My birthday was this passed weekend and they definitely made it a memorable one! Best Club in the area for sure! Pure is always my go to when my friends & I want to have a good time. The waitresses gave me really good service as they always do, especially Auriel !! I booked my table in advance to make sure I got the table I wanted and Jonathan made it happen! He did an awesome job taking care of my party and even checked in to see if everything was okay throughout the night. Pure is just always so fun and they really make you feel special with the signs when you’re celebrating a big event! Probably the best birthday I’ve had thus far! I’m so glad I came to Jonathan for my birthday party plans! All my friends had a blast and so did I!

So I’m kind of obsessed with this place– had an amazing night ringing in 2016 here! It’s the hottest nightclub in the south bay and peninsula. It makes you feel like you are in Las Vegas! They have a huge room and then a upstairs balcony with an additional DJ. Sometimes I’m shocked at the big names they are able to bring in: T.I., 50 Cent, DJ Shift and other EDM artists. It’s also awesome that it’s free most nights if you sign up on the guest list beforehand.

Being a Vegas local and going to Vegas clubs, I didn’t expect much from this place, but I gave it 4 stars. Came here with my girlfriend and three other friends on a Saturday night. We arrived here around 9:45pm and waited for the guest list line to open at 10pm. *Note: Guest list closes at 11pm. You can get on the list through their website. We got in around 10:20pm and it was completely dead, of course. Nobody likes showing up early lol. Once you walk in, there’s a Pure Lounge backdrop to take pictures. Dude with a DSLR cam comes up and takes your picture to post on the website. Drinks are typical club prices. Not going to complain. Was sipping on Adiós which was $ 11+tip. The bartenders are quick and they’ll give you the head nod that they see you trying to wave them down. Crowd is pretty diverse with Indians, Hispanics, African-Americans, Caucasians, but Asians are mostly the scene. You’ll also see age 40+ older people there. Can’t hate that their trying to have a good time too! Oh I have to share this experience with you Unilocal readers lol. The first table/bottle service party comes in, and the hostesses looked like they hated their job haha. They went full out with like three Costco-sized Hennessy bottles and sparklers in it to celebrate a birthday or something! The hostesses were hot, but if my group is paying over $ 800 for a night out, you better hype us up and pour us some shots to get the night going! Started to get packed close to midnight, and that’s when it was lit. DJ started playing hip-hop and bay area slaps to dance to. Alie Layus, which was the headliner that night, came on stage around 12:30am. I take it they didn’t do a sound check before hand, because there was a lot of feedback when ever she tried to get on the mic. Left the club around 1am after they called ‘last call for alcohol’. Smh. 1AM?! Too early for me bro. 4 stars tho because the music was poppin’ and I had a great time with my friends!

I was able to make a reservation over the phone for mine and my best friends birthday. The lady was very helpful, however at first i was told i could get the booth i wanted. A few days later(after I thought everything was set in stone) peter called me to let me know i cannot get the booth I originally reserved. I would have appreciated if the women didn’t help decide on a booth and make it seem like it was okay to get that booth if she knew there was a possibility of being bought out. Our bottle service is this evening, I will be updating this post based on my experience tonight. Update: A lot of confusion and a little bit of a headache getting everyone in, but once we were in it was awesome. My friends and i had so much fun for my birthday.

Pros: –Nice helpful security making sure everyone feels safe in the club and out on the parking lot. Fights tend to break out after the club closes and they make sure you get home without trouble. –Small out side area located to the side of the stage to get some fresh air or to take a smoke break. It can get pretty hot in there. –Music is good. Mix of Hip Hop/EDM. –Free parking Cons: –Ordering drinks from the bar is a joke. Ordered four red bull vodkas($ 10 ea.) and they all tasted as if it consisted of 90% red bull. Zero buzz. We sent them back but the bartender didn’t bother to fix our drinks. –Place is full of «gangsters» who are always looking to pick a fight and trashy chicks who can’t hold it together. Not fun to be around. –No ins or outs, plus a $ 20 cover charge if you’re not on the guest list. **Be sure to arrive 2 hours early if you are on the guest list because there is a long guest list line, and you will NOT get in for free if it’s past 11pm. Tips: –Pre game prior to entering! –NO sneakers or Nike’s allowed. They will not let you in unless you are wearing dress shoes. –Arrive around 9 pm to make the 11 pm guest list.

