ITT Technical Institute

I would not recommend private colleges like ITT for anything. They are extremely over priced above public institutions and they do not explain things well to new students. Remember, this is a for profit business and they are seeking to make the best profit off of students. They will pressure you to take out loans if you do not qualify for student aid. Next thing you know you will have $ 100k in student loans after you graduate with a Bachelors degree that you will not be able to discharge and you will get stuck with. Just like Corinthians College that was recently shut down, the CFPB has filed a lawsuit with ITT and they are also under investigation. Be aware, be well informed, ask many questions and don’t let get pressured in to anything you don’t feel comfortable with. The only good thing about ITT is they will hold your hand and setup everything for you through out the whole process so you pretty much do not have to do anything other than sign papers each semester and sign for new loans.

Don’t waste your time, other than a non credited degree it will not help you get the job you want. Talk to the teachers that work here and they’ll tell you the same thing.

This school is a JOKE. I attended this school for an associates degree in computer technology and it was the biggest waste of my money and time I have ever had the misfortune to experience.
The teachers at ITT (with the exception of a select few) couldn’t care less about your education. All they care about is their paycheck at the end of the month and so does the school. As someone else said in their review, going to this school felt like attending kindergarten. The teachers do care and they do not want to help you and all you have to do is put the most miniscule amount of effort in, and you will pass.
For example, Mr. Watson is probably one of the most careless teachers here. I knew he didn’t grade anyone’s work because everyone always got an A on everything, so one day to test it out my theory, during class he has given us a paper to do, so I only wrote two paragraphs and then copied and pasted it over and over again for five pages and I turned it in. Well guess what? I got an A. Doesn’t that seem wrong to you? I am paying a large amount of money to be here, don’t you think the teachers should at least try to care?
Going to ITT was one of my biggest regrets in life. I didn’t learn anything while attending this school for over a year so I dropped out, and now I am stuck with this staggering $ 15,000 student loan bill that I have to pay off even though I got nothing from this school. So if you are looking for a college to attend, save the time, money, and frustration find somewhere else because ITT is joke.

I would not recommend this school, especially for an associates degree. The school does not challenge your education and passes you with A’s without putting full effort into your work. I felt like I was in Kindergarten at this school, as long as you give your effort you will get an A. ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY!!! Now I am stuck with this FAT LOAN BILL and working to pay off my loan outside of the field I went to this school for. The career services is effortless once you get of the phone with them about seeking any career openings for the past 4 years. Thanks a lot for the education.

i dont know why people rag on this school so much. i graduated in 2007 with my bachelor’s degree. i worked full time at a software company while going to school and b/​c of ITT i have great hands on exp. some people may say they might care more about the $ than teaching u, but that can be said to ANY school you go to. If anything thing i felt they cared more at ITT (well the teachers will help the ones who actually care to learn like anywhere else) b/​c you had more of a 1 on 1 experience with them since classes are smaller. Granted my ONLY complaint about this school is that it’s freaking expensive. But it’s well worth it! I have been with the same company for 7 ½ years now, a step away from being a data center manager, i just got my CCNA, i get hit up ALL the time for jobs that want to interview me.
If you’re going to learn, you will learn.

It seems like they care more about your money then giving a good education sometime.
Computers are a little dated and they are still running Windows XP.
