The prices aren’t just high, they’re insulting. $ 7.45 for a skinnier-than-average basic veggie burrito, $ 5.25 for a small bean and cheese burrito, and $ 6.50 for a cheese quesadilla? It actually makes me angry. The food is ok. If it were priced according to average taqueria food I’d eat here more often. I just can’t get over what they’re expecting me to pay. SMH

Come here for the food. Don’t bring a date. I had the chili verde burrito and it was a very filling meal. The pork was well seasoned and not dry. The green chili sauce was right on. There’s really nothing you can ask for a $ 8 meal. I also tried some tortilla soup and it was pretty acceptable. Oh, they have the 500ml Mexican Coke if you are into that.

It is an okay Tex-Mex food, even a bit pricy for what they offer. But I think my biggest concern with them is the hours of operation

3÷31÷15: After trying this place it suddenly hit me it’s kinda like a family-owned sorta semi-hole-in-the-wall Chipotle. While searching for the place to write this review I saw there’s another with the same name in San Jose which looks more modern, so I dunno if this is part of a larger business, but anyway, this location does feel like a more family-run thing. 1. Burrito Al Pastor(under«specialty») ~$ 9(forgot exact price): Relatively simple burrito. Lady asked me what kind of bean(refried for me), what kind of rice(they had brown rice! – I got that), and whether I wanted salsa… I told her at that point I wanted«everything.» Well, actually, I received exactly what she asked: meat, beans, rice, and salsa. So, again, pretty basic. I wished I got some sour cream at least. Maybe you have to ask? The standout here is the meat: it is GOOD. Rarely have I had al pastor pork this tasty – it’s grilled and tender, and plenty flavorful. It’s too bad they didn’t maximize the best part by surrounding it in a luscious burrito. Anyway, cause of the amazingly good meat: 6⁄10. The setup really is very similar to Chipotle, but I think that gimmick works to make Chipotle seem less fast-food. Here, it already has that family feel, and I’m not sure the variety of buckets laid out really helps with your experience since it appears they’re just gonna add the bare minimum to your burrito anyway. Anyway, meat’s superb, but the rest is just average. Wouldn’t mind coming back and trying more though. It should be noted that they have many items catered towards vegetarians. I guess vegetarians would like this place. #mexican #burrito

Despite the high prices the food is actually pretty good. The Al pastor is really tasty. Chicken is eh. Rice and beans pretty good. The standout is the breakfast burritos. They are huge and super quality.

It sort of reminds me of this mexican spot on my old college campus type of quality. Overpriced for what you get. I’ve been here a few times because it was close to work and honestly there burritos are tiny compared to other places. This is definitely not going to be my go to place when I’m craving mexican food.

This is actually one of the worst Mexican food places I’ve ever been to. The rice was dry, meat was tough, salsa was not fresh at all and did not taste authentic. Basically everything that could have been wrong was wrong. Go here if you like tasteless food.

Their California burrito is worth coming back for. It has french fries in it. Goes well if you request more avocado sauce instead of sour cream. They are open for very few hours on the weekdays only. I wish they were open during the weekend.

Glad to see they have a california burrito, but it was probably the skinniest burrito I’ve ever had, taquito status. Ok not that bad, but might as well have been. Since a california burrito is a burrito with fries, you would expect it to be bigger but nope. It tasted cool though. Not mind blowing, but nice to know its there if I want a snack.

I had the low-carb tomato chicken bowl. I saw the low ratings, but decided to give it a shot since it was near my workplace. I was certainly disappointed. The chicken didn’t taste like Mexican seasoned chicken at all; it tasted more like Chinese flavored chicken with a bit of a fishy aftertaste. The container I received had so much juice in it that it was sopping wet and almost dripping in the bag. This was because of the watery salsa that they added on top. The grilled vegetables were okay, but nothing spectacular. I ordered guacamole to go on top, but it was nothing to write home about. The people who worked there didn’t smile or greet me in a welcoming way. They didn’t seem like very happy people to be completely honest. I will never eat food from this restaurant again.

Overpriced tacos and meat that couldn’t be tasted over a single onion in the Pico de gallo/mild salsa. $ 3 for meat, pico and tortilla?! We’re talking a taco truck, taqueria taco that doesn’t have cheese, guac, or anything else. Actually, I was only offered pico, not even onions and cilantro. When I asked for spicy salsa on it, too, I was directed to the«salsa bar». So I had to unwrap the foil on the taco, which is always a risk, in order to put salsa on top. If I had ordered a burrito, that would have been a huge mess. The pico was surprisingly good, fresh and flavorful. So flavorful that if I had a bit of meat and a bit of onion, I couldn’t taste the meat. By itself, the meat was a little salty. Not bad, but not good either. Corn Tortillas were soft, but chalky. All in all, it’s convenient to the office if I’m in too much of a rush to care. Otherwise, I’ll pass. Pretty much felt like this towards the nachos and burrito I had in the past.

