Swarthmore Public Library

As far as local libraries go, Swarthmore has it set. Unexpectedly, this library is one of the most up to date and active ones I’ve ever experienced in a small suburb. 1. They have the most recent DVD releases. This is big. $ 1 for 3 days for the Life of Pi? Heck yeah. This is a better deal than you will find in any other company, anywhere (redbox). 2. They have many new CD releases. Nuff said. 3. The librarians are old ladies volunteering. Totally quaint, and very nice. Never hesitated to answer a question I had. 4. Their online offerings are pretty on par with that of even the Free Library of Philadelphia. They have access to magazines, newspapers, and many other online treasures. In terms of size-​to-​offering ratio, Swarthmore library is the most feature-​packed library I’ve ever seen. You go!

The library is located in the municipal building. Plenty of choices in the kids section and plenty of new titles for the adults. Overall the collection is limited by the size of the library which is small compared to other county libraries.
