Wonder Cuts

I’ve been getting my haircut here, mostly by Kim, for the past five years. Always very satisfied with how my haircut turns out. They get my fade perfect, not like other places where the sides will stick out awkwardly. Don’t have to wait too long, and always have a nice conversation with the stylists to pass the time.

My regular place to get a haircut but ONLY from Kim. Tried Mai once and won’t make that mistake again. 5 stars for Kim (who I think runs the place) and two stars for Mai.

The worst haircut and horrible experience I have ever had in my entire Life. Following are the reasons you should not visit the shop : —
1) Even though it is summer they don’t turn on the AC. I visited the shop at 12:05pm on 08/​09/​2015.
2) Staff is not at all professionally trained. They hired all ‘Retired People’ who just do the job because they can’t do anything after retirement. Doing any job after retirement is not the concern but you should be perfect in what you are doing.
3) Staff is not able to speak or understand English language clearly. I asked the lady for short haircut & she made me ‘BALD’ then I realized why it is named as ‘Wonder Cuts’. You will be wondered after you get your haircut. This is the first time I didn’t pay tip.

Today I went there for V shape hair cut. While doing I requested to make little shorter. But the lady got angry and argued with me and shorten only the front side. I’ll avoid this place from next time. This is my first and last visit to this store

No wait, haircut exactly as I wanted it, and 10 bucks? That equals five stars in my book :)

Pretty terrible haircut!
I’ve always gone to a different salon but the guy who did my hair left. So I figured I would try this place out due to the reviews.
The lady (can’t remember her name) really had no clue what she was doing. Immediately after the haircut, anyone (including my friend) could tell it was poorly done. Now that I’ve waited a while and my hair is longer, it’s clear that she had no skills (perhaps only for men?).
You get what you pay for; unless you already know who’s a decent barber here, I would recommend looking else where (especially for those who are 1^st timer like myself)

Kim is the best!!!

I am a new customer and have tried this place a few times with KIM. She’s wonderful. She knows how to cut my hair which fit my face. I will never return to my old place since this place is a lot better. Kim is a kind person and knows what she’s doing. I will recommend my friends and family to have hair cut with Kim.

To be honest I came her once before and got turned away because one lady had an appointment in 45min. I have short hair it takes 20 to do a fade. Second time I said LOW fade she gives me a HIGH fade! Yea eat your food while you cut my hair. My haircut wasn’t what I wanted and probably will not be coming back here. Especially greeting me with «what do you want?» Did I not just walk into a «haircut» place what do you think I want?

This place sucks. Maybe I just got a terrible hair cutter. First time getting cut here and the lady didn’t even listen to how I wanted my cut. She looked clueless at my simple explanation. I’ve gotten the same style cut for over 10 years when I lived in Sacramento before moving to Sunnyvale. This was a gamble, but thought some of the reviews were promising. Sadly, the lady simply buzzed my hair off at the top like she was going for a flat top instead of trimming it. I said a MEDIUM-​high fade and she cut very HIGH and didn’t even fade it with a number ZERO. This lady was so bad that another lady had to take over and she seemed to actually know how to fade somewhat better, but I won’t be coming here anymore. Wonder Cuts royally screwed up my hairstyle of many years. Be warned, if you get fades this is a bad place to get faded up – especially because they don’t even pay attention to what you are saying.
UPDATE: I decided to give this place a 2^nd chance today (1÷30÷15) for some reason. When I walked in, the tall lady with glasses stared me down like some terrorist just entered the premises. The lady went to the back for something, came back and told me she had an appointment even though there was absolutely nobody there. My cut normally takes about 10 minutes if that. Honestly, I am glad I did not let them touch my hair again. This place has such poor service that I ended up walking out. It truly was not worth giving this place another shot.
They are called WONDER CUTS for a reason — because they make you wonder how BAD your hair is going to come out when you leave.

I love Kim. She’s the best. She’s been cutting my hair for about 15 years now!

