I had an appointment with the eye Dr. but it was cancelled because the Dr. was ill but no one called to tell me it was cancelled so I showed up at the office anyway. Got a new appointment 2 weeks after seeing the Dr. I got a bad case of viral conjunctivitis. As a result I had to go to get an eye exam to receive medical treatment for the eye. I asked the the Dr. about the possibility of having gotten the eye infection in the office(I had heard from a third party that this office had an outbreak of the same infection) and he told me he had been out with a severe case of viral conjunctivitis but that my infection was not the same strain as his. I am not stupid. Unless you test it you do not have any idea of the strain. I asked how many of his patients got conjunctivitis after he got it he named a few family members and again reiterated that I could not have gotten the infection from his office. I did not note any use of universal precautions during my visits and they used eye drops and equipment without cleaning or replacing in front of me. This office and the employees need to get clean.

Pros: –Pam at the front desk is sweet and helpful — making sure patients are clear on their insurance coverage. –Ophthalmologist techs and Dr. Coppock are thorough/friendly and will take the time to talk to you during your routine visits. Cons: –Eye drops. Curses and bad spells to you, dilating drops. We will never be friends. –Glasses center. Guy working didn’t want to talk or help me in my hunt. I made at least three very lame jokes while shopping for glasses and he didn’t even crack a smile. Not cool. Importance of the pros outweighs the cons, so I’d recommend this eye doc practice if your eyes are ready for a check up.
