They care least about your hair. Not even listens completely about your request. Very cheap haircut but not worthy

Considering the price and quality, this hair salon is a great choice. I wanted a very simple haircut: a previous barber had butchered my hair and Linh fixed it perfectly. I went in the morning around 10am when there wasn’t a crowd. She cut my hair with such care and took her time(taking into account there wasn’t a line of people waiting for a haircut). The cut cost $ 12, which was more than fair for the quality and friendliness of service. I’m definitely going to return!

I was there earlier today for the first time. You get what you pay for — a $ 10 haircut. A bit of holes, not exactly the way you want your hair done. The barber was really in a hurry to get the next client on the chair so i only asked one quick fix. In the future i’d rather pay a few more bucks and get what i want. If you’re looking for a simple, one size machine haircut — this place might be right for you.

It depends on the lady who cut your hair. Only one of them is quite good, but the others are so unprofessional. They don’t even know how to hold a pair of scissors. The hair obviously looked different from one side to another. The sides were a little bit better than the top. The length of the top & front is definitely not even. I am not sure where did they learn how to cut, but not anyone who can hold a pair of scissors or a trimming machine can be a stylist.

Trinh has become my go-to stylist for the past 7 months. I have visited her here at this location and at the El Camino location as well. She is friendly, quick with the men’s haircut, and gives a wonderful scalp massage with wash. For $ 15 for the wash and cut, for a no fuss and no appointment type salon, this works great. If you are expecting a $ 50+ salon cut, this isn’t the place to be. Check out other salons, that provide that type of service, that come with serene music, tea service, coat rack, etc…

I have been going to this place for 7 years now. One has to be clear about this place. Its a mom & pop hair salon, nothing fancy. They charge moderately for a hair cut(main reason for my loyalty) and do good job. Shouldn’t ask and expect too much here. IMO, they cater to a certain market and I perfectly like their services. Pros: Reasonable price; They cut hair as you ask(you should first know what to ask); Fast service; Well located(near Sunnyvale downtown). Cons: Some times is hard to get your view across and understand their view, mainly due to language barrier. But the ladies do their best.

I had a really great experience here. I usually go to hair dressers and tell them what i want and they end up cutting too much or it ends up being uneven! Not here, Yvonne helped me, and she cut my hair just the perfect amount, giving suggestions in order for my face to be framed! Im very pleased and its the first time in my life that I am genuinely happy with my cut!(And the price!)

Sooo I wasn’t really impressed. I’m fine with how my hair come out. But it was pretty nasty during. So first I sit down and that thing they put over you so hair doesn’t get on you doesn’t even cover me in the front but I got someone else’s hair all over my legs and she didn’t even notice or take it off me so I wiped it off myself. ew! Then she was cutting my hair and it got all over my legs. At the end(btw I could barely understand her and she was talking really low in a Chinese accent) and she asked for a tip. I couldn’t understand her so it was awkward lol. Won’t be going back.

Walked in, waited for my turn, and was eventually beckoned to sit down in the barber’s chair. The place is staffed by a bunch of southeast Asian women, mostly Vietnamese. I have fine, straight black hair, so this boded well for me. The barber pinned the cloth around my neck, asked me what I wanted, and started snipping away. Snip snip snip. Not much chit chat. She asked me in an accented voice, «Are you Vietnamese?» And then I froze. New to the South Bay area, I was aware that there is large Vietnamese population that started living there in the 1970s in the wake of the Vietnam war. And I knew from my parents that there was no love lost between the Chinese and the Vietnamese during that era. But that was 30 years ago. Surely, no grudges would have been held since then. Snip snip snip. The scissors sounded very sharp. They had very pointed ends. I stammered, «Uh, my dad was Chinese.» Snip snip snip. I waited for that«accidental» slip of the hand. She was quiet for a moment, but then she smiled and said, «Né hao!» God bless America! I don’t know if my ancestors ever oppressed her ancestors, but today under the northern California sun, that history is forgiven. I love this place. I’ve been going back for over 10 years now. The haircuts have gone up to $ 10. Leave a big tip, because these ladies work hard.

In my life I’ve seldom had to deal with people so inept and incompetent in their daily job as the ones I’ve found here. How this place manages not to close down should be a case to study. The haircutter I got was gross in her job, completely unaware of what a trim is and claimed to be finished when the hair were clearly still messed up. Absolutely no idea of what she was doing. Being able to turn an electric hair trimmer on doesn’t make random people haircutters.

