Biscotti Cafe & Pastry Shop

Warning: carb-​deprived woman enters Biscotti and goes to heaven. This Little Italy café is really an Italian-​inspired family room with an amazing pastry and dessert line-​up, healthy sandwiches on whole grains, and minions who sneak an extra gram of love into your orders.
Yes, I love it. It’s my de-​facto go-​to make me feel good eatery. I’ve met the servers parents and would fund some of their college tuition if I could. They are responsible, respectful, and courteous. Biscotti is always immaculately clean, it’s patrons respectful and the food most-​always stays stocked (except for seasonal menu items).
In the corner there is a leather couch and 3 or 4 arm chairs, a piano, and a checkers table outfitted by a window. I like to come here to eat, write, think and even hide. The patrons are mostly nearby downtown-​workers, restaurant goers who would rather a Biscotti dessert or families eating together during extended Friday night hours.
So, eat up and tip these angels well. You can always trust a place that serves good chai.

Biscotti Café and Bakery in Syracuses Downtown area has made a name specializing in Italian pastries and cakes. It also serves lunch, which I’ve never had. Their lunch menu consists mostly of sandwiches and wraps with an Italian flair.
The service is casual and customers order up front instead of being waited on. Prices are a tad expensive, but it reflects the quality. Service is so so. I’ve never had terrible service here, but sometimes the girls at the counter can seem pretty uninterested in being there or helping customers.
Dining area is nicely decorated and always clean. I’ve only had their desserts, so it’s all I can comment on. Cakes, cheesecake, different cookies, etc. Cheesecake is great. Smooth and flavorful. Great Italian Rainbow Layer cookies.
The Biscotti Café menu includes sandwiches and wraps featuring proscuitto, smoked turkey, and vegetables as well as salads and soups. It also offers a short breakfast menu with items like wraps, quiche, and breakfast sandwiches.
There’s a small parking lot in the side of the building. It can be a pain getting in and out of it sometimes cause the parking spaces are slanted and it’s on an incline, but it’s better than attempting to find on street parking in the area.
Great little bakery that we always have to stop at when we’re in the area.

Soooo this place saved my butt. A woman made me a terrible cake for my boyfriends birthday so I came here due to the reviews on Unilocal and hoped they could save the day. I told them exactly what i wanted and told them I needed it the next day. Listen! The cake was phenomenal! It was everything my boyfriend wanted and more! Everyone loved the cake. The top was a bit too much for frosting but other than that I loved it! Thanks biscottis for helping me out and saving the day!

What a wonderfully attentive and professional staff and delicious desserts! My sister’s birthday is on Thanksgiving Day and the last thing she wanted this year was a candle in a piece of pumpkin pie. She makes a career of celebrating other people’s special events and I wanted to give her something beautiful and festive. I ordered her cake online, describing her personality in the notes section. I received a call from the owner who assisted me with making design and flavor decisions to suit my sister’s personality and taste. My sister was so excited that she texted photographs of her cake to all of her friends. The flavor was «grown up» but the children enjoyed it too! I will never order from anywhere other than Biscotti’s!

Ordered my sister’s bridal shower cake from here. Ordering was easy. I ordered ½ sheet tiramisu cake for 30 people… it weighed like 50 lbs. The cake was so tall and heavy and beautiful. I could not believe how amazing and special this cake was! Perfect for the day. Usually we get a wegmans cake, which would have been the same price (or maybe more) than this cake and basic. This cake was delicious and memorable. I am ordering my cakes for special occasions from Biscotti’s from now on for sure.

We had a Gender Reveal Party today; we brought the results of our sonogram to the bakery on Wednesday and picked up the cake on Sunday Morning. The cake came out beautiful and so delicious and rich! We got married in NYC at this awesome hotel with a cake from a high end bakery made with cannoli; so we stuck with the same theme and I have to say Biscottis was even better! They added coloring to the cannoli cream in btw chocolate cake and used a design we found online. We were not disappointed!
The décor was just what we wanted– a mix of fondant and butter cream with piped lettering. Like I said the cake was super rich and delicious and the way they hid the color of the cannoli cream was just perfect. They were awesome at keeping the secret even from my MIL who went to pick up the cake and was handed the sealed envelope with the results of the sono.
Gender reveals are becoming more and more popular and Biscottis got it down! Their staff members get just as excited as you do about your event and really tailor to your needs and wants. We can’t wait for our little boy to arrive happy and healthy into this world and we are thankful that Biscottis has made our halfway point so special!

I am always shocked when local Syracusans have not been here– Biscotti is a classic pastry shop that serves great sandwiches and a great selection of gelati! My favorite sandwich here is the roast beef, which is actually a wrap, but we always ask for it on their freshly baked white bread. This sandwich is big enough for 2!
As for dessert… you really can’t go wrong. There is a Bananas Foster cake which is a great combination of flavors, and their chocolate mousse cake is to die for! And if you really want to indulge, try their apple doling with can I’ll gelato– OMG! All of the chocolate bombs are also delicious. The one thing that I don’t enjoy us their the Half-​moon cookies. They are a little on the dry side, IMO, but my kids love them, so maybe it is just me. Their prices are super reasonable, too– which is amazing considering the quality of what the serve.

While our wedding cake still tasted okay, it was not the cake that we ordered. When we fill out a paper with all of the specifics and they say they can do it but then surprise us with an entirely different cake at the wedding, that’s just unacceptable and poor customer service. Wish I could give a better review because everyone we talked with from there was so nice.