This is one of my favorite go to’s if I can’t go to the city! The place is very nice and their workers are even more nice. The night I went I was celebrating my birthday so I had 20 people going(large VIP guest list for us). We ordered bottle service and got free champagne with it as part of their promotion. One of my friends got charged $ 20 to enter, after 11 pm they charge $ 20 per person, but it was only 10:30 pm. They didn’t mention that if you are not on the guest list even if it’s before 11pm you still have to pay $ 20. I flipped a b**** because they made my friend pay when I was 100% sure he was on my list. It wasn’t about the money, it was about the guest list issue. Ramon, one of the bouncers, handled me and my situation and was very kind and understanding. He dealt with my b**** attitude and helped calm my situation. It ended up being, that I forgot to put that one friend on the list(in the end it was my fault), and Ramon still took great care of us despite my mistake and my attitude. I got to give it to him for that one! Music was great, people were great, workers were great, and my time there was well worth it!

I went in there just to scope out the scene. This was the first place in the south bay I have seen truly popping. Its spacious, it looks modern. The way its set up is to pop bottles. The bar is in the back, its a tiny area. Then you have all the tables lined up against the wall and down the middle, back to back creating 2 walkways to the front where theres a dance space and then a stage thats like for the v.i.p, obviously and the DJ. The bottle menus where lit up which is a nice touch but maybe they should use a darker more seductive glow, those things were really bright but they still looked cool. The bottle girl wasn’t really on us trying to hustle bottles and drinks, I dont know if thats good or bad. But they were nice and whenever they bring a bottle to a table they come out with flashlights that look like sparklers. I thought it was funny but maybe its a fire hazard or something to have them come out with real sparklers. The girls there were ALL beautiful I didnt see a single hoodrat or any hating dudes so like they screened everybody really well, thats thanks to the security guards for not just letting anybody in. Very on point. I got in fight with a friend outside and they were there asap but they handled it well. They didnt try to rough me up or get in a cheap punch, they broke us up, made sure we were cool and let us be and I dont think anyone even noticed what happened is how fast and point they were. They de-escalated the situation like true professionals and you can trust you will be safe there. Excellent job all around. Reserve your bottles before you go it saves money. 300 couldve been 150. But this is definitely the place to go for a more upscale expirience at a club outside of San Francisco and the parking was so easy I liked the setting. 5 stars all day.

I’ve been consistently coming to Pure Lounge since probably 2006. I still remember coming here with my college friends, getting drunk and eating drunk food in Sunnyvale in what could have been called a «downtown» back then. In the years since, Pure Lounge has really, truly changed into a sophisticated party place that Sunnyvale is not characteristically known for. The interior is grand, vast, pretty and well laid out. The booths and«bottle service» is more reasonable than you might think. The owners are exceptionally pleasant to deal with and they even have corporate event spaces available upstairs. They tend to attract a fair amount of talented DJs and fun DJs throughout the year, and even attracted Steph Curry! Definitely a good place to check out if you’re in the mood to hang out at a swanky club or dance the night away.

Do not use their coat check service. I was there yesterday Friday 11⁄6 and used the coat check. At the end when I have them the ticket to get my jacket, it was nowhere to be found. The attendant straight up says, «sorry, the other person must have gave your jacket away to someone else.» Wtf. That’s no way to run a business. Club is okay, but Don’t trust the coat check workers. They’re incompetent. Not coming back because of this incident

Over-rated in my personal opinion. Finally experienced it and over it like a one-night stand. It’s too bad, cause I was really just hoping for a lot more; however, that is usually whenever you become disappointed. Not too many bourbon selections whenever I was there. had to settle for Beam.

For EDM fans: By far, one of the best clubs in the South Bay. They bring great artists(3Lau, DVBBS, Vicetone, Project 46, DOTCOM, and the list goes on!) and the best is: taking pictures with the DJs after their sets. PRICE Most of the time hey have a free guest list, otherwise it’s pretty cheap($ 5 – 20) to get in. SECURITY: Shout out to David and Richard. They make us feel safe and truly get the line moving. MANAGEMENT: Ariel is very understanding. Two of my friend signed up on the guest list but it didn’t appear. But since we had a huge group come in, she ended up letting my pay as a guest instead of regular admission. Thank you! SHOUTOUT: to Jason for always lighting up the crowd. Letting my crew know whenever there is a guest list

Had a bad experience at pure lounge. I was the first to enter and the the place is dirty without anyone there yet. Eveything you touch is sticky and gum stuck all over the floor. I observe the security being hostle to customers for no reason. Also staff allow drinks on the dance floor so you can imagine what will happen… mess. The music is 90% ghetto and the rest techno. The only thing i enjoyed was the interior design.

