Ambience Garden Design

Tina completed a large landscape design of my front and back yard, outdoor kitchen and pizza oven. She did all hardscape, drainage, lighting, irrigation and planting plans. Tina is extremely knowledgeable about plants and that is her passion. She is very talented and artistic and researches every aspect of the design. She is very professional and easy to work with. She incorporated my ideas as well as coming up with her own ideas. The landscape looks amazing, and we are so glad we chose Tina.

Tina is an extremely creative designer. She listened attentively to understand my vision for my garden. She provided me with excellent options which resulted in achieving my dream garden! She is very professional, keeps her commitment, and provided photos of various plant options making it easy to envision my finished garden.

Tina has a great love for plants and it permeates her designs. She did a complete overhaul of both my front and back yards. From careful measuring, hardscaping and plant selection, Tina planned something for me that was drought tolerant, without a water guzzling lawn and very very pretty. She made sure to understand what kind of colors I wanted in the garden, finding plants that provide interest in each season.
Tina did a great job and I highly recommend her.

In 2004, Tina created my landscape plan for my house in the Hayward hills.
I thought her biggest strength is that she listened to me.
The process was we met at my house, walked around, and I told her the things I wanted (deck, gazebo, spa, small garden, walkway around the entire house), and she suggested some things I hadn’t thought of, like taking an awkward area of the front yard and turning it into a courtyard, complete with fountain and bench.
As we walked around, she made suggestions for plants, and asked me how I felt about them (ex: ornamental grasses). I told here I didn’t much care for them. It only took a few minutes for us to realize my vision was more of a manicured mid-​century garden look. Perhaps a different designer would have balked at the idea of redoing a landscape which would feel immediately dated, but she didn’t. She just started suggesting a different set of plants to accommodate my style, and to nudge me toward choices that would add a little more function and a slightly updated look than my original vision.
A couple weeks later, I remember unrolling the plans, and every corner of the plan screamed «me». I was so happy. Then she helped me get some bids for the work, but a lot of it was too expensive, so I’ve been working on it bit by bit myself.
Overall, it was a rewarding experience, and I highly recommend her.

Tina is a talented designer. She designed my front and back yard for me. I want it to be kids friendly and low maintenance and low budget. She helped me to achieve my goal. She also inspected the final work and give the feedback of the things needed to be corrected. I am happy with my new yard. Thank you, Tina.
