Always has great sushi at a great price. I come here often and have never had an issue. Nice staff as well.

First I will start off with the service. The service here is really good when it’s not busy! And when it is, it’s decent. The food here is great. One of the best sushi places I’ve ever been. The sushi here is just so fresh and the portions are great! They are currently having a 50% off all rolls sale. This deal is a steal. California rolls(8 pcs per roll) are as low as $ 2.95! Along with their diverse selection of rolls that they offer, they also serve phở and Japanese food. The chicken phở, beef phở, and seafood phở are all delicious. This place is definitely one of my favorite spots to go.

I come here a lot bc it is great sushi at an amazing price. I’m a guy who throws down 5 – 7 rolls in one sitting so I need my cheap go-to sushi joint. That is why I have continued to ignore the comments about lousy servers and their lost alcohol license. But tonight, on a Friday, I was told when placing a to-go order that, «we are out or rice, please call back in an hour because it will take 40 minutes to make, and then we have to serve the customers in the resturant.» How does a business run out of their star product that is in over 90% of their dishes, on a Friday night. That’s like calling dominoes and they’re out of dough, I just don’t understand.

Great variety on the rolls, best bang for your buck in the area. When i can get 3 great rolls for 20 $ for my girlfriend and i you cant beat it. Anywhere else will be 60+ for the bill. We go once a week.

I like to come here with my family. It’s a great local place with decent food. We always do several orders of sushi and phở to share family style. It’s not top-notch, but tasty enough and filling. I would recommend any of the crunch rolls. My only complaint is the service. which I notice other reviewers also had issue with. We’ve come here several times and the service is consistently less than satisfactory. We would ask for napkins and the waiters would forget. We’d ask for a spoon. Chopsticks. Nothing. At some point, my husband just got up and looked for napkins himself. There were a bunch just a few steps from us. Would it have been so hard for the waiter to grab some for us at the moment we requested extra napkins? I don’t understand why it is so hard. there seemed to be enough workers. But from what I sensed, the service was kind of inefficient. It didn’t seem like waiters were assigned particular tables. They were all running around waiting on everyone.

Food is always on point. Baked baby crawfish roll and super volcano roll are my absolute favorites! Service is usually good, other times they do get busy and forget that regulars are customers too… But luckily the food is always delicious!

Been here several times. Staff are always friendly and the sushi is just unbelievably delicious! My favorites would include the Volcano and the Lenox rolls! Whenever I have a sushi craving, this place never fails to satisfy me! Plus, the prices are reasonable! Love this place!

I love phở, and I was skeptical at first but this is by far the best. Their rolls are amazing and they’re 50% off! There’s a worker their named Grace, and I got the best service! She’s so sweet! It seemed pretty busy, but she made sure she got everything for the customers. This will be my go to now!

Had to try it out. We pass it twice a day. They advertise 50% off Sushi… Why not? So the food was good. Not great, good. A fair price and good selection. Sushi and Udon were fairly priced, good and well presented. The issue here is cleanliness. There is a odd odor. Hard to describe, but not clean. The floor was clearly dirty and slick. You can pass the time buy sliding your feet under your table. I strongly suggest changing the mop water more frequently and giving the place a good scrub down! On a final note the service was excellent! We had a great server and other help checked on us regularly. Bottom line 3 for food quality, 4 for service, 1 for cleanliness. If all the other Sushi spots in Duluth close down, we’ll be back.

Craving sushi but running on a budget? Then this place is for you. 50% off sushi everyday! Let’s just start off with all the negatives here. Whenever I’m in a rush, I usually call 15 minutes ahead of time to keep me from waiting when I get there, but I still end up waiting regardless. Boo! I guess if you’re going to serve phở, at least have the right condiments that go along with it. The broth was okay. Being Vietnamese, you just know what good phở taste like and it wasn’t up to par. I almost ALWAYS order a super crunch roll $ 6, every time that I’m here. Freshly made each and every time. No complaints but what I have noticed is the majority of the sushi’s that I order usually taste the exact same on the inside. They just change up the toppings.

