These people are fast, work very hard and make delicious food. I think their coffee is just right — not to strong or weak. The bacon is crispy, and they let you get whatever you want on your breakfast sandwich. I will definitely be back!

I happened to be in the area yesterday to catch the train so decided to try this place out rather than going to DD(try to avoid at all cost). Don’t understand what the fuss is all about? Its your typical bagel store on long island. I asked the guy behind the counter what bagels where hot if any and he seemed to be annoyed that I asked that? I would think everyone would prefer their bagel to be just out of the oven. Anyway there was hardly any cream cheese on the bagel(literally one swipe of the cream cheese spoon). Didn’t like that all their salads(deli case) still where wrapped up, makes me wonder how fresh they are. I personally think the place is dis-organized and dirty. Don’t really want to hate on a place because everyone deserves to make a living but I’ll stick to my regular deli

Food is great! Service is pleasant but can be a little slow at times. I tend to call in my order so its ready when I get there. Always plenty of options and a place to sit :)

Really, really great bagels, food and fresh juices. To order and ring out just takes a while but very much so worth it. I go here every Sunday and look forward to breakfast! Would recommend placing an order for pick-up over the phone if you don’t want to wait around.

Not a fan. Everything bagel barely had anything on it. Veggie cream cheese was mediocre.

The bagels were not only delicious, but the cream cheese was also fantastic. They have quite a variety of spreads, but I just went with the plain and it was so much better than any chain I’ve ever been to.

Honestly this is going to be the only bagel place I frequent going forward for bagels. The bagels are by far the best around. I’m not if it’s because they are hand rolled, something Village Bagel displays everywhere, or if it’s some secret recipe but these bagels are AWESOME! They have a creative selection of cream cheeses as well as all of the typical bagel store fare. If you are looking for a great bagel, without a crazy wait, then check out Village Bagel. You will be happy you did.

Amazing egg-everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. Good iced coffee(they have hazelnut and French vanilla as well as regular). Made it just the way I liked it :)

Village Bagel! I tell everyone to eat here. It’s the best bagel-shop on Long Island and after trying the bagels at Murray’s Bagels and Leo’s Bagels, I’m almost tempted to say it’s the best bagel-store I’ve ever eaten at(solely in terms of the bagels themselves and not their fix-ins). The service is always great and the people who work there are always nice. They’re constantly cleaning the place too, so you can have confidence in the cleanliness of your food. They’ll make anything you can think of too: bacon, egg, and cheese with avocado and hash-browns on an everything bagel? Check.

Was I here on a bad day or has this place just crashed. This was my first time here and these were the worst bagels I’ve EVER had. I got a salted bagel with cream cheese, it was so undercooked the top was still mostly the color of dough. It was cooked through, but as I’ve said in other bagel reviews, this was a hamburger roll with a hole in it. I took 2 bites and it went in the trash. I also got a sesame flagel, I had higher hopes because it was at least browned, problem was the outside was soft, no crunch at all, same texture inside and out, this I would have still eaten by the other problem was the butter, very nasty strange taste, again went in the trash. If I am nearby I will check it out again just out of curiosity since so many Unilocalers love it

The bagel was pretty good, chewy and moist but the vegetable cream cheese was just okay. I’ve had better. Reasonable prices. Small place, more like a deli.

Small bagel establishments seem to deliver better quality, taste and service than the chain bagel stores. This bagel shop, in the lovely village of Syosset has delicious bagels, spreads, and drinks. They do a brisk business(a sign of a successful business). Prices are moderate, freshness and variety are way up there. Easy to park. Employees are pleasant. I patronize local small business and offer compliments where there are due. Try it!

To be honest, I was expecting very little considering that Bagel Boss and the OG, Bagel Master, are very close by and that VB is the only one doing ‘hand rolled’ bagels. I am happy to say that these bagels are legit! A solid crunchy outside and a soft chewy inside gives these bagels a nice. While I still stand by BB being the best store around, these bagels are nipping at their heels. Beyond the bagels you can order eggs, BEC’s, flavored cream cheeses, cookies, muffins and many salads. Def a great place to stop for a quick lunch while in the area! Protip: The place is tiny, so plan on taking out.
