I originally bought a Groupon for(2) micro derms. My first visit was fantastic. The tech was incredibly nice and really took the time to talk to me about my skin. When I returned for second treatment, she was no longer working there. The second tech was OK, but I knew that there were others and I could choose someone different in the future. After using my(2) Groupon sessions, Skyn had a deal for(4) micro derms. I bought the deal and made my next appointment. The tech was awful. She really didn’t talk to me about my skin or listen to my concerns. I also have been doing micro derm for years and requested she turn the machine up to be stronger… she would not. She also missed large parts of my face that I had to ask her to re-so. Since I had already bought the(4) session deal, I went ahead and made another appointment with a 4th tech. She was kind, but really didn’t talk to me about my skin at any point. It was as if her sessions were all the same and cookie cutter. I was very disappointed. The cleanser, masks and hydration should all be customized to fit each clients needs. Not all skin is the same. After my 4th treatment, I requested that a director(what they call store mangers) please call me to discuss my sessions, concerns and also talk about the expiration date of the 4-pack deal… which was never brought up to me when I was purchasing. I usually go once every quarter, but the deal was only good for a few months. If they had told me this I would have not purchased so many sessions knowing I wouldn’t use them in time. I left(4) messages, not including the one that I left after my last session while I was in the store. No call back to date. This was over a(2) week time span. Plenty of time to call me back. I do everything I can to use small businesses when possible. And I also expect to pay premium prices some times. However, I don’t tolerate poor customer service. My request was not unreasonable. I was just requesting a call back. UPDATE: I am updating my review after the response from Skyn. I think the response speaks for itself on how this business is run. The response was clearly not from a business savy employee that would do anything to keep Skyn thriving and want repeat customers to come back. A few quick notes: –There were never any ‘threats’ made to anyone. This kind of verbiage is very harsh and unnecessary as I would never raise my voice or speak unkindly to anyone. I also know that the woman answering the phone would not be the person making the ultimate decision on my request. So ‘threatening’ her would be useless. –I didn’t ever complain or voice my concerns about my past experiences because I know it takes time to find a tech that is the right fit for each client. Skyn can see that I haven’t used the same person twice. I was giving each woman a chance and if it wasn’t a good fit, then I just request a new tech next time. In my original post, I did mention that I had intended to speak with the director about my concerns. The way I do that is to see if the director had a suggestion for a more experienced tech that I may be happier with. I’m trying to make a good connection with a tech, not diminish the hard work each tech had put in each session. However, with no resolution, this was my full review of my experience with Skyn. –And no ma’am, the director did not call me twice, nor left me a voice mail to call him/her back. I appreciate that Skyn would have worked with me on the extension, but without having a conversation with management, I would not have known that. It was never about getting ‘my way’, it was always about what I could do in the future to avoid loosing sessions that I didn’t use in the set amount of time. I’m sorry that we could not come to a resolution.

