Went there when on vacation to pickup a kayak paddle
Because the place right near lake Wallenpaupack
Didn’t stock jack!
It was a bit of a drive from where I was but am so glad I went!
If your looking for glitzy and flashy displays
This isn’t the place for you, but if your looking
To go to a shop, deal with the owner who is an avid
Paddler himself then you Have to check this place Out!
Neal knows his stuff and had a great selection
Of everything I was looking for. I called and he pulled
Out a bunch of paddles for me to check out.
I went in looking for a 230 length paddle and he
Must have had 10 or more to choose from aluminum, fiberglass
Carbon fiber, Kevlar and on and on.
(Unlike the place right near lake who had only One in my size and had to call his other shop Who also didn’t have anything)
He was very friendly, helpful and patient in helping
Me select just the right one.
I got there late and kept him open later than I should with my slow decision making but he wasn’t locking the door rushing me out which was great.
He made no attempt
At up selling, just let me go through all the available
Options and different models he had to choose from.
I finally decided on a paddle and also grabbed a seat cushion while I was
There. The prices were great, service with a smile
What more could you ask.
He also has a great selection of skiing equipment and does repairs etc if that’s your thing.
I can only say I wish all businesses were like this.

My husband and I were on our way to High Point to XC ski and wanted to buy skis and not rent. Hans, who runs the XC center, recommended we stop at Neal’s. Neal is extremely welcoming and nice, and he knows what he is doing when it comes to XC skis, kayak’s and canoes! He gave us a great deal on skis. The store is a bit crammed with equipment and you can’t really walk around and «browse,» but that is part of the charm. Check out the reviews on Google and Yahoo. People really like this place!

Sold me defective ski equipment. He hung up the phone twice when I called to get a replacement. The store is a dump. The worst mess of a store I have ever seen.
