So convenient! Normally, I rent cars at Philadelphia airport when I have to do local business travel. This entails a time consuming trip to the airport, paying for parking, 2 shuttle rides each way plus switching from the departure side to the arrival side of the terminal, and extra taxes and facility fees(whatever they are). However, I recently discovered that this location has an attractive corporate rate through my company. They offer complimentary parking for your vehicle and they will even pick you up if you would rather. The staff is incredibly friendly and there is no hustle bustle — just laid back! There are a few downsides, but the convenience factor jacks up the experience to a 4 and most of them are first world problems. They have a limited selection of cars and appear to enforce the class that you rent. I am used to the National Emerald Aisle experience where you pick your own car. There is no rewards program so that can be a downside if the rate is not cheaper. The hours are limited at this location(they are open 8 – 6 during the week). There are only two people that work in the office, so there can be a wait at times. Lastly, they are used to renting to people who don’t normally rent cars, so there is a bunch more ’splaining going on here than when you rent at the airport and they actually give you an «orientation» and a walk-around for the vehicle. I would prefer to just get the keys and go. Hopefully, after I have been here a couple times, I will be able to ask them not to talk to me like a 5th grader. If you feel the need to rent a car, bypass the airport and rent close to home!
