If you are in extreme pain and need help from the staff in the ER, don’t count on getting any help soon. Waiting for 4 hours for an xray when it’s not even a busy night is inexcusable, only to hear in a condescending tone that there’s nothing they can do about the pain. Perhaps the Prosser Hospital might be a better choice.

«I ate it I’ll rate it. «Well this is a Hospital not a restaurant. I have used this Hospitals services and ate there and stayed nights there. There are a lot of halls going to many places. Ask if your lost or there are signs on walls pointing where to go. It is great they are adding new flooring and removing the blue carpet. They are remodeling everywhere there. The LAB people are kind and efficient. The X-ray people are polite and patient. The Ultrasound staff and all areas I’ve used are nice. Most of the Doctors are polite and will take time to explain your situation if you ask. If they do not have time right then I’d say about 2 out of three Doctors will come back to you later as they stated. Some Doctors I found out… Are traveling ER doctors. They spend half a year like in Nevada or some where else and half in Sunnyside. The ER room is great the Doctors take super great care of you and do whatever needs to be done and the Nurses are caring and listen and are attentive. I felt safe there. Then the ER Doctor or Doctors send you to where ever you need to go next. The Hospital rooms are clean and have fresh air in their heating and cooling system. Nice clean restrooms. You need your OWNSHAMPOO, COMB, TOOTHPASTEANDLOTION. They have an ice machine and good city water. They will get you as many pillows as you want and an extra blanket. The NURSES have their own personality but all are good at their job and treat you with kindness and patience unless you need to do something. They will help push you to do it. MAKESURE anyone whom touches you(Dr. or Nurse or Nurses Aid or Assistant or Lab person) uses the Hand Sterilizer first or washed their hands in hot soapy water or wears gloves !!! Or they may bring you germs from their last patient. Your one family member can sleep in your room beside you in a chair that makes into a bed. They will give you a pillow and blanket for the Family person to use. The food good. Ask if you want a late night snack. Once it was time for me to go home I needed a ride. I called taxi the Nurses will help you figure out whom to call to get home. As for if you just want to go eat in the HOSPITALDINER as a non patient that’s great. EVERYFRIDAYNIGHTFROM4−5pm FOR $ 5.00ONLY ! Chef Mike prepares a WHOLEMEAL, a salad, roll and desert for $ 5.00Great Deal!!! There is Breakfast times and Lunch times too. The BEST and Biggest Burger around the Lower Valley is there. It’s a Double Bacon Cheese Burger. I cut the one I had in half. Even then you can’t take a full bite. You bite at it. Their BLT sandwich is a favorite. They use real wide thick bacon and you get about six to eight strips on the Burger Six on BLT. The Diner(follow signs or ask) has salad and sandwiches and milk and juices and fountain sodas. By the way the Yakima Hospital has a Fancy Diner and low prices too. Used to be a secret of my Dads. Eat Lunch or Dinner at various Hospitals. Some have 3 – 4 star Chefs! With lower than town prices but not ALL are equal quality. After eating that Burger you might need an operation. ha The OR Operating Room staff are all well trained and kind and answer all your questions that they can. They all are helpful and explain what’s going on or what’s going to happen before and after your operation. You will go home or stay a bit or stay and heal in a hospital room. They let you know.
