Lundeen’s Discount Liquors

My husband and I got married on April 2^nd at Blumen Gardens. We went with Lundeen’s to supply all of our bar stuff. I emailed back and forth with Matt and he was so responsive and friendly. He really helped me figure out a basic amount of liquor and drinks to order for the amount of guests we were going to have for a longer reception. We went back and forth to modify a few times. Also, we had to find bartenders for our wedding and so I asked Matt if he knew of anyone. He referred me to one of his employees, Adam, who also bartended special events and even had worked events at our venue before. Adam too was very responsive and friendly. Once Matt and I worked on the list that Lundeen’s would be supplying, I showed it to Matt to get his opinion on it since he has bartended weddings and events and he helped me modify it. We decided to have only beer, wine, and two signature drinks with liquor in it. We went with Whiskey & Coke as the groom’s drink and Margarita on the rocks as my drink. Matt suggested adding a couple things to make the margaritas taste better than just a mix and tequila. Perfect! Anyways, I loved that Lundeen’s delivers. And they have a buy back program, but we didn’t need it because with the help of Matt and Adam, we planned it out perfectly where we had no liquor left, a few cases of beer left and a case of wine left. We didn’t bother trying to have them buy it back. Also, I should add that the day before the wedding, I stopped in to make our final payment and double-​check the delivery time and the order. I decided to get my soon-​to-​be husband a nice bottle of whiskey as a groom’s gift and asked the person at the counter for help. Brandon was very knowledgeable and helpful with this and my husband LOVES the whiskey he suggested. I couldn’t have been more pleased with Lundeen’s; the bartender and his friend, Anthony; and the staff member, Brandon. Thank you guys!

Jeff was amazing, did everything to search for the OLD MONK rum I had been wanting to find. I could hear him over the phone searching and searching and that in itself is TRUE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I had called American liquors prior to this and when looking for Old Monk and instead found an Old Bitch who had no customer service skills, was probably drunk off her ass because she hung up on me right away after she said no and I said thank you. For that Jeff you should get a RAISE AND RECOGNIZED. You are Great my Dear!

We moved here from Wheaton and admittedly were a little snobbish thinking there would be no way we would find the craft beers ar wines we liked and thought we would have to trek east. Boy were we mistaken.
Outside of Chicago, I have not seen the selections like they have here. Wines they have everything from box wines (why?) to higher end selections. Many local wineries are represented as well.
Craft beer wise, they would be hard to beat. Local to just about every imaginable beer can be had here. Their selections of Tequilas, my drink of choice to make an attempt to black out, is also outstanding with many I have had the pleasure to try but could not imagine affording.
Don’t get me wrong, their prices for items found in big box store is comparable or maybe sometimes slightly higher. A big advantage is the drive-​up window, however have ID ready and for some reason my passenger had to show theirs as well once.
They also have a limited selection of cigars, one of my vices, yet are pretty good and priced comparable to other stores.
They have occasional wine tastings and other events. They even had a «class» on drinking whiskey at one point. For some reason the wife said I couldn’t go.
You need something, this is the place to go. With the drive up, it can’t even get anymore convenient.

Lundeen’s has a great staff, and will help you find what you are looking for. The selection is huge and extensive.

A bigger-​than-​expected liquor store, selection is comparable to any Binny’s I’ve been to, prices were high and reasonable on here and there items. A definite excellent substitute for Binny’s as you likely won’t find a liquor store of this caliber out here in the boonies.

Being from the Schaumburg area, I am spoiled by Binny’s Liquor Depot. But when we found ourselves in Dekalb for a birthday party, we decided to make a pit stop at this liquor store instead so we had enough for our Memorial Day festivities for the rest of the weekend.
I am SO glad we did. At first, I was just going to run in and get some Bud Light Lime-​a-​ritas (try one, you’ll thank me later). But after I saw how extensive their selection was of EVERYTHING, I knew my husband needed to join me as well. WOW, this place has quite the variety of delicious bevvies, and their prices are great as well.
My husband loaded the cart down with a ton of craft brews, and he was happier than a kid in a candy store.
Anytime I am in the area, I will be stopping back by Lundeen’s to stock up on liquor that is hard to find anywhere else! I couldn’t believe how inexpensive it was, too!
Definitely go to Lundeen’s! It’s better than any other liquor emporium in the area!

Lundeen’s is my favorite liquor store in the DeKalb/​Sycamore area.
I love how there are no windows and when you walk into this well lit store it’s like walking towards the light that leads to the beginning of an epic night with friends, family or strangers.
They pretty much have everything here. I always get stuck in the back aisle which is a beer nerds wet dream…