Vegetarians and vegans should get the roasted zucchini burrito. They prepare them squash real nice and crisp. Even zucchini-phobes may enjoy it. The burrito is nigh gigantic and so you won’t go wrong there. There’s more: the whole lot is wrapped in a whole wheat flour tortilla giving it the added illusion of being healthy. Oh, and since this is Señor Jalapeño, do ask them to throw some jalapeño into the burrito. They’ll do that for you real good. The one thing they could do to get a perfect score would be to offer a vegan meat or cheese. Yves, Boca, Daiya, Follow your Heart make such things. Yeah, right they’re going to do that though.

I like their LoCarb bowl with Tomato Chicken. I don’t have to eat low carb, but this is a very tasty option to a regular burrito with standard fatty ingredients. LoCarb Bowl(what I get on mine) Lettuce Grilled bell peppers and onions Tomato Chicken(cooked chicken sitting in tomato juice) Shredded Cheese Sour Cream Mild Salsa(I load up with three or four scoops of salsa).

The chimichanga here is all right, the sides are all right, and everything else is just meh. The food is uninspiring, and it’s bland. Hell, you can’t even get a refill on the chips that comes with your meal. It’s too overpriced for the quality and quantity of the food. I don’t want to compare this place with other mexican restaurants/cantina’s but what’s the point of having a full-service menu that offers a variety of mexican dishes if they are sub-par? I would personally love it if they really focused on getting the quality of their food amped up because I think this place is in a great location, it has so much traffic going through it that it can be a slam dunk. You know what also bothers me about this place? The damn tables are too close to each other, and the whole place feels cramped. I’ll be back because it’s the closest mexican food I could find near work. I just really wish it were better.

This is what can happen when there’s no real competition anywhere close by within walking distance to huge population of office workers. Mediocre to well-below-average food at disproportionate prices. If I can’t make it to a real Mexican joint in time, I’ll eat here, but I’m almost embarrassed to. UPDATE2014.03.19 — Damn! Had to go here a few more times since my last review. Is everything they sell here just watered down? Literally and figuratively! The salsas, the guacamole, cheese, etc. It’s not just cheap and tasteless — it’s so wrong!

I was starving and wanted a breakfast burrito, and this was along the way. The place was empty at around 10~ish, but I am assuming that with it’s location the majority of the customers are from the tech buildings. The food was hot and decent, and the horchata tasted like it came from the store. I’d probably drop by again if I was in a rush, but there are so many better places in Sunnyvale to get a breakfast Burrito.

Nothing cheers me up like a good breakfast burrito. I moved very close to this place and had been wanting to try it out for a long time. Unfortunately they are open only during weekdays during office hours 9 – 6 i believe. Again this is not one of the best burritos but a decent one. They do serve chips and salsa for free along with your order. The place is very clean and the service is great too.

For some reason, I mistook this to be an authentic Mexican place. I came along with one of my friends, hoping to grab good Mexican food. It is easy to find parking in this complex; nobody comes here apart from the people whose offices are located in this neighborhood. It was a bit difficult for me to communicate with the waiters because they were conversing in Spanish. Not sure whether it was because they assumed that I know Spanish or because my friend was also reciprocating to them in Spanish. But I didn’t care; because I was excited to treat my taste buds with genuine Mexican food. I don’t remember what exactly I ordered, but it came in a Taco shell with the usual Mexican stuff such as rice, beans, sour cream, guacamole, etc. They also packed some nachos along with my food. We took a short walk to the Encinal Park close by to eat on one of the benches. Oooopsiee, I did not like the food at all. Never ever ever ever will I return to this place.

The big valley-style burrito is here. Working in a concrete room with no windows, after a long drive down and looking forward to a long drive back after the day’s work is done, a mini-mall taqueria is just about right for a quick lunch. Then I pull into this place, and they have amenities like outdoor seating and a salsa bar. I order a burrito de carne asada and a small soda for $ 8.24, and lo and behold they roll up a burrito the size of my forearm. I mention to my colleague that I miss the giant silicon valley burritos without naming any names(not the chains, that’s for sure), and he notes that there are places where you can find a big burrito in San Francisco. Yes, and he even names a chain restaurant that would be perfectly at home in the county of mini-malls. Nevertheless, for almost instant gratification, I find this to be a good burrito.