Worst place ever to get haircuts for children. I arrived at 10am on Mon to find the place closed. Owner arrived at 10:15 and claimed she already had an appointment for that slot. The other hairdresser wasn’t suppose to arrive until much later. I should have walked away. Instead, I walked in hoping to wait a little for either the other employees to arrive or for this one to finish with her first client. At that moment another employee did show up. She started working on my 4 year old daughter and finished 45 mins later. It was just a simple cut, no changes in style just shortened length. The haircut was uneven and the hairdresser mostly used a clipper (which is unusual being that these were my girls’ haircuts). My toddler’s haircut took half the time but was still not neat. To top it all off, they kept blow-​drying my daughters’ hairs to conceal any unleveled portions. I eventually stopped asking them to make the cuts neater. My husband loves this place because he’s an $ 8 haircut kind of guy. But neither I, nor my children will return to this place in the future.

I’m new to the area and struggled to find a good stylist to cut my hair. I’m a guy and my haircut is fairly simple, but it’s amazing how many stylists just do not care. I loved how my haircut turned out. Kim was great and I would recommend her to anyone. It was very well priced also. $ 10 bucks

This is one of those places where you get what you pay for! $ 15 haircut means you get only a cut. My haircuts usually includes the shampoo so I didn’t know it’s additional and you have to ask for it. Conversation with my hairstylist, zero! Ladies that works here talk in their language the whole entire time! The only good experience here was the hair cut itself. It was actually decent. Although she ignored me the entire haircut time, she actually spent a decent amount of time making sure all the angles brushed out was evenly cut.

Took an appointment. Needed a simple cut. Good job, done in 10 minutes, and out without a pinch to the wallet.

I have given this place two tries, first time I asked Kim for her opinion and she literally laughed at me and proceeded to say something in another language to the ladies sitting down in the back, and they also laughed. I was wondering if I could go blonde (I am light brown naturally) and this b*tch seriously laughed at me. Not to mention my hair cut sucked. The second time I went with another lady, who took about 5 minutes and barely grazed my hair. Seriously?

You could shove your money somewhere else *cough* and it would be a hell of a lot more efficient.

Do not go here. I never wrote a bad review and I ended up here.
Kim was not interested in handling my hair cut but for some reason she did and I ended with a horrible hair style. I wouldnt recommend this for anyone There are plenty of other good places.

Good place for the price. It’s worth checking out if you want a quick and simple haircut.

My daughters and I went here for back to school cuts, and while my daughters are satisfied with their cuts, I am devastated!
I asked for 5 inches off my waist length hair, they took 10!
I asked if they wanted me to stand up so they could cut my hair without bending down (I’ve done this for plenty of hairdressers before because of my long long hair), she just looked at me like I was an alien, I don’t think she knows much English, she didn’t ask me any questions or make any attempt to make conversation
Now, if its not enough to make you think twice about choosing this place how about this, probably the worst point of all, their scissors were so dull and/​or mis-​calibrated that they BROKE my hair rather than cutting it, my ends are crimped, bent, zigzagged, and even split! (I had no split ends going in!).
My long long hair will be medium length after I get a cut to fix this cut, and I am terribly saddened about it! I’m not one to complain, I do so very rarely, I just want to save other people from the heartache I feel about losing my mane!

I gots long, thick, black hair. And it’s straight in some areas, but most of it is wiry. In other words, a pain in the ass to tame.
So I went to Unilocal and looked up this place, and read that I should ask for Kim.
After two weekends of calling and learning that she was off on Sundays… I finally called this past weekend and set up an appointment on Saturday! (Walk-​ins are acceptable, but Kim gets booked up fast, so call ahead!)
She did not disappoint me! She spent about 25 minutes hacking off my dark locks, about a foot of hair.
$ 15 for the haircut! (No, no shampoo, but my hair is better without the wetness, better gauge on how much to cut, or not.)
I’ll be back… in about 8+ mos! :)
Oh, and bring CASH!
