I came here needing a «detox» so to speak. I had been on a road trip the day prior and had been eating like junk, so I decided I would come here for lunch and eat something healthy. I got their quinoa salad, it is already pre made, they have it in the fridge there. I also got a tropical blast smoothie which included pineapple, banana, lemon honey and orange. Super DELICIOUS!!! I have only tried their smoothies and juices, but every time they do not disappoint. And you’ve got plenty of choices to pick from. My only complaint is the price. Super expensive for a 12 oz. smoothie and a salad. But that is understandable for buying all their fresh fruit, protein, etc. I will not come here regularly, but if I’m in the mood for a «healthy» lunch I would definitely come here. Yummy!

Gross. My friends and I got smoothies and they were gross. Kept having to spit out chunks of the rind. My friends just tastes like water. Threw them out at the gas station down the street :/​huge rip off.

If you want real juice or real smoothies come here. Drinks ate made fresh right in front you. I love the Hawaiian smoothie and wheat grass shots. When I don’t feel like juicing myself I’ll go here.

This place is such a refreshing change from the typical food choices of a college town. Everything is fresh and healthy. Lots of vegan options. The owner is so nice and very helpful. The food is fantastic as well! They use some locally sourced ingredients which is so amazing. I highly recommend trying them out.

This place is amazing and the owner is very friendly and extremely helpful when deciding on items to order. We stopped by here while we were at NIU for a cheer Competition. It’s the only truly healthy place to eat and grab a smoothie in town! We had the wraps and smoothies and they were amazing and truly fresh! If you are in the DeKalb area and want truly fresh and healthy options you have to visit this place! We will be back every time we are here for a competition! A great place for people with food allergies! Great Gluten free, dairy free and vegan options!

Awesome juice– extremely friendly and helpful employees. The employees are very knowledgable and helpful if you don’t know what to choose!

The guacamole wraps are the best I’ve ever had. Will come here for lunch whenever I’m in the area.

You NEED to try Grassroots Juicery & Café. This place has a great atmosphere, great juices/​smoothies/​teas, and food! The hummus wrap is OUTSTANDING; I definitely recommend it.
Whether you’re looking for gluten free, vegan, etc. or not, there is something here for you. Not to mention that all this healthy food tastes amazing! Marvin was incredibly accommodating and made me feel right at home. I will be coming here every time I’m in the area.

Not your Momma’s jamba. There are great selections of juices (from a juicer) WND smoothies. A lot healthier options, not just all fruit sugar loaded stuff — though there are a few of these if that’s what you’re craving. There is even a stripped down food menu with wraps and soup selection. I had the guacamole wrap that also included lettuce, cucumber, grapes, apple, and mango slices. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is space for team meetings. All in all a needed alternative.
Four stars instead of five because coffee/​tea selection is a bit lean.

Been here about 3 times… great tasting and good atmosphere to chill out. Today, I had the hummus wrap, rawsome juice, and Thai pumpkin soup… delicious. Hung out and did some work on wifi.

This place is amazing! Pretty much everything is vegan, gluten-​free, and dairy-​free. There’s juices, wraps, soup, pastries, cupcakes, coffee. The soups, etc. change daily; check their facebook page for that day’s offerings!
I came here with my mom, after a friend recommended it. (She knows I’m vegan and there’s pretty much NO place to go in this area for that type of thing.) I got a quinoa salad, which also had apples, cranberries, pineapples, baby spinach, and raspberry vinaigrette dressing. SO FRESH and delicious! My mom got the guacamole wrap. She is far from a healthy eater, but when she finished she said, «I have a new favorite place!» YAY! We also split a salted-​buttercream-​frosted chocolate cupcake and a cinnamon roll, and had some delicious (fair-​trade) coffee. It was so amazing that after running our errands, we stopped again so I could pick up a soup to take for dinner (Curry Carrot Orange). There were two other soup choices, so I’ll definitely be back to try them all. There’s also what seems to be an endless variety of juices and smoothies! I MAY DIE WITH JOY!

This place is awesome! It was my first time here and the man at the counter (sorry didn’t catch his name) walked me through the entire menu and made some recommendations. I got the farmers favorite. It was delicious! Very friendly service and decent prices. Definitely coming back!

As we walked in we were cheerfully greeted by Dan who talked us through his amazing new juicery! I had a wrap, soup, and tried two of their amazing raw juices! Great new, healthy addition to the community!
