Why when I call and order a Stromboli can’t I just get one made for me? It takes 3 minutes. I don’t want the garbage that’s been sitting on the counter all day. I asked for a pepperoni only Stromboli. Got a loaded Stromboli(I guess they thought because pepperoni was sticking out it was only pepperoni) that is clearly reheated and had been sitting out all day. It was so raw and doughy on the inside and the peppers were so gross and brown — again because this has been sitting out all day. Nasty. Is that a «traditional Italian» tradition? To let food sit out all day and serve it to a customer? Hmm…

The sauce that the meatballs came in was PHENOMINAL. The meatballs were three star; sauce 5 star($ 4.50). The lunch portion chicken francese with a side of penne was some of the best I’ve ever had HOWEVER the chicken portion was WAY too small. For $ 7 it should have been bigger or two slices. The Italian hero was just ok… nothing special($ 8.5). The lettuce in the side salads was limp and some brown. Not fresh. The calzone with ham($ 6.95) and cheese with sauce was very good but pretty much your basic calzone. The lunch size portion of penne with marinara sauce($ 7) was excellent. We had left overs for the week. Sauce tasted even better as the days went on. Total bill was $ 38 and change. THESAUCEISTHEBESTHERE.

Frank’s is our«go-to» place for pizza and subs. But, what makes Frank’s really standout are their specialty pizzas and their entrees. The chicken marsala pie can feed a family of four, and the marsala sauce is as good as you would find on an entrée. Their dinners are great, you would pay 2x the price in a restaurant and still not have the same quality. Try their linguine in white clam sauce, as good a dish as I’ve had anywhere at any price.

Who doesn’t like Franks? Best variety of specialty slices in Sussex County. Their calzones & strombolli are delicious too, but where they excel is catering. I had them cater my wife’s 40th surprise party & they packed the trays to the brim & the price was better than any of the other local restaurants in the area. Always a safe bet when you’re unsure what to eat, because you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. One suggestion would be to change the receipe to your garlic knots. If Franks is a franchise restaurant, why are the garlic knots at Franks in Rockaway SO much better than in Wantage? You gotta ask or steal their receipe… trust me.

Frank’s Pizza is great tasting pizza, no doubt. However, after what I witnessed today, I’ll have to find another place for our go-to pizza cravings. My husband called the order in and the young man that answered the phone, had a «thug-ish» tone, using«man» and«bro» while talking to him. I understand a small town mentality, but this is ridiculous. I arrived at the shop 15 mins after my husband called. I was told it would be about 10 minutes. I payed for my pizza and had a seat and watched the employees work. The young man that took my payment, proceeded to make garlic knots(tie the dough by hand) I noticed another employee making the exact pizza that we ordered.(They didn’t make the pizza until I came into the restaurant.) I didn’t realize this until I saw them take the pizzas out of the oven and put them in the box to hand to me. Back to my time waiting for my pizza to cook, I witnessed the young man making garlic knots take 6 people’s orders and forms of payment(cash and credit), then proceed to make garlic knots and press dough into pans, by hand, without washing his hands. Also, these forms of payment, and receipts were handed over a freshly made pizza, only half covered by a glass counter top. I’m no clean freak, but I’d rather not have dirty dollar bills shaken out over my pizza. The waitress, proceeded to walk through the prep area(also where pre-cooked pizzas, ready to be sold by the slice) while stuffing food into her mouth, then when finished chewing, delivered salads to customers. Again, without washing her hands. The icing on the cake was when the young man twirled up a piece of dough and tried to whip the waitress’ backside with it, then continued to press it into a pizza dish and cover with plastic wrap. I have loved Frank’s for the past 20 years, but this is unacceptable. I was there for 10 minutes and what I saw, I wanted to never set foot in there again.

Frank’s is my go-to place for tasty, classic pizza — it’s the bar by which I measure other pizza(is it as good as Frank’s?). A really great traditional pizza pie(inexpensive, too!) you can take out or eat in. For over 20 years, I have never actually eaten a meal there other than pizza, because the pizza is so good you wouldn’t want anything else. If you eat in, I’ve always had good service, but it’s a pretty basic, no-frills establishment.

Every town needs a place like Frank’s. Independently owned and operated for twenty-five years, their offerings range from pizza by-the-slice to classic Italian dishes. I recommend the broccoli pizza. The strip-mall exterior leaves a little to be desired, but the interior has all of the character of their would-be exterior. If you go, you’ll know what I mean.

Frank’s is a good, reliable slice and pie place. Their parm heroes are well done without being too bready or too cheesy. Great sauce. Table service and a specials board that I should try out. Not much traffic in this sad strip mall, but Frank’s has a loyal local following that is hopefully enough to keep em going because there’s not much else right around here worth stopping in for a slice.

This place never fails, esp when you want it fast. I like«customizing» my pies, but my usual here is bacon, onion, and pepperoni. SOAMAZING. Its exactly what you want out of a pizza. I usually order and pick up so Idk about the waiter service and stuff…

One of my personal favorite pizza joints in the Sussex County area. Crispy crust, a tasty sauce and just the right balance with the cheese, a slight hint of garlic that I love. Unfortunately, I’m a plain pizza gal so I can’t comment on the entrees. My service has always been good, and the pizza is cheap, no more than it is to get a pizza at any other place out here.
