Great place for great food and a sports bar atmosphere. Service was outstanding as we’re the portions. Private televisions in each booth! Get there early on game night because the locals eat there.

Every seat has a TV and they are everywhere. The staff is more than willing to make sure you can see the game you want. We made a reservation for a particular table for the Sunday football games and it was no problem. Service is excellent even when busy. Food was very good. Fried mushrooms are the bomb… a must eat. The Dagwood hamburger kept my hungry husband full the whole day, huge! Reasonable prices, outdoor covered seating with TVs. Football fans, this is your go to spot.

Just ehh. Coming from New Jersey where our delis are pretty special. I had the Reuben but there wasn’t much flavor to it the sauerkraut was very plain. I don’t recommend my family of 8 went there and not one person enjoyed.

Our new favorite place! Great food, good beer, and cool indoor atmosphere. Surprised we lived here over a year and it’s our first visit. Had the cheesesteak (and we were from Philadelphia originally) — really good. Enjoyed the potato salad, pretzels, and my son enjoyed the wings.

Love this place. Great spot to go catch a game or race. They have booths with personal TVs and TVs all around the place. Usally have some food or drink specials going on. Great food! Love the french dip.

First time visitors. I loved the breaded mushrooms (appetizer) and my son thoroughly enjoyed the chicken wings. Prices very reasonable and service was very good. Our waitress was very attentive and checked on us often. The TV at our table was a plus so we could watch the Angels vs Rangers while most were watching different football games on the countless big TVs throughout the restaurant. One and only drawback is the noise level but hey, it’s a sports bar, right?

Everything here is great. We’ve been coming here for years and I haven’t eaten one thing I didn’t love. Drinks are great, service is alright, but it’s always busy and a good time and the food is worth coming back for.

After a week of seafood, steaks, etc., we were looking for something different. After reading Unilocal reviews and looking over the menu online, we decided to try Dagwood’s. We are SO glad we did! Had chicken-​potato-​dumpling soup which was really delicious! I had the Bumstead club, which was a typical club with lots of meat. My husband had the Italian sandwich and just kept saying yum, yum the whole time!
It’s a casual sports bar so if you are looking for cloth napkins and 2 forks, keep moving, friends.
A great find! We WILL be back!

Went here on vacation. Had the prime rib dip sandwich and my girlfriend had the chicken kickin. Well she was kicking herself once she tried mine. It was a phenomenal French dip sandwich. The roast beef was cooked perfectly and the bun was toasted with the provolone on top melted to perfection. The au jus was flavorful and great for dipping. She liked it so much she forced me to bring her back a second time just so she could get the French dip. I didn’t object lol.

Lynn Swann Dipper is my absolute favorite sandwich on the menu! It is served with a side of dill mayo that is so good! The fried mushrooms are the best around, you can tell they are made in house. I got jalapeño poppers for the first time today… I wasn’t impressed, they were $ 6 for 6 of them. Definitely frozen out of a box!

Went for first time today, French dip and Lynn Swann dipper were fantastic. Ordered a the major leaguer cocktail, best I’ve ever had. The fries are worth the extra price. Delicious place to eat. Definitely going back.

Was surprised by this place. It’s dark and a bit outdated, but wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt due to all of the reviews.
Our server seated us but after requesting to be moved, she immediately obliged. After that, she took our drink orders quickly and answered any questions we had.
We all went with signature sandwiches and let me tell you, they are real good. Not only are they sized for 2, but the quality is top notch… plus they were cheap, especially compared to Fairfield County prices. Definitely recommended.
We did have a few apps that we weren’t too fond of: the tater tot nachos and fries with gravy (forgot the name). They weren’t that good and would not recommend ordering.
Don’t forget they had a bunch of games for those that can’t sit still (Golden Tee, Pool Table, etc)
Overall, for the money I’d definitely go back here.

Came here the first day on vacation. The atmosphere was exactly what a bar and grill should be. Sat outside in one of the gliders and it was perfect. Nice breeze and sunny. The food was very good. The fries were very good with this light breading of sorts. Got the Shrimp Philly and it was great! Would order it again for sure. The shrimp was spiced well and then the creamy cheese sauce was just great. The roll was a perfect texture to hold up to the sauce.

I used to live in Myrtle years ago and even when I go back for a visit I definitely don’t mind a stop to Dagwoods. There isn’t much in the way of non-​touristy places to eat but Dagwoods fits the bill. Although it’s bar food, it’s good bar good. Most any of the sandwiches are delicious with my favorites being the meatball and the Philly.
Good place for watching sports as there are TV’s everywhere including at the tables so you can watch whatever game you want. Great outdoor patio with big tables too. Nothing particularly special for food but its good and reliable.
