Classic feel kinda place. Good root beer on tap and the burgers are really good. The ambiance is fantastic and it’s fun to place orders over the phone instead of with a waiter in person. They don’t make you wait and are really nice.

Was here visiting from Oceanside, CA(in town for the University of Oregon graduation!) Great food, great family atmosphere! Hot dogs and chicken strips were awesome! Shakes and floats live up to the A&W reputation! Service was just right!

We decided we must have lunch here after driving by it on the way to the Over the River Through the Woods byway. We ate inside so that my husband could enjoy his root beer in a frosty mug. I don’t normally like root beer but this A&W’s was so fresh and creamy, I would have ordered one if I knew how good it was going to be. Inside, you sit where you want and place your table’s order by phone at the booth you are sitting at — I’ve never eaten at a place like this — it was awesome! The A&Ws back home have always been like a modern fast food restaurant. The food was what you expect from any A&W — I had a chili hotdog and my husband had a bacon cheeseburger. We both got fries and ketchup was brought out to us with our food order. Service was quick and we were both impressed with how clean the restaurant was. I loved how each booth had a photo of someone wearing A&W shirts or posing with a A&W bear and there was a little backstory with each photo. There were also photos on the walls of A&W shops from another time. Definitely check this place out if you are nearby. The only negative is there are not a lot of options for vegetarians and there are no salads on the menu.

a little Americana, to go please! best part of traveling is the little nuggets of nostalgia you get to experience along the way.

Lets be honest — its an A&W! So you pretty much know what you’re going to get. Drive up ordering, fantastic burgers, onion rings, frosted root beer mugs, and killer shakes. This place has it all. One of my favorite additions to the menu are the cheese curds — these little fried gems are piping hot and oh so gooey! This is a great place for watching the local color. The servers are exceptionally friendly, and really hustling. TIP: don’t sit near the bathroom. It seems like everyone in there needs to use it, and you’ll spend your entire meal with people standing in front of your table.

The cheese curds make this place. There is your typical burgers but who cares. The root-beer is hands down the best anywhere. The menu is simple and straightforward. You still order from your car like a true drive-in rather than drive through. Food is always good and the service is prompt.
