Got my wedding tuxedo done at Carlo’s; flat-out awesome. Knew exactly what I was looking for, finished it in less than a week, and altered it for ½ the price of a couple of other places. Great eye. He’s apparently been in the area since 1975 as per . Wished he would update his website though! Will not go anywhere else as long as I’m in the area.

Easily the greatest tailor I’ve been too. Three suits and four shirts perfectly fitted and delivered! With the experience he has, European tailor for 40 years, the man knows clothing. I found my tailor!

This clown altered a bunch of suits, shirts, pants, etc. for me and did terrible work. He didn’t alter the jackets like I asked and grumbled about finishing the job. He even altered one of my shirts so poorly that the buttons were stretched across the front while the back was baggy, and the forearms were skin tight. I lost more $ in ruined clothing than what I spent(which was overpriced) on the alterations.

Color me impressed. Shirts and suits are a problem for me, in that I have a large neck and chest, but do not carry the 300 pounds that most clothing manufacturers seem to think a man with my measurements should have. I picked up some shirts last week that needed some significant alterations to make them fit in the torso and midsection and decided to give Carlo a try. Wow. I finally found a true master tailor in the suburbs and am thrilled! The shirts required some major reworking to get them to fit properly, and Carlo came through. When I picked them up, he made a point to walk me through each adjustment he made and how the adjustment affected the fit. Listening to him talk with such passion impressed me, as it is rare to find someone who takes such pride and enjoyment in his craft. The shirts fit like a glove and the work is of visible quality. I’m in the market for a new suit or two, and Carlo was happy to answer questions I had about fabrics, styles, and sizing. When you visit him, know that he loves to talk about his trade. He started as an apprentice in Portugal when he was 13, and moved to the States 20 or so years back. This man easily has 40 years of experience, and it shows in his knowledge and ability. He also does bespoke clothing. The price he quoted me for shirts was very reasonable, but I did not ask about pricing for suits. Alterations are a touch higher than I’m used to($ 25 per shirt), but I feel it is a great value for the quality. In all, a VERY good experience. I recommend highly, if only for the old world feel and quality of a true master tailor.