I spent $ 17 on a great haircut and shampoo. My stylist was a Vietnamese woman with short orange colored hair. Sorry I didn’t catch her name. From the reviews below it seems people have very mixed experiences from horrible to great. In my case I showed her a pic on my cell phone and she asked for the back view which I did not have. She copied the pic perfectly and improvised and layered the backside nicely. One star off because she should have blow dried my hair more to remove some of the cut strands in my hair. Basically, you shouldn’t expect to go to work after coming here. Go home, wash your hair again to remove the extra hair. Otherwise I felt like I got a $ 40 – 50 haircut!

Two years ago, I went to a Vietnamese lady to get a hair cut. After that, I was scarred and didn’t go to a hair salon since. My hair finally grew too long for me to handle, and I wanted about 5 inches cut, around where my armpits are. I go in, and almost instantly, I’m directed toward a chair. They ask me if I wanted a straight cut or a V. My companion who came with me said straight wouldn’t look good. I thought that a V cut wouldn’t be bad, right? I was definitely mistaken. For this cut, I wanted no bangs. Just a simple cut that looked similar to what I had. Sort of just a trim, except 5 inches off. Not too many layers since my hair is thick and it would puff out. The woman who started me off was small with short hair above the shoulders. She cuts and cuts and cuts and even without my glasses on, I knew it wasn’t going to turn out well. I had a bit of hope though. Until I was directed to another woman… THEOTHERLADYHADMESSEDUPANDHADCUTMYHAIRUNEVENLYANDDIDN’T KNOWHOWTOFIXIT. The second woman cut my hair to my shoulders and ended up giving me bangs and a ton of layers. Then she drys my hair and puffs it out with a brush… They gave me a look that was the exact opposite of what I wanted. It’s also the same style that I had two years ago after I had gone to get it cut. This sucks.

Long overdue review on this place. Please believe me when I tell you I had the worst haircut of my life here! Shame on me for being drawn in by the cheap price. So when I went in here for a haircut, I was assigned this lady who was rather large. Not that that mattered at all, but then I got the sense she was a lazy person because instead of walking around my chair, she took a clipper to my head with one hand and used her other hand to turn my chair around while she trimmed me with the clippers!!! Gees, might as well stick a bowl on my head and cut around it. To add insult to injury, she was unfriendly and had a scowl on her face. And yes you probably guessed it… the haircut was awful… very uneven and way shorter than what I requested. I suppose if you put a clipper in one place of the head and spun the chair around… you dont get much variety in hairstyles. Allow me to recap, WORSTHAIRCUTEVER.

Came here cause it was closer but I like the Mountain View one more… I am balding and thinning, and I specifically asked to not have the front short… First thing the woman does… takes the cutter and just shaves all the way across the front…-_–

$ 8 pay in cash or $ 9 if pay with a card. 10 minute wait and there were 2 guys ahead of us. :-) My boyfriend instructed number 2 on the sides and scissor cut on top. He looked extra handsome after his cut. 4 stars because he had cut hair all over his shirt and ears. We had to go home afterward so he could shower off the hairs. Other than that great deal for saving time and getting great results.

This is a small whole in the wall hair cut shop with lots of business. They do a good job on men’s hair. My brother has been going to them for over 15 years. He is usually satisfied if Julie is the one cutting his hair. All the other girls do an OK job. The hair cuts are cheap and quick. However, the line and wait is long and there are no appointments. What ever the woman tell you there are no appointments. I have seen many arguments inside and heard many on the phone. Customers come in thinking they made an appointment and in fact the women do not honor appointments. This is a strictly a walk-in hair cut kind of place. The women do not know how to cut a woman’s hair unless you want a short shaved cut. I went in for a trim and the woman could not cut the back of my hair in a straight line. Don’t ask me why. I asked Julie to fix it and she did. I had to put up a big fuss to get Julie to fix my hair. She is very popular since she is the only one who can really cut hair here. If you go to Lisa’s to the following: 1. expect to wait 2. go to the bathroom first so you don’t have use their dirty bathroom(sometimes they even say they don’t have one — crazy since we are paying customers) 3. only go for short hair cuts 4. wait for Julie to cut your hair — my friends tell me that the other women do not listen and sometimes take too much off the top and/or the sides. I have seen proof of this so just wait for Julie I would give Julie 4 out of 5 stars and all the total location 3 stars.
