the view is exceptional, beer list OK and overpriced. Food is just OK.

The new restaurant(Carsons) is quite an improvement. I orfdered 3 sides that were all fantastic — especially the Brussels sprouts. Nice décor, staff.

Average food, nice classy ambiance and good service. There is nothing more exciting to report from our recent dinner experience.

Great place to unwind after a refreshing bicycle ride along the many miles of paved bike/hike trails with a tasty Bloody Mary(go slowly on the pepper spiced salt on the rim)… Or one(?) of the great local Brews on tap… Sampler tray recommended… Our server… Graham… was exceptionally attentive and engaging… Been there before and will be there again… RickyD

Spent my birthday in sunriver and had my bday dinner here at meadows. The service was pretty good, good pour on the glass of wine, and the view is very nice. The food on the other hand not so great. We split the salted beat salad to start which was very tasty, but very small portion for the price. The Mac n cheese had zero cheese taste, was just noodles with bacon flavor, not very good. The clam fettucini was pretty bad. The clams weren’t very impressive but they were just sitting on top of plain fettuccini, sitting in a puddle of tasteless broth. Pretty gross for the $ 23 price tag. If we didn’t have resort credit we needed to use, there is no way I would be ok with paying the ridiculous prices for such an unappetizing meal. You’re better off going next door to the pub & grub style restaurant in the lodge, food there was a little better.

We had a very disappointing lunch at Meadows. The good things are the magnificent view. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. We had no complaints about the service. The mussels as a first course were very tasty. However both of our entrees were not good. One had the halibut fish and chips. The fish was so dry he couldn’t eat it. The salad was top heavy with dressing and not as described on the menu. All in all we will not return. Very expensive lunch for the outcome.

The food is okay here, nothing spectacular. The food took forever to come out during breakfast, but the waitresses and waiters really nice and helpful(maybe a slow kitchen?). It’s definitely cozy inside, very winter cabin like(I’m sure it’s even better during the winter). Ill most likely be back next visit.

The chorizo and eggs were quite delicious. The menu overall is s little spendy but the large portions and service really make up for it.

We waited an hour and a half for breakfast. 30 min just for everyone to get water. The waitress was terrible, when the food came out half the meals were cold. She offered to nuke them. The manager was finally brought to the table after one of us complained up front. We got one meal for free, and a small discount on the rest of the food. Our party had stayed there the night before, so we had rented 4 rooms, and terrible food service, so we get a small discount? Won’t ever eat there again.

It’s a perfectly good restaurant but it lacks anything special. Our waitress seemed quite bored and the food was fine but not memorable. The lodge is pretty with nice views but that is really what you get here. My wife asked for a plate of vegetables and it was unimaginative to say the least. Additionally I had a sandwich and it was that kind where bread makes up 80% of the sandwich. I doubt we’d be back.

Very high service quality. Serious professional staff. Place looks very nice and well maintained. Food is just OK. Really nothing special, almost disappointing. No taste, no care put on it. At the end, it is not worth going there

This is a review for the breakfast… I loved how this place looks… I love the ambiance… Yes its supposed to look traditional, and that’s what I like about it. I got the eggs benedict and it was heavenly! my bf got the pancakes. Only reason why I gave it a 4 star is because of the price. Other than that; our experience here was great. I miss Sunriver Resort already

A group of four stopped by for dinner and it was so-so. I think I should lower my expectations when I’m looking for food in the mountains. I mean, stuff won’t be as fresh as it should be in the cold winter, much less having to truck it up a mountain. We ordered drinks, appetizers, and entrees. We were hungry, and tired. This combination makes almost any food taste good. After numerous meals of burgers, I opted for butternut squash soup and a beet salad. The waiter said the butternut squash soup was great, so I went with it. I wasn’t impressed at all. There was nothing special or creamy or flavorful about this soup. I would have appreciated a lot more field greens in my beet salad. I think I had like 10 leafs of greens. My friend’s meals looked fine, nothing special. I would say it was annoying to have the lights continue to dim and get brighter while we were eating, and a server who kept talking to guests next to us for about 15 minutes straight as if they were only 3 people in the room.

No clue how this place gets 4 or 5 stars. Menu is limited to beef and two fish options. Tuna was cold, stringy and fatty, mashed potatoes cold, caesar salad had zero flavor swimming in dressing, and marioberry cobbler dry and gummy. Waitress was super nice an friendly and good service — but that’s it. Probably the worst meal we have had in years.

I didn’t think the food was excellent. It was ok. Service was pretty good. Also, I thought the place looked like a flash back to the 70s. It was like I was waiting for the cast of Three’s Company to pop out of corner of the restaurant.