The outside sucks. A terrible stupid line, the security guards are total jack asses. I mean, I get it, you deal with annoying people — but I’m sober and it’s still 10 so stop being such a cold hearted grumpy face. Trashy bathrooms and kind of awkward entrance area, it’s hard to find a place to sit if you need a break. However, once you actually hit the floor — YES. So much yes. Maybe it was just the crowd, but that dance floor was live all night. Good vibes, good times, cyphers and shuffling and energy circles and everything nice. The set-up in there is pretty sweet too. It’s a hassle to get in, but once you’re IN — it’s worth it.

I really tried to like this place but I just couldn’t do it. Been here about 5 times. I’ll probably never go back unless it was for a friends birthday or something but I’ll never go out of my way to this place. This place sucks. The staff /bouncers are friendly though. Several parking lots a couple blocks down either way from the club. Plenty of parking. Music selection is good. All the times I’ve been here have been EDM. They’ve been stepping their game up on pulling better artists but it still won’t bring me to want to go to this place. There’s also hip hop in the room upstairs. Crowd, ehhh it depends on who you’re seeing but every time I’ve been here, there’s a lot of people getting a little ratchet for club, I prefer mature crowds over anything and people who actually enjoy the music. But the crowd has been really pushy and rude every time I’ve been here. They push and shove like nothing. Drinks are typical prices you’d expect at any club. Bartenders are friendly. Dress code can be casual /kinda dressy. I mean you see girls in converse or in a dress and heels. Bathrooms are kept clean so that’s a plus. There’s also a designated smoking area outside. Cover here can be pretty expensive especially if you don’t have a ticket to see a dj. They charge way too much. It’s not worth it. Overall, staff is friendly, place is nice. Sorry but I won’t be coming back unless I really have to.

This place is a gem!!! I’m not from South Bay but if I were to pick a place to get my groove on over the weekend, it would be the Pure Lounge. I found out about this place through Instagram(follow them: Pureedm408 or Purelounge408) because they promote their events here AND do various giveaways! I won Meet & Greet tickets to see Late Night Alumni with DJ FelnLove as the opener(02÷27÷15)! When you walk in, there’s a photography that can take your picture if you want, then enter from the left or right side and you’ll find the bar in the middle of the venue. Then on the sides of the main floor are the seating area for VIP people! As you walk further, you’ll go down some steps and it’s the dance floor — you can go suuuper close to the stage which I think is pretty cool to be close to the performer! I’ve checked out Pure’s past performers and they have some legit people coming through! A lot of trancey people but I know in a few weeks they have Blasterjaxx coming through(and you can win tix from simply tagging people! Super easy). The drinks here are on the pricey side(~$ 12 for an AMF) but what can you expect from a lounge/club that enforces dress code(ladies and gents, dress to impress!). I would HIGHLYRECOMMEND you guys to all just pay for the tickets online — saves you trouble from waiting outside in the cold and paying for cover which I believe it more expensive!

NEWEDMHOMEFORTHEEASTBAY! yeah they got some cool dj’s lined up so they’re really putting a name for themselves! Since it’s still quite a new club the tickets aren’t as expensive so get em while it’s hot! On regular days(when there isn’t a well-known dj) cover can get expensive(up to about $ 20) but just put yourself on the guestlist and get here before eleven! The bouncers are so much nicer than the other clubs in the area! Drinks are average, same price as the other clubs. They also have a hip-hop room upstairs! Anyways, they got great lightshows and bring in decent dj’s now and then! Check it out!

Really nice venue but all they play is EDM. Definitely go if there are special guests! I got pulled up on stage into the VIP section when Lil Jon was performing and had a blast! There is parking in the Macy’s parking lot if you cant find any nearby. Either buy your tickets online or get on the guest list. This club also takes forever to posts the photos they take.