Can I have a box? Can I have a box? Can I please have a togo box? 10 minutes later, still no box and this guy keeps walking by me. Finally I asked someone else and received it less than 1 minute later. Smh. That was the worst part. That humungous a$$ tv on the wall was impressive. My guess is 80 inches. What’s yours? Oh, and the sushi is 50% off during lunch. Not just some of it… ALLOFIT! I could not believe it. It’s some type of ploy though because the bill was still around $ 40 for 2 of us. We had a boat load of sushi however. So much, that I needed a togo box and my server basically refused to give it to me. I think the name on the sign says something else in big lettering and«Sushi Yuka» underneath. I had to make sure we were at the right place. There seems to be a ton of variety on the menu. The menu is about a 4 – 5 page turner of a book. However, most of the sushi seemed to have the same base of taste, but a little more spice here, a little less spice there, add shrimp tail on the end and wala. Good place for lunch.

I just started a new job in the area and gave this place a try. Sat at the sushi bar each time. The first time I ate there, no problems. Service was good. The sushi was good. HOWEVER, I was there on Friday 9.18.2015 and it was a different story. The food was still very good when it came out. My problems were these. 1. My server didn’t seem to care to be there. He was young guy and was too interested in the ladies that would walk in the door. I even heard him talking to another server saying«I think I know her from school.» He didn’t even ask me if I wanted something else to drink other than water. He never came back to see if my food was good either. Plus, two other guests sat down near me at the sushi bar. Had to point out that 2 new guests sat down. He just didn’t seem to care. BADSERVICE. If this young man had been at my working establishment, I would have sent him home for the day. FOCUSFOCUSFOCUS!!! 2. When it was time to pay, it took more than 15 minutes to get my credit card back. The one server picked up my check but kept runnning back and forth trying to seat others and not paying attention to getting people’s payments back to them. NOGOOD! Especially if people are on time sensative deadlines or have to be back to work by certain time. Cash out a check when you pick it up and return it before waiting on others. I had to get what looked like the manager to find my card and bring my check back to me. My sugguestions for this place. 1. Delegate your tasks especially when it starts getting busy. Have one or two greeters/hosts/hostesses to seat people, servers making sure their guests are happy, one or two at the cash stand to run cards and give them right back, one handling take out orders and organize them. 2. If you are going to hire young servers, KEEPTHEMFOCUSEDONTHEIRJOB. It shouldn’t matter if the next guest is ugly or as beautiful. If they are in the server’s section, then fine. BUTSTAYFOCUSED and check on GUESTS frequently. Ask if they want something other than water to drink. Check to make sure the guest is enjoying themselves. Will I be back? Maybe. Until this place can stay focused, then it will make it hard to return. I am still out sushi bar shopping in the area, so if I find one that gives better food, service, and better priceing, I will go there. I’ll come back in a few weeks to see if any changes have happened.

Decent sushi Rolls AND phở all at the same place! How much better can it get?! The first time I had food from this place was take-out after my baby. Eating sushi rolls after not being able to eat it for months was the best! But I had to make sure I wasn’t just loving it because I was in withdrawal. I went on Friday for a double date dinner(plus the baby of course). Service was great! We got our phở orders in no time. I was so surprised how fast they got the 5 rolls to our table so fast after ordering them with a fully seated restaurant. I feel like most places take forever to make the rolls. The phở was satisfactory. Nothing fancy, but that is what I expect from a place that has sushi and phở both. The phở was good enough to satisfy a phở craving though. There were bean sprouts and onions. None of the usual garnishes like basil, but I was totally fine with that since I knew there were rolls to come. AND the rolls were perfect when they were served. I was so excited that I didn’t even get to snap a picture of the rolls. I ordered the georgia crunch roll and rock n roll, which were so tasty! No complaints. They were pretty too! C’mon we all know we eat half with our eyes. No one wants ugly sushi rolls. So definitely going back! Can’t wait!

Love the food, and how inexpensive it is! I have been wanting to try this place out for a while now and I am glad I did. The service was average, similar to most Asian restaurants.

