The reason I’m giving this place two stars is because of the customer service. Went in with my girlfriend for lunch and the lady immediately gave us attitude. On top of that she was super stingy with the ingredients. I asked for spinach and she only gave me 10 pieces. Asked for extra and she gave me 3 more. At this point I was already frustrated. I asked one more time for extra spinach and she only added another 2 pieces. And this point I didn’t wanna deal with it anymore. Said everything else and immediately left.

Never go here unless you want to sweat. The owners are too cheap to turn on the air conditioning and the servers sweat on your sandwich. Ewww gross!

This place can get pretty packed at lunch. Sometimes the wait goes out the door. Which means the workers get completely confused and start messing up. I prefer the togos a little further down but when I am crunched for time I will come here and get my sandwich fix. I normally just do a foot long. And if you want extra topping you have to emphasize it more than once they get cheap.

During lunch, it gets pretty busy. The waiting line forms outside the door too. The ingredients are fresh but we have to tell them twice about what we want before they pay attention!

Watch out, they rip you off on the daily special. Had a turkey sandwich on Wednesday. Would of paid full price if I didn’t check. This wasn’t the first time.

I ordered their standard six inch BLT sub to go. The deli clerk went through the routine of asking what kind of bread and toppings I wanted on it. Picked sourdough with only onions added to the bacon, lettuce, and tomato. After they made my sandwich and I paid, they asked if I wanted a receipt. I said yes, looked it over, and there was an unbelievable charge on it for water that I didn’t order. Check your receipts! By the way, the sandwich was great. This place gets one star for the water charge chicanery, three for the sandwich, which equals a two star experience.

It’s very rare for me to write a one star review, but I’m sorry. When you operate a business based on saving money than offering a good tasteful sandwich, I can’t give any more than one star. It’s a shame really, because I am one of the few people I know who until today really liked Subway. Unfortunately, I’ve seen them on the decline for the last few years in terms of the quality of the sandwiches. I was coming home from my physical therapy appointment around 1115 and decided to pick up a sandwich. I was going to go to togo’s which is right around the corner, but decided I was in the mood for Subway. I don’t know what it is about the Subway’s I’ve been to here in California. I don’t know if it’s the high rent and they can’t afford to make a decent sandwich for the prices, or if the owner’s just need to make as much money as possible for their own benefit. My experience: There were a bunch of employee’s behind the counter. I’m assuming this is for a lunch rush hour. There weren’t too many people in the store when I showed up, maybe about 5 other people ordering ahead of me. I asked for the Monday 6″ special on wheat, not toasted. Here is a breakdown: Meat and cheese: same as every subway and what I expected. Spinach: I got an ok amount on the sandwich, I was happy with it. Cucumbers: I got 2 slices… This covered only HALF of my half of a sandwich… seriously??? I asked for more cucumbers and she moved the two pieces to the center of the sandwich. I again asked for more cucumbers. The lady in line behind me kind of laughed in disbelief. I finally got 2 more cucumbers to at least give me cucumber taste in every bite. Seriously? 4 slices of cucumber is about what, a couple of pennies? I can find a large cucumber for about 50 cents and get a lot of their thinly sliced cucumbers out of it. I’m sure subway gets cheaper cucumbers in bulk if I can get them so cheap. We aren’t talking about organic veggies here. Green Peppers: Again, I got a couple of shreds. I couldn’t even taste them in my sandwich. Black olives: I got about 3 slices of an olive, so probably less than one olive. I can get a can for a dollar, so Subway can get them for less. I got about $.05 worth of a black olive. I WANTTOTASTETHESTUFF I ASKFOR. .WHY do you only put enough on to say you offered it? If you want to be a meat and cheese shop, then stop offering veggie fillings, or charge more if you’re that much of a cheap scape. I can tell you this, from now on, I will NOT go to a subway in California, especially this one! I’ll stick to my Togo’s.

I used to be a fan until I walked into this Subway two weeks ago and I saw/heard them blame a customer for their mistake on an order. It was a scene. The Subway came across uncaring about their customers, and it was an all-out bad experience. I even wrote to corporate about how unprofessional the experience was. Neither Corporate nor the store has responded. It wasn’t even my sandwich or of someone I knew. I probably won’t be back, because if they screw up my sandwich they will tell me it was my fault too.

