Great place to buy foam rubber to restuff your own sofa cushions. They were very helpful and we did it ourselves for half the price.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!
I took upholstery classes a few years back from a guy who was very old-​school in his methods (no shortcuts, no cheaping out on materials, tacks not staples, etc.). He recommended this place and I’ve been going here ever since.
If you’re a DIY upholsterer as I am, or even just looking to make a few pillows or slipcovers, this place is great — they have zipper by the yard, foam in every thickness/​firmness you can imagine, pillow forms of all sizes, all the tools of the trade needed to get an upholstery job done, and all for WAY less than you’d pay at your local upholstery supply or JoAnn’s (although to be fair, JoAnn’s doesn’t have half the stuff that this place does). Don’t like the legs on your armchair/​sofa/​ottoman? Come here and buy new ones for as little as $ 4 each!
Today, for example, I bought a dozen metal tack strips, a half pound of cardboard strip, and a HUGE box of upholstery tacks (way bigger than you can find in the hardware store) — my grand total? $ 11.24! And no I did not misplace the decimal point, those same items anywhere else would’ve cost me twice as much.
The guys who work there are always patient and helfpul, and willing to let me wander the aisles to see what else I need. The only problem is that suddenly I get all these ideas for new projects, and if I’m not careful, my shopping list could easily triple in size. Between this place and MIchael Levine’s it’s a wonder I haven’t gone broke, and that every single surface in my apartment hasn’t been upholstered.
