The restaurant is uncomfortably warm, the tables and salt and pepper shakers are sticky, and we waited over 40 minutes to get our food. We waited more than 25 minutes to get a milk for our daughter.

Picked up a take out order and everyone ordered subs except myself. I ordered chicken parm but asked for grilled instead of battered and fried and was told they could do that. Still came fried and seemed just like a frozen premade piece anyways. The sauce was bland and angel hair overcooked and quite mushy. Also had popcorn shrimp and last time I checked, tails aren’t supposed still be on so you are able to eat the entire shrimp. Disappointed with my order. I was in a while ago and had the lobster ravioli and it tasted like frozen ravioli but an awful taste which was very fishy. I didn’t hear any complaints about the subs so maybe the moral of this review is to stick with the subs.

Went and took the ferry to go to the Surrey House for lunch. Although their website says they are open on Tuesday the winter hours are closed on Tuesdays. Anna’s was right around the corner. I am so glad we stopped! Food was great. Had the fried zucchini and eggplant parm sandwich. Very tasty. So glad the other restaurant was closed. Would come here as a first choice next time I’m on this side! Service is 5 star!

Excellent place for a Meal with family or friends(or even just you!). Good selection of food, good prices, very nice atmosphere. The service is good, I’ve never had any issues worth nothing here. Best restaurant in Surry.
