On Shore Surf Shop

Great surf lesson by George and the gang. So encouraging and friendly. I just can’t say enough good things about this place. Reasonably priced. Nice to meet someone who does what he loves and is living out his passion.

Had a great surf lesson with Neal from this surf shop. Very friendly staff. Got in got out and had a great time with the family. I know previous reviews state that it’s a surfers shop for surfers but they made my family’s first time a blast.

Least expensive stand up paddle board rentals in the area — but you get what you pay for. Delivery was 1 ½ hours late and the van driver dented my car with one of the boards. Buzz Kill!

Five stars for customer service and pricing. Mistakingly made the decision to head down to Surf City on the weekend, meeting unexpected traffic…30 minutes to go 2 miles traffic. If i were in San Diego or pulling into Haleiwa it’s understandable… but Surf City? North Carolina? I was near insanity, but too close to the shop to turn around. With the infuriating anger building I decided they had one chance to get my business. And it was slim.
And what happened? Great, comfortable, friendly customer service. No pressure sales. Two days later and I’m back ordering a board from them.
It’s a nice little shop with pretty much everything you would need. Be sure to check out the consignment section… saw a cosmetically beat but great condition Hawaii Pro Designs longboard sitting in the back, in addition to a variety of short boards in varying conditions with varying prices.
George is awesome. Send him your business. I’ve stopped into most other «shops» in the area and been brushed off, leaving me feeling like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman (minus the prostitution). Lesson to other shops in the area… don’t judge a book by its cover — you just missed out on $ 2k in sales this time around (not to mention future business), as I’ll never go back to your establishments.

This is a Surf Shop run by a Surfer for Surfers! The Owner has managed to stick with it while others have bailed. Great selection of boards, Skateboards, clothes to make the most landlocked Howie happy. He is a Master Shaper at that, Have Him make You one and you will be a better Surfer belive Me. On the Causeway inside Eastcoast Sports.

Rented a surf board for a couple of days. Had a little trouble returning it because the shop was only open sporadically and never seemed to actually answer the phone.
Excellent information on the surf forecast on the answering machine, posted EARLY (like 6:30 am).
Much better in stock merch than the other shop i visited on the island.