This past weekend was the first time I have ever been to Pure Lounge. And… to be honest, my expectations of the venue were really high. A week before, my friend decided he wanted to celebrate his birthday at Pure. I was very excited to go because the website looked legitimate and so did their IG and hashtags. So, after I signed up on the guestlist for that specific night, I checked the dress codes. It specifically says: «Sports, recreation attire and athletic wear are not permitted, this includes sneakers of any kind.» Since that was the dress code, I thought it would be a higher class club. But boy, was I wrong… Let me start from the beginning of my experience. Maybe I should specify that I went on December 27th, 2014 and the theme for the night was called«Babes in Toyland» if anyone on their management team decides to reply to this. When my friends and I arrived at the venue, parking was very easy. Nearby is a very large parking garage that was practically empty by the time we got there(definitely before 11, because we signed up for the guestlist). The empty parking lot made me a little worried cause usually when people go to the club, you see other club-goers walking around. My worry began to fade once I saw the line to get in. It wasn’t obnoxiously long, however we did wait about 10 – 15 to get in. All the bouncers were very nice and the kind lady that checked our names on the guestlist was generous and welcomed us. Right when we were all done getting our IDs, bodies, and bags checked, we migrated inside and watched some people get their picture taken next to this really big bear. As a first-timer, I wanted to take a picture. But the photographer of the night was too busy choppin’ it up with one of his homies that he didn’t stop to look around and well… do his job. I had to tap him on the shoulder and ask him if he was free to take our picture. And reluctantly he snapped a shot and ignored us after. We then proceeded into the main room and let me tell you… the pictures on their website make this place look a lot bigger than it actually is. There were barely any people dancing cause it was fairly early still, so we decided to get some drinks to loosen us up. The kettle-redbull that I ordered was definitely proportioned well, so kudos to that bartender. By the time we finished our first drink, it was about 11 and a lot more people were showing up. So we headed to the dance floor! The DJ, Miles Medina, has some great mixes. So I was actually really disappointed that his mix for the night was a whole bunch of EDM and a few seconds of Hip Hop here and there. I am not much of an EDM fan, so I was kind of stuck trying to enjoy his mix the entire night. The few Hip Hop songs he did play were very short segments that lasted only a few seconds before he dropped a beat to change back to EDM. The website stated that there would be another DJ in the Red Room, which would strictly be Hip Hop; however, because there was a low turnout for the night, I don’t think they even opened it up. The night seemed very, very long. And most of the people were very drunk out of their minds. Dancing got really dirty. The place started to smell like puke. People were taking off their shoes. Oh! And speaking of shoes… later on in the night, there were several people that I saw wearing sneakers. I was very disappointed to see that they got in wearing sneakers and looking like they just got out of bed. Seeing that definitely has made Pure Lounge as a whole very questionable to me. Like, do the bouncers just check shoes early in the night and then not care later on? Dress codes should be enforced not matter how low the turnout is. Just saying. So why two stars? One for the confetti. And another because I am nice. Probably won’t be back.

Pure is really starting to make a name for themselves!!! After being open for a year or two they’re really working out all their kinks and improving whatever they can! They updated/upgrade a lot of things, and it really looks like a million bucks here! Definitely one of the better looking clubs in South Bay. The bouncers are stand up people, I’ve never had a run in with anyone here that made it seem like those loser wanna be Vegas bouncers in SF(I.E SLOANE, GRAND, RUBYSKYE, ORIGIN). Only if you’re really really rowdy and acting out of pocket do they keep your ass in check. Otherwise, I don’t see anything wrong with their bouncing tactics(like if you obvi look drunk etc etc things like that). Also, dress code here can vary, I think it’s a lot more strict on guys, but c’mon guys, dress to impress! Staff are always aiming to please too, the bartenders here are actually pretty nice. One time I got a drink and I was like«YO this isn’t alcoholic» and the bartender was like«YOHEREHAVESOMEMOREALCOHOL» He probably knows what’s up. The bottle service here is actually very reasonable, and their process is quick and painless! They’re also bringing in some pretty popular and upcoming artists/DJs too. I mean for $ 10-$ 20 to see these people, what a steal! Guest list is usually free.99-$ 10 before 1030. I recommend just getting presales if you’re not in trying to stand around from 10 – 12 before a DJ comes out. Club usually gets cracking around 11 – 11:30. Otherwise, happy partying!