Whoever does the hiring for this particular hotel & restaurant has issued a decree from on high; «thou shalt not hire the ugly nor shall thou hire women over the age of 24.» This is holy writ, and I do assure you that it has been followed to the letter. A pity, then, I was there with my sister. Oh yes, the food was good too.

During our stay in the area, we stopped here twice for breakfast. The breakfasts ordered off the menu were fresh and tasty. Eggs were cooked just right, pancakes were delicious, and the bacon was thick and delicious. On a Monday morning, we stopped in again and saw that they had a breakfast buffet going. We ordered that instead of an item off the menu. This was more of a mixed bag. The fruit was great, especially the pineapple and the giant, beautiful strawberries. That great bacon made an appearance as well. On the other hand, the edges of the french toast had dried up by the time I got to it, and the eggs benedict(even straight from the kitchen, I saw them put it on the table right before I took one) had eggs overcooked to the point where the yolk was solid. Between all of the people at our table, five or six servings of the eggs benedict were all the same way. Both of our visits went very well in terms of service, the waiters are all very friendly and we never had to wait on anything.

So the fiancé and I scored a sweet deal on LivingSocial, so we headed over to the Sunriver Resort for a mini-vacation that we felt we had earned, being educators and all. We had survived the week before winter break! Our nifty little deal came with a free breakfast, which we were pretty excited about. I honestly don’t think we’ve quite outgrown the college student mentality that gets us positively euphoric at the idea that we may get free food. So imagine our joy at the prospect of getting a free breakfast without having to sit through some boring Greenpeace or Planned Parenthood lecture first. We were obviously moving up in the world. We arrived at the Meadows around nine am, and we were seated promptly at a small table right next to the windows that overlook the golf course. The views were incredible, and the ambiance inside was cozy and pleasant, even with the Christmas music playing. Our server was polite and friendly. She came by just enough to let us know that we were on her radar, but not so often that we felt rushed to leave our prime spot. I ordered an absolutely amazing hot chocolate while we perused the menu. Really, get the hot chocolate. Swiss Miss is out of my life forever after experiencing that little cup of(free) Heaven. The menu is pretty extensive, and pretty expensive. I’m not totally sure I’d be willing to pay $ 8 dollars for a «smoothie» that I could probably mash together at home. But, I did appreciate the fact that they had so many options, ranging from über healthy to well, the equivalent of a small stroke or at least heart palpitations, on a plate. I decided to go the unhealthy route and order an omelet with bacon, spinach, white cheddar, and red peppers. My fiancé got the french toast. We did end up waiting quite a while to get our food, and while we were waiting, I felt like we had three different servers come by to ask if we needed more coffee, which was nice. When our food finally appeared, our main server came out with it, and I wondered whether she was moonlighting as that morning’s main chef. My omelet was awesome. Everything tasted fresh and the bacon was thick cut and added just the right amount of smoky flavor. I have to say that the potatoes that came with the entrée were just a bit too greasy for my liking, but it was easy to ignore them and totally immerse myself in the omelet experience. I looked across the table and my fiancé seemed to be enjoying his absolutely enormous french toast as much as I was enjoying my(ahem, free) breakfast. I was a little sad to be leaving so much of my awesome omelet behind, but since it was the size of a deflated NFL football, I knew I had to surrender. When we asked for the check, we braced ourselves for the judgmental look bestowed upon coupon users at a fancy restaurant. Instead, our server glanced at the voucher, gave us a huge smile, and said, «you’re all set! Have an excellent rest of your morning!» It would be hard not to have an excellent rest of our morning after such a great start. Thanks, Meadows at the Lodge for letting us feel like we belonged. We’ll be back in about 15 years, when we can really, truly afford to pay for your awesome breakfasts.

The food is top notch here at the Meadow. The view overlooks the golf course here at Sunriver. One of three courses out her at SR. The pricing on this, is just like any other resort, meaning that it is more expensive than you local dive somewhere else. The service staff are very attentive and appropriate in their service of your meal. There is plenty of seating and most all seats have a splendid view out the 8′ tall windows. This place is good both for an intimate meal, or for a larger group. You must eat here if you are in the area!

Oh, the sunset! Framed in a flowerbox profusion of color. Overlooking the water and the hills stretching onward to the far horizon. Bucolic and lovely. Oh, the fish chowder, lightly besprinkled with bacon. Possibly the finest and most different of its kind that we had ever tasted. Not to be missed, though oddly enough our excellent server said that most people do. They need to emphasize it more – had we not ordered large main courses I’d have had them bring another. An excellent, excellent, surprisingly excellent dinner to end a week’s stay in Sunriver, Oregon. We hadn’t stayed at the Lodge(or even set foot there until our dinner reservation) but I’m glad we saw the place. Go there! The food ‘n’ drinks would hold up anywhere, not just Sunriver.