Came here a little before 8 and saw the sign said they open at 8AM so I returned at 8:47 and the man was just opening shop. I ordered a sandwich and was hoping for the wheat bread but he only had sourdough and one other white bread so I didnt have a choice so I just chose one. The toaster to melt the cheese wasn’t hot enough so he didnt bother to toast it, saw the lettuce was a little brown so was from the night before. I liked how he tried to cover it up by mixing it really quickly before putting it on the sandwich. Can’t trick me man! He asked me to pay cash since the credit card machine wasn’t ready yet… what? Don’t you just need to turn it on? Shady. Will not return to this location again. I am not eating my sandwich at work. The bread is dry so must have been from yesterday. Way to make working on a Saturday even more less enjoyable.

Veggie delight please, whole wheat bread, every veggie item, no mayo, oil and vinegar, salt and pepper. Mmmmmm! Fast, cheap, and tasty. Just steer clear of the small restaurant during the insane lunch rush.

Seriously, lady? You’re going to put tomatoes and cucumbers on my sandwich and THEN ask me if I want everything on it? I really hate cucumbers in my sandwich but I just kept quiet and picked it out later… Why did she feel she had to rush like that? There were zero customers in the store. This is the Asian lady and as I read the other reviews, I see I’m not the only one that has an issue with her… Not to mention, when I came in, the bell went off and it still took her awhile to come out. After a long day of work, I want to pick up my dinner with a smile and good service, is that so much to ask? That just added to my long day. Just terrible, terrible service. This is the only Subways that has given me poor quality service. Maybe that’s why they are rated lower than the other Subways in Sunnyvale. The one day that I decided to try something different I end up regretting it. I’ll stick to Togo’s next door.

Did you really just charge me an extra 50 cents to toast my sandwich? According to my receipt, they charge 50 cents to «toast» your sandwich. This is appalling, especially since nowhere on their menu does it state there is an extra«toasting fee.» In addition, not every Subway franchise applies this shady surcharge. Clearly, the owner of this franchise is counting pennies; but losing dollars, as I doubt I return if they continue to charge me extra to heat up my sandwich. That’s like McDonald’s charging me an extra 50 cents to warm up my Big Mac. F***ing ridiculous!

Yes, I’m reviewing Subway and yes, I’m giving it 5 stars. Why? Because it’s one that remembers my face and general order after going here multiple times a week for lunch when I worked nearby. While the parking lot sucks, lunch rush can get hectic, and the meat is still processed, overall the service is very quick and efficient. Even during the lunch rush, they assemble sandwiches pretty fast while there may be a slight wait if you get your sandwiches toasted. I also appreciate the little things, like knowing that I don’t want cheese on my sandwiches and that I like wheat bread. All in all, this Subway will have a special place in my memories when I think of my job nearby. Oh yeah, you may already know but if you get anything toasted, they charge you tax. Cold sandwiches = no tax.

I visited here for quick lunch, but in fact I wanted to visit nearby restaurants like Togos or the mission city café. And I found out that many people give 5 stars and many other people give 1 star. Why is it so? I tried this place to see what is so weird. Conclusion? Well subway’s subway. It’s just a normal subway, A-OK place. But somehow I am not a fan of this place. Just 3 stars.

The Sports Guy’s podcast is now Subway-sponsored and plugs their promotional deal: «For a limited time, get any piled-high regular foot-long for just five dollars.» I suppose«piled-high» is subjective, but I think that by definition it includes piling. For example, a single meatball hardly qualifies as a pile of meatballs. Nor does said meatball reach very high. I ordered a 12″ meatball sub. It contained eight meatballs and four half-slices of cheese. Eight meatballs. Eight. Meatballs. And we’re not talking about huge meatballs either(e.g. si zi tou, Chinese«lion’s head» meatballs). Eight regulation-size meatballs. «I think there’s been some mistake… I didn’t order the DIET meatball sub.» Just a pathetic, sorry display of sandwich engineering. I want to make this perfectly clear. The meatballs were lined up single-file and still didn’t run the length of the sandwich. This is the opposite of a sub being«piled-high.» If I can take a bite of a meatball sandwich, and no meatball or fraction thereof enters my mouth, it’s not piled-high. If I can arrange the meatballs such that no two meatballs touch, it’s not piled-high. If you’re putting eight meatballs on a foot-long loaf of bread, you’re doing it worng. No wonder Jared lost a bunch of weight eating Subway. Subway is the most disappointing sandwich chain around. «Piled-high» my keister. Togo’s and Quizno’s are more expensive, but they’re way more satisfying. Between Subway and Panda Express, Sports Guy has lost all food credibility.