I was initially interested in the non-surgical lift with undereye fillers. At my consult, the dr gave me a quote for fillers and the non-surgical facelift but was unsure of how many syringes of filler I’d need. When I got the appt reminder-I told the receptionist that I’d only be getting the filler this appt. and I’d come back for the non-surgical facelift. On the day of my appt. I informed the doctor of my areas of concern and what I wanted to target(undereye bags and low eyebrows which makes me look tired). He recommended 1 syringe of Juvederm and botox for the browlift. I routinely get Botox and Juvederm so I was alarmed when I was told I needed 64UNITS of Botox. I’m in my early 30’s, and don’t have crows feet or forehead wrinkles. The total cost came up to nearly $ 900. I was told to wait three weeks for results. I’ve got facial treatments in the past but this was my first time being told to wait three weeks for results. After I paid, I WASTOLDBYTHERECEPTIONISTTHATTHEOWNERSAID I HADTOPAYFORTHESERVICES I WASQUOTEDDURINGTHECONSULTATION-SERVICES I NEVERRECEIVED! I informed her that I didn’t receive the services and the doctor did not know how many syringes were needed. After going back & forth(and paying almost $ 900 for botox and 1 syringe of Juvederm), they reluctantly let me go. THISWASTHEMOSTEXPENSIVESERVICE I’D EVERRECEIVED but I EAGERLYANTICIPATEDSEEINGRESULTS. 3 weeks pass, no difference… no results… NONE! After the 4th week, I called and spoke to the office manager who said she’d have the owner contact me. After a week without a response, I called back. I called 2x a week and after 5 wks of calling, I got a call from the owner and was told they’d been having phone problems, that’s why I didn’t get a call back. I informed her of all the money I’d spent with NORESULTS. Normally I’d suck it up and not go back, but PAYINGNEARLY $ 900IS A MORTGAGEPAYMENT! She stated that the doctor that did my botox was out of the country but she’d see about getting me in to see him when he returned(which was in 4 weeks). I politely said ok. I got a call the next week from the Office Manager stating that the Nurse Practitioner could see me at the Suwannee location. I was so relieved after wks of getting the run around. After arriving-(45 mins away), I told the NP of my concern(the same thing I’d told the doctor at my initial visit), she took pictures of the corners of my eyes and forehead. I TOLDHERTHAT64UNITSOFBOTOXWAS A LOT-ESPECIALLYTOSEENORESULT. She recommended MOREUNITS(at $ 12/unit) to get the brow lift & said the botox I’d got fixed the forehead wrinkles and crows feet. PROBLEMIS-INEVERHADCROWSFEETORFOREHEADWRINKLESNORDID I SAYTHATWASANAREAOFCONCERN. After telling the NP-she«had to speak to the owner.» She came back to tell me the owner said«that’s all they can do-they never agreed to do anything more.». Now I not only wasted $ 887, but I also wasted gas and time to drive 45 mins away. I asked NP if I could speak to the owner myself. ASUSUAL-IWASTOLDSHE’D HAVETOCALLMELATER. To say I’m devastated and bewildered is ANUNDERSTATEMENT! I asked if anyone else could speak to me – she said she’d get office manager but that the office manager would tell me the same thing. When the office manager came in, she informed me that«I got what I paid for… that its a science and NOTHINGISGUARANTEED.» I politely told her that I’d been getting this done for years and never paid so much & never have I not had any results. The response? I was told to leave. But hey-they do have a nice brochure, website and office. RED FLAG-overcharging customers, no protocol for dealing with customer service issues, no return calls if you have a concern, office is always nearly empty except for staff, owner never in but has no back up person to deal with issues that arise, trying to charge for«recommended services» that were never received, owner & office manager is rude, arrogant and unprofessional… HERE’S A COMPARISON – THEIRAPPEARANCECOMPAREDTOACTUALSERVICEISLIKECOMPARINGGUCCITOGOODWILL.

So I paid the $ 102 for the Groupon. Got up charged. I went back and only gave me 16 units after I paid for 21. First time did not take? So basically, got screwed bc they only did the frown line and not the whole forehead. I agreed bc I was afraid of having too much injected. I was told by the nurse she has had 51 units??? Oh, and they did a before picture, but not an after. 51 units really?

So, I am updating my previous review of my first experience at Skyn. I was contacted by Skyn after my review and invited to return and have a re-do of my BOTOX by the nurse. I can tell you right off the bat it was a way better experience the moment I was greeted by the nurse who was very friendly and spent a few minutes discussing my needs and assured me that I would be happy with my results. I left a very satisfied customer & can already feel & see the results!

Overpriced and Under-whelmed. Although I might add that Meridith is good at what she does, this business is not customer service centric. It could be the reason why the parking lot is always empty. Thier online booking system is not user friendly nor is it accurate due to the up to 3 week window for an appointment. If you simply call and speak to the receptionist(who also has an upleasant attitude and raspy voice) you could get an appointment within a reasonable amount of time. The Skyn clinic seems to be gaining most of its business through the living social network and groupon. Aside from those specials I would not utilize thier services as they are overpriced compared to other business with similar services. However, if you like to pay for terrible customer service and attitude this is your place!!! I will not return and my suggestion is that you dont either.

Had my eyelashes done by Meredith 2 weeks ago and she did such an awesome job! I got the Russian mink lashes, they look like they are my own lashes and feel really light. I recommended this place to a few friends and can’t wait to go back in again for my fill ins. This place is clean, Meredith was very knowledgable about everything she does. Go here, you will be very happy with the results :)
