as a place to study or meet with friends.

I’ve heard a lot of people rave about Café Kubal, and finally made time to go thanks to a Unilocal Event! My husband and best friend are much for coffee, so of course I had to bring my mom along too. Their light roast(Tanzania?) was very strong for both of us, and I felt terrible about how much creamer I had to put in it to bring the flavor down to a level that I could tolerate. I’m told the yogurt/granola combo was delicious, but the girls ate it up before I tried it! My husband and I tried the egg bake and we differed in opinion. He really enjoyed it, but I found it unappealing. The pastries however were out of this world. 2 of us tried the maple, and the other 2 tried the raspberry so we could all get a bite of both. Wow! Light, flaky, not too sweet, and a perfect companion to a good cup of joe in the morning. Parents: just an FYI if you stop with your young child — they don’t have a changing table in either bathroom… There is just barely enough room on the bathroom counter that I could change my 1 year old. Luckily I always carry a changing pad with me, but make sure you have one!

This new Café Kubal location is very clean and is a beautiful place to grab a quick bite or drink while in Downtown Syracuse. The owner is very friendly, and the large windows and comfortable seats make for a great study location. Baristas and workers here are well trained and also very friendly.

We checked this place out during a Unilocal Event and we were not disappointed. The egg bake was fluffy and savory. The parfait yogurt, berries, and granola were all of high quality, creamy, tasty, crunchy… so good. And oh my goodness, the pastries were so deliciously flaky, fruity, buttery, cinnamony, nutty… just so so good. I will definitely come back.

Friends have raved about Café Kubal for a long time. There’s several café Kubal locations and as I live 45-minutes outside of the city, this is the only one I’ve been to and today was my first visit. Yeah I know, I’m a bit of a latecomer jumping on the Kubal fan bandwagon). :) I’m not much of a coffee drinker(say it ain’t so! –I prefer herbal teas due to a caffeine sensitivity), but I do enjoy a high-quality great one from time to time and Kubal didn’t disappoint. Per the suggestion of the friendly cashier, I had a delicious dark roast; I love the fact they do their own roasting. I also tried their granola yogurt parfait; the granola tasted very fresh and the yogurt was rich and creamy, not tart. I also tried a maple walnut pastry filled with apricot preserves. It was very good. The egg bake I tried was my least favorite; it didn’t have much flavor to me. Located in the new Creekwalk Commons, I loved the layout of the space. Sleek and clean designs, lots of room to get comfy on one of their unique coffee burlap sack couches or velvet armchair, sit at the bar, or in generous booths. Love the fact they have free wifi for those of us who work remotely and like to get out of the house to work in a public space from time to time. Learning more about the company, it is evident that they truly care about what they serve from the selection of beans and sustainable farming methods to the final beverage. They even offer nominally-priced, intimate, twice a day classes on «coffee cupping,» where you learn about coffee tasting, the farming, bean selection and evaluation at their Roastery location. That desire to share their knowledge and expertise shows a true passion for what they do. A truly enjoyable experience. I look forward to my next visit.

Perfect location, awesome coffee and excellent customer service. I had the pleasure of stopping by this new location today before I head back to Maryland tomorrow. The place is, cool, hip and has a great atmosphere. I love the décor and the simplicity of it. I got my café au lait, as always. It is perfect. I miss my Kubal fix down in DMV(DC, Maryland, Virginia) area. I would love if Kubal would come that far. Wishful thinking. I love, love it. Great job at this location!!!
