Chanteles Loving Touch Memory Care

If I was old and had dementia, I would definitely want to be here. This place is homey, well-​appointed, kinda posh actually.
Its a memory care, assisted living facility, that caters to seniors who have dementia. The seniors are still pretty mobile and don’t require the intense care of a nursing home. But the facility is locked down so they can’t get out.
Meals are home-​cooked, staff was friendly and seemed knowledgeable and easy going. Really excellent care.
My great aunt put my great-​grandmother in here. We went to visit her and her clothes were clean and fresh. She didn’t smell at all. That might seem like a silly observation, but I’m a nurse, and I know how hard it is to keep old people from smelling old. I had no problem snuggling up to my grandma and giving her a big kiss on the cheek.
Rooms are small, but the residents are encouraged to be out and about anyhow. There is a huge flat screen and piano in the living area. They dine together family style in a large dining room with a big sunny window.
You probably won’t feel as bad putting your loved one here if you have to. And you’ll likely enjoy visiting them!
