Village Bar & Grill

The food was just bad. Stale French Dip bun, gray looking beef on it. My kids ordered burgers both were of very poor frozen beef quality. My son’s chocolate milkshake was also aweful. Fake shake with no ice cream in it. They need to get a chef or a manager who knows food. We will be taking our business anywhere else while in Sunriver. Sunriver Brewing’s restaurant is a 5 star as is Goody’s. Get your food at Sunriver Brewing and your ice cream at Goody’s. Don’t put yourself through any experience at the Village Grill.

DAMN!!! That basket of fries was so amazing!!! If I could, I would take all of the and lay them on my bed and rub them all over my sweaty, ranch body.
GET THESE FRIES!!! You will have a fry-​attack and lose your fry-​ginity.

We love coming here for Happy Hour. The quality of the food is great for pub faire. We normally have good service. Today was an exception. Our waiter in the bar was inattentive and downright rude. Really put a damper on our Fathers Day meal. I don’t think we will be back anytime soon.

Possibly worst food ever eaten. Nearly 50 minutes for a seared Tuna that was wrong, broccoli that wasn’t cooked. Spinach dip that was awful. Sold out of chocolate chip cookie dessert. Unless you just arrived from a famine country and worse than desperate don’t even think of eating here

Early dinner last night to accommodate our four year old grandson, who happens to be gluten intolerant. Children’s menu was pretty good deal of entrée, side and drink for $ 6.00. Our kiddo decided on a hot dog, which was served on a hamburger bun because it’s the only GF bread they have. Celery and Carrot sticks and orange juice. He was pleased and I was glad it was fairly healthy.
I ordered the Cobb Salad. There were so many goodies on it, I found myself wishing for more lettuce. My husband ordered the spicy chicken salad and seemed very pleased. He was also pleased that the Manhatten he ordered was only $ 5. 50!
$ 15.50 for my Cobb Salad seemed a little high, but not outrageously so — and the avocado ranch dressing was yummy.
The hamburgers I saw being delivered looked fabulous. Might be worth a trip back to try one of those big boys!
It was Friday night and they weren’t especially busy. The servers needed more to do — but maybe we just caught it before they got busy with people who didn’t have kiddos with them.

Fast friendly service. Excellent food. Well located. Ate here 2 nights in a row! Had a hard time deciding what to eat because it all looks so good.

While staying at the Sunriver Resort, we were looking for a place to get some good wings. Decided to give this place a try and we found what we were looking for. The wings, fries, and onion rings were all good. The service was also good. The price for what we ordered was average; however, the entrée menu for dinners seemed to be a little high. If you are looking for a quick and convenient place to go when staying in Sunriver and you don’t feel like driving to Bend, this place fits the bill.

Its taco Tuesday bitchs! Between the two of us we had 12 tacos and they rocked. Cant go wrong at a buck a piece. Tasty tacos and cold beer. Staff was on top of it and were friendly and jonny on the the spot. Going to make this a regular tuesday night deal.

Upon various recommendations from our server Crystal we chose the pot roast sliders and they were incredibly good! Comfort food on mini buns!

I love this place. Its a great atmosphere and the food is exactly what you want. The staff is awesome. The bad reviews on here sound like people trying to get a free gift card. Keep the name of the restaurant in mind: The Village Bar and Grill. If you’re expecting a 4 Seasons dining experience, you’re going to be disappointed. But if you want delicious food, large portions, and a well stocked bar, you cant pass this place up. It does get busy from time to time, that’s just Sunriver during the holiday season. So forgive the server if they seem a little rushed.
Most importantly, don’t miss out on the fries!

Able to accommodate large parties, though unable to make reservations. Thankfully the business was not busy on a Sunday night. Great food and our waiter was pretty great dealing with a rowdy bachelorette party.

We enjoyed a great lunch on a sunny deck. The meals were very good & my wife found the scratch ranch/​avocado dressing extra yummy. Haylee, our server, was pleasant & professional. She was attentive to our needs even though we were her only couple outside for a late lunch.

Busy Friday night so we were lucky and arrived just at the right time in the bar. Quick service with a waiter who was a little stressed.
Food was really pretty good. Ordered the seared ahi. Excellent. Really good house Chardonnay as well.
Lots of big tvs with spies on. Cozy place. Would go again and hope for a different, more friendlier wait staff.

