I live out of town but grew up here in Sunnyside. Shopped at this safeway 30 years ago. Now whenever I am here visiting family, I am in here daily for my coffee at Starbucks and for whatever else I may need. Service is always friendly and especially a shout out to the Starbucks staff… I have asked them to re do my drink a few times because they did it a little different than I was used to, and they were very friendly and accommodating. Nice work. My family doesn’t drink coffee and I have to come here for my fix. The store is also nice and usually has what I want although they definitely have a smaller selection than some safeways. Smaller town, smaller selection I guess.

Well, I am pleased to report that they have made improvement. I am not sure if someone has seen my review, if a complaint to corporate reached the right ears, or if managment just pulled it together, but the last three months have shown vast improvement (not enough for a 4th star, but they seem to be working towards it). Cashiers are much more pleasant. I have been offered help out with my groceries 9 out of my last 10 visits (even when I had my husband with me). Milk is just as well-​stocked as the beer now, and they have increased variety in their meat department.

During my year here I had excellent service and always good food.
In a small town like thi sit is possible to met you rneighbors; co-​teachers; parents of students and others from the area. A surprise which is often pleasant.
Note: some young staff were clearly working their first job. no tas clear with communication as they shall be.