We just moved here from the Utica area where the Italian pastries from the Florentine and Caruso’s are out of this world. The cannoli cake we ordered from Biscotti’s left a lot to be desired. The cannoli filling was passable at best. I asked for a layer of strawberry filling, and ended up with a few thin slices of strawberries stuck on top of the filling. The frosting was very sugary and usually a cannoli cake has sliced almonds around the sides. They covered the sides with a ground up mixture that resembled dirt. My search for a good Italian bakery for cakes continues.

I drive an hour and a half at least twice a month to come here. I love the Cannolis and lobster tails.

Cute classic Italian sweet shop. Biscotti’s has an excellent variety of Italian cookies and sweets along with fresh baked cakes and gelato. This is something that I don’t get down south so I was very happy with my experience when I had a quick trip up north.

Biscotti’s has a great selection of pastries and desserts. I can’t speak on the service but I’ve had cannoli cake and tiramisu here before and they were both delicious. Prices are very reasonable and cakes can be made to order. If you’re looking for something sweet on the fly, a friend of mine (who used to work there) told me the best day to go is early Tuesday since they’re closed on Monday and everything early Tuesday is made fresh. Not sure how true that is but it’s worth a shot.

I don’t know what the hype is all about. I just think that this area lacks good bakeries, so this tastes good to most.
The service is nothing great. The employees are not really rude but are in no rush to help you or answer questions.
The pastries and baked goods are average, at best, some of the items are good and some I ditch because the taste is not worth the calories! If I am going to consume baked goods (which I do almost daily), they need to taste great or I don’t think they are worth eating.
I have not tried the cakes or gelato so I can not comment on those.

Amazing cakes! I ordered a half sheet chocolate mousse cake for a party and it was so delicious and huge! And it was a great value. I shopped around at local grocery stores, and this cake was the same price or cheaper. I will definitely order cakes from Biscotti’s again.

Not the best place to stop by in the morning if you’re in a hurry for coffee, etc. since there is always a long line and/​or not enough workers behind the counter. Their pastries are best served room temperature otherwise it will taste old – tough and over-​refrigerated. I would not recommend the sandwiches for the same reason. Yet, the stuff they have that is best when eaten cold, gelato, is the greatest and priced so well that it’s most gratifying to buy a big container to bring home.

One of the best Italian bakeries i have ever had and i have had a ton. The food is always amazing and their red velvet cake is to die for!!! I love eating here and i implore you all to try it!

Great Gelato and Desserts. Among the best in Syracuse. This is the definition of an italian Bakery, but they have stepped up their game with a refined twist. I haven’t tried the paninis yet, but everything I have tried is exceptional. Additionally the service is friendly and very helpful (an patient).

After I moved to the east coast for college after living in southern California all my life, I discovered the wonder that is Italian pastries. Biscotti’s is one of my absolute favorite places in Syracuse. Given, Syracuse doesn’t have much. So you may cry that I have lower standards. But I don’t. I swear this five stars is on the same standard scale as the stars I give to southern California eateries. You think I may be slightly biased because it was the first Italian dessert bakery I tried, but I also tried the renowned Veniero’s in New York City. IIII thought Biscotti’s was on par with Veniero’s.
I recently ordered a tiramisu birthday cake from here. I ordered only one day beforehand but they had it for me the next day, ready and beautiful. That cake was heaven… I got the cake that’s supposed to serve 8 – 10 people. I’m pretty sure I ate half the cake by myself (and it wasn’t my birthday). They sell cakes in single slices too, so. get the tiramisu.
Every other item I’ve bought here has been absolutely amazing. The gelatos are delicious. The cheesecake is sooo light and fluffy and amazing. Fruit tarts… omg. Every time I go here is a struggle because I want to buy it all.
It’s a nice place to hang out too. The bakery is very quaint and cute. In the area where the gelatos are, there’s a nice little area with a chess table and an old piano. Check hours before you go because they close early. And maybe take a date here. Savoring dessert is a perfect excuse to linger.

I’m surprised that a pastry shop that enjoys such a solid reputation in this city would serve things that taste, well, pre-​made and old.
Are all their desserts homemade? If the cake that I ate there tonight is homemade, they worked really hard to make it taste like it came from an old box in a wholesale dessert case.
I gave them one star, because I’m always happy to find Pellegrino as a beverage option.

Lovely Italian bakery located in Syracuse, NY. We’ve visited on trips with family several times and always enjoy.
Inside is a nice area to sit down and enjoy a sweet treat. Our recent visit had us grabbing items from their massive pastry cases to go. Italian cookies, biscotti, cannoli, cakes and pastries.
The family loaded up a box with canolli and individual slices of cakes. We enjoyed everything, the cannoli, chocolate mousse cake and chocolate cheesecake were notables. The cannoli is offered in regular (Plain filling, no fruit or nuts), chocolate chip and chocolate. The shells are light and crispy, the filling is unreal. Not at all heavy, it tastes like they’ve mixed in some whipped cream with the ricotta. Spectacular. the chocolate mouse cake was 3 layers each of moist chocolate cake and mouse, then covered in ganache– rich, but not over done. The cheese cake was not too heavy, very nice.
I can see why our Syracuse family is such a fan of Biscotti’s!