Tasty and very inexpensive! Great sushi and phở served here, service is half decent but that’s their secret to keeping prices low I suppose. Will return as it’s close by to home.

I found this place since we love to get ramen across the street and decided to try it out one night. When we arrived it was not too busy so we got sat immediately. We looked that menu briefly and ordered 5 sushi rolls to share between the 2 of us. I actually didnt realize this place was 50% off sushi when I first came here so that was a nice surprise. And even better surprise is the quality for what you pay for and the selection. Our sushi was flavorful, fresh, and good sized. I was very pleased. And the sushi came out very quick! Overall, this will become a regular sushi place for us since it is so close to home and I recommend this place if you are looking for some good quality sushi that comes out very quickly and extremely good price.

Does it still count as a Sale if that’s always the price? I caught myself pondering this as I looked at the ’50% off!’ declaration on top of the sushi menu. We came here via recommendation from a friend who loves how affordable it is. I drive by this place all the time and was just thrown off by the exterior name front ‘Roll and Phở.’ Yes, those are both Asian dishes but in no way do they compliment or go together. We were very surprised to receive a Korean welcome as soon as we walked into the restaurant. I agree with the reviews regarding service. They are quick to take your order, give you your food and get the check. Everything else in between such as refills or any other requests will require you waving down a server. Menu consisted of all types of sushi rolls and other Japanese staples. They also had a small selection of Phở that I found pretty funny since it looked like it was added in there like an after thought. Prices as previously mentioned are super affordable, around $ 6 – 7 for most specialty rolls. My friends got a couple of the specialty rolls and I opted for the Chirashi lunch special that came with miso soup and salad. The ginger dressing here is really good and the miso soup was super tasty. My Chirashi bowl was good, although lacking in the veggies department. It came with nice, thick slices of sashimi and rice was seasoned with the seaweed/sesame seeds/addictive crack seasoning concoction you find at most Korean stores. The quality of fish was impressive. My friends all commented on how thinly sliced the fish was on the sushi rolls, which made sense given the price. They thought it was good but not blown away. The tuna tartar we got was actually really good but just a tad sweeter than I expected. Loved the thick cubes of avocado and how creamy the dish was. Overall, we all agreed we’d come back for the price.

Sushi Yu-ka is a nonexpensive option for the basic sushi lovers out there. I am a sushi lover, so I have tried many many different sushi restaurant out there and Yu-ka would be an aokay at best. The service was horrible(as so many other Unilocalers have stated below so I was mentally prepared), as expected. The gents and I walked in, was seated promptly and like 5 minutes later our order was taken. The sushi rolls was delivered to our table in a timely manner, so no complaint there. I ordered the following sushi rolls: –Georgia crunch roll –Volcano roll –Samurai roll All of them was mediocre. The rice was slightly old and the rolls was relying heavily on the sauces to make it taste normal. Like I say, the foods is a okay and very basic. And since all the rolls above was 50% off, of course the slices of salmon on top of the samurai roll was very very thinly sliced. You can probably taste the slightliest hint of salmon. But keep in mind, you get what you pay for. So anyways, as me and the mister was eating off the sushi plate, we keep waiting for our waitress to stop by and ask us if we need anything else, and at this point, I was thinking to myself, no wonder this place got so many complaints on service. We were already more than half way done with the sushi rolls and we still don’t have any water to drink or any small plates to put the sushi on. At this point we were eating the sushi off the plates they were put on. But like I said, I was mentally prepared for this so I wasn’t even mad. Lol so when the waitress did finally come around, I asked for water and that was when it drawn on her that we didn’t have any water. Poor girl. She was like oh! But no apology, as expected. Anyways, so we finished our sushi and pay and tip and left. And that was it. Would I come back? I would probably come back if I was in the area and is in the mood for some very very affordable sushi. I mean, for three rolls of sushi and I only paid 20 $(not including tip)? It’s a bargain! It’s bigger portion and better than sushi from the mall so its doable. But as a fair warning… dont be walking in this restaurant expecting amazing sushi! :) So give this place a try… if you are a basic sushi lover! :)
