I had a fantastic experience with Robert at Peykar rugs. I just moved to the island from Manhattan and needed rugs for every room and a runner for my staircase. The selection and quality couldn’t be beat and at reasonable prices — they definitely worked with my budget without compromising the look, feel and quality. I had looked in several rug stores for a traditional rug with the right harmonizing colors needed. Most stores seemed not to have much of a selection in traditional design. Too my surprise, I had a difficult time and ended up leaving the store. Then I tried looking online; but you just don’t know the true colors and quality of the rug. My husband and I finally tried Peykar Rugs across from the old Fortunoffs. That store has been at that location for many years. We entered and greeted by a knowledgeable sales lady who took the time to inquire about our needs and explain the differences in the making & construction of the different rugs. It was very informative and helpful to us. She then proceeded to show us rugs based on our needs. We soon found a gorgeous rug that we could order in a larger size. It came with in the week. They cut the padding and rolled out the rug for inspection. It was the same true color and simply beautiful. We now have the rug home and we are thrilled with the quality and beauty of the rug.
