This is the perfect business for downtown Sykesville. Never any shortage of eclectic finds in this place. I’m usually in and out with a make my own 6 pack but I look forward to eventually sitting at the bar and having some wine or beer on tap and chatting with the always friendly staff. Their small plates sounds amazing too. We need more stuff like this on Main St!

Market Tavern is a charming market and tavern (hence the name). The bar has a rotating list of beers, primary local beers and wine with small eats, like sandwiches and cheese plates. Additionally, they carry bottled wine & beer and locally made goods, like Mouth Party caramels, Huckle’s hot sauce, Millstone’s cider, Kinderhook snacks and more. It’s a great place to pop into to find something special to bring to a party or to grab items for a gift basket and to also get a beer. Every time I’ve been here, the service has been top notch — great, personable staff!

Quickly becoming one of my favorite places in the Sykesville/​Eldersburg area.
The beer selection is great. With a rotating selection on tap and a cooler full of great micros they can hit my tastes every time.
The food is the hidden gem here. All of the sandwiches are amazing. The bread. The flavor. Soooo good.
The staff is super friendly and the décor is cool. Absolutely hit this place when you have a chance.

A quaint little market with lots of character. Very friendly staff. Colleen and Tyler took great care of my boyfriend and me when we visited. Great microbrewery and wine selection. Phenomenal sandwiches of generous size. I am new to the area and am excited with this gem of a find. I will definitely be back!

I absolutely love this quaint Market. Great staff. Wonderful wines and quality locally brewed beers on tap.
The actual Market features gourmet wines and foods from local businesses. Including meats, cheeses, ice cream, beer, wine and snacking items.
They make their own gourmet chocolates (although not on site). It’s fabulous!
If you make it to Sykesville you need to make it a must” place to visit.
I can’t wait to go back.

This has become our regular haunt — due to the excellent rotation of craft beer, unique wine selection and their fabulously friendly staff. Not to mention the selection of local food — cheeses, ice cream, empanadas (delish) and the owner is a chocolate maker who specializes in dark salted goodness. Don’t miss out!

Great local products sold here. I’ve done the build your own six pack a few times., while the selection is limited compared to a liquor store, the quality is good and you can’t beat the price. always seems to have a decent crowd here. A welcomed addition to sykesville

This is our favorite local place to go for a quick drink and a friendly conversation with either the staff or other locals. If you are near do yourself a favor and stop by. There are lots of yummy snacks and local foods to try. Definitely give the Trickling Springs Ice Cream a go if you have never had it!

One more reason to make a trip to Main Street Sykesville. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere, nice selection of beer and wine on tap, and tasty cheese and charcuterie to complement your beer and wine selections. Reasonably priced and generous pours. Perfect for a before or after dinner rendez-​vous, the only problem is going to be how to get a seat when more people discover this little gem. And, did I mention, you can shop as you enjoy your snacks and beverages – nice selection of local/​natural/​gourmet food items.
