I searched for a long time to find a great nail salon in the area and I found one! I have been a regular for years and will not go anywhere else for a gel mani or spa pedicure. They even give a great foot massage for a very reasonable price. Simply Gorgeous is clean, the staff is very professional and courteous and they are open late during the week. They are even open on Sundays! Simply Gorgeous, you are the best!

Found this place as they were open on Sundays, and they did a great gel mani for $ 30.

been going here for years as well — since before they moved to Jackson Avenue. agree with the previous posts that they always cheat you out of 5 — 10 minutes of a massage. also really really disliked that the manager asked me to tip an additional dollar for the massage I received. Tips are optional and if they cut your time I don’t think I should be expected to pay a generous tip.

I am so surprised to see all of these horrible reviews. I live very close to this salon, so I just dropped in for a gel manicure the other day when i didn’t have much time. At first, I was nervous because the women helping me seemed to be taking a really long time and because the first coat looked really streaky and uneven. However, I soon realized that they were just being very meticulous, and by the time they were done… my nails looked awesome. She also was thorough with my cuticles without hurting me at all. (For some reason, I end up bleeding a lot when people do them.) On top of that, I was given an awesome massage while they were drying in a very warm/​fast dryer in the same seat where my manicure was done.
Today, I went back for a pedicure, and I was pleasantly surprised when I learned they include a free 10 minute hot stone massage with EVERY pedicure. Again, the woman who helped me was very meticulous and thorough, and my feet look and feel awesome. (Colors are great too! They have a lot, including a lot of trendy brights, pastels, etc.) Aside from the massage during the pedicure (with and without the stone), she massaged my back, shoulders, neck, and head while my nails were drying.
They also did a great job with my eyebrows, asking me what I preferred and giving me a nice shape without going too thin.
I did notice a sign about making sure to tip on the «original price of the service»… I guess people have a tendency to tip based off of coupons or sales prices of some sort. –_​– When you tip people well at salons (or in any other tip-​relevant customer service job), usually you end up getting what you pay for… maybe since I tipped well the other day, my service was above and beyond today. Also, it is worth nothing that they were not busy tonight (though they were fairly busy when I got my manicure and usually are busy when I go in for eyebrows, which I have been doing for a few months).
I really hope that credit theft post isn’t true! As long as my account stays safe, I will be returning here frequently.

This place is absolutely awful. I’ve gone there twice and have had terrible and unsatisfying experiences both times. One guy there spent about 10 minutes on my manicure, and needless to say it was pathetic. I had nail polish on my fingers that he didn’t bother to take off. To make matters worse, the biggest complaint I have about this place is their lack of bedside manner and their blatant rudeness. I will NEVER go back here again — it has not only been a waste of time and money, but is an aggravating, rather than enjoyable experience. If I could give it less than 1 star, I would.

I wanted to like this place. It’s close to my house. The prices are good. The color selection is good. They give a nice massage for your feet. They use a disposable plastic for the pedicure sinks to keep them sanitary and clean. That’s about all that’s good about this place — hence the two stars. Unfortunately that’s about all that’s good about this place. The nail technicians are awful! I went several times, several techs and all were no good. The final time I went to get my nails done for the wedding and the guy looked like he was about 17 years old and had NO clue how to do nails. He didn’t cut my cuticles and had no idea how to even put polish on. He globbed it on so thick. It looked horrible! I went home, took it off and did it myself and it looked much better, which is frustrating considering I paid to get them done!

I am very disappointed with the female owners’ customer service. I had an hour scheduled with Stephen for a massage (½ hour foot ½ hour body). I was 5 minutes late and they called looking for me so I rescheduled due to traffic. When I went for my rescheduled appointment, the owner rudely stated that the special, which was still on the wall by the way, expired in October! There is no mention of the month on the flyer on the wall!
Are you kidding me? They would not honor that price and I asked why she didn’t tell me when I rescheduled! Instead of addressing this, she started saying I was late on that last appointment when they had to call me…5 minutes… and Stephen was waiting. So pretty much too bad because it was my fault. What!!! No matter what… they still did not honor the price.
Before this experience, I stopped getting my nails done at Simply Gorgeous because, first owner wasn’t nice or appreciative of the business, and second they weren’t very good at doing nails (I tried 3 people)…and they get frustrated easily. With so many nail salons on every block, you’d think the owner would realize that quality and customer service are of the upmost importance. Staying open until 10 PM and advertising one special is NOT the way to keep customers that you have lured in due to a sign. Their motto: The customer is always wrong!
Needless to say, I get my nails done elsewhere… Now, I just need to find someone to give a good massage:)

I’m so determined to be a regular here. I came here with a gift certificate, and the owner is a friend of my mom’s friend.
I got a mani and pedi here by a chinese guy named steven… or was it stephen? The price was 40 (including a $ 10 tip) which is pretty cheap in my opinion, and the service is ahhhmazing.
Steven/​stephen is so good at massaging (they massage your arms and legs if you get a mani and pedi, and your back/​neck when your nails are drying. I thought I was going to melt by the time he was done.
They have a large selection of colors both regular and gel, and they have massage chairs. They also do heel treatment by default, which is another super plus. Their cuticle oil smells nice too.
I kind of felt bad because Steven/​Stephen had a hard time with my nails (they were pretty messed up due to previous tip damage) and he was visibly distressed. I don’t blame him but it still made me feel uncomfortable. I can’t even complain because they came out looking awesome in the end.