Went here for the second half of a football game after we watched the first half elsewhere. Even though we only ordered dessert, the server was friendly and very nice. He didn’t push us to order more or to leave. In fact, he was enjoying the game as much as we were! The ambiance was great, the chocolate cake is AMAZING, and the service was wonderful. We will be going back for sure.

Went back for dinner. Had the Quesadilla appetizer which was just as the other reviews said… AMAAAAAAAZING! Smokey flavor and savory. Pot roast was tender and tasty, potatoes were not bad. Dinner salad was also great, but get the dressing on the side cuz there’s a lot going on with the salad itself. Overall, this continues to not disappoint! PS They pour good mixed drinks in the bar!

The food is solidly mediocre and a bit overpriced but what can you really expect from a resort town. Happy hour beers are very reasonably priced.

We were excited to have a nice dinner here and were pretty disappointed. We ordered water, 1 drink, an appetizer and 2 entrees. My husbands drink came out promptly but we had to remind the waitress 3 times for our water. It took 57 minutes (yes, I timed it after it took 20 minutes to get a glass of water) to get our appetizer and it was cold by the time it got to us. Our meals came out 5 minutes later. The only reason this place is getting 2 stars was because my steak was cooked perfectly. My husbands fish was REALLY overcooked and our asparagus was super mushy. The potatoes tasted like they were mixed with real potatoes and instant. We never had our waters refilled and we were never offered another drink. At the end of our meal we asked for the check and a to-​go box. We then waited another 20 minutes to cash out and get our box.
Honestly this place has potential to be awesome but the whole ordeal made us feel like we were a burden to the staff. Had they been really busy or something I could understand but their just wasn’t a good excuse. We were more than polite and courteous the entire time but after sitting at our table for almost TWO HOURS I would NEVER come back.
I would absolutely eat at the brewery restaurant just a short walk down the walkway (next to the IGA store) from this place. You will probably have to wait a while for a table but the service and food is 100% more enjoyable. If waiting isn’t your thing I would suggest a frozen entrée from the local supermarket. At least that way you know what you’re getting and the service from your microwave is probably more pleasant.

Not very good. On par with Denny’s as far as quality, taste, and portion size but more expensive. Cheap, good coffee tho!

Saturday night. 45 min wait at Sunriver Brewing. We are on the list but not wanting to wait THAT long when I saw the review on Unilocal for The Village Bar & Grill. «Come here for half the wait at Sunriver Brewing.»
Sunriver Brewing was not a make or break with us. We just wanted to grab a bite to eat and head home. Perusing the menu, I quickly deduced that The Village Bar & Grill actually had more suitable options for everyone in our party.
I went over to check and was pleased to walk right in and have immediate seating. Before I could finish texting the rest of our group to head this direction, I’d ordered a 10 Barrel Sinister and had an appetizer of onion rings in the works. When everyone else arrived, I was already sipping the high life.
It’s not like The Village Bar & Grill was dead and we were the only ones in there. Actually, it was pretty full. A couple open tables. I glanced at what people were eating — lots of salads. Burgers. Lettuce wraps. Most were being fully consumed, meaning they probably tasted good.
I went for the western burger with fries. Others in our party had the chicken sandwich with honey mustard.
Our server was attentive and engaging. Even though he was handling several tables, he never faltered on any request we pitched at him. Unlike the experience of other reviewers who had poor /​slow service, not so with us.
Onion rings arrived and they were better than average. Nothing special though. Side of ranch. Beer battered rings. Hot.
Meals arrived and they LOOKED better than they were. You know how you just feel like it should be better than it really is? Yeah… that’s how it was for both my burger & the chicken sandwich eaters. In fact, pulling apart the chicken sandwich, both said in unison, «Where’s the honey mustard?» Our server quickly brought two sides but it wasn’t enough to resurrect the subpar sandwich.
On the flip side, the fries were really good. Definitely above average. Crispy with a yummy seasoning.
When all is said and done the bill was about what we expected for a touristy resort location. I don’t think it was worth it, but then again we don’t really frequent Sunriver much. I’d come here again in a pinch. I’d probably come here rather than wait in line at Sunriver Brewing. But I also wouldn’t make special trip to come here.

If Sunriver Brewing is super full, try this place! It’s just as good and half the wait!
Seriously, we came here and had a 45 minute wait. A few of us posted up in the bar, choosing from their great beer selection and eating wings. It seriously was perfect. Once our table was ready, the waitress was kind and attentive and the food was perfect.
It’s not too fancy, there’s something for everyone, and it’s moderately priced. Go!
