They do such a good job here for being a medium to small community. Great selections and everyone is always very helpful and friendly. During the summer their passport to reading program is great. Lots of activities and ideas to beat the summer boredom blues. Clowns, magic shows, robot building, lego stations, you name it. Great job!

Nestled in the Milwaukee Metro Area, this Sussex library features an impressive collection of DVDs, both new releases and classics. I’m talking full box sets of Gilmore Girls, Friends, The Big C as well as new releases such as Black Swan. I can finally stop searching Google for free Redbox promo codes. Goodbye Redbox, hello always free library DVDs.
Putting DVDs and other media «oh hold» is extremely easy. For example, this holiday season I wanted to watch Home Alone. I called the library and asked if the DVD was available. A reference assistant did a catalog search, found the DVD and also confirmed it with a physical search. Then she put the DVD on hold for me on a communal «hold» shelf near the library’s entrance. Later that evening, I stopped by, found the DVD sorted on the shelf (in alphabetical order by last name) and checked out immediately. I was in and out within 2 minutes.
Overall I’m impressed with the friendly service and easy access to materials. This week (December 7 –9^th, 2011) they are closed to reorganize their library system to make finding materials easier. I’m excited to see how it turns out!
