I was bit disappointed on their service. They forgot to put pineapples on my Hawaiian chicken bbq pizza. Although the staff were bit friendly. I hope they would give me credit for my pineapples. Delivery would take a bit long.

Ordered through seamless. Delivery was quick and the delivery guy was nice. But they got my order wrong. I ordered a Hawaiian chicken pizza(pineapple and grilled chicken). They delivered the Hawaiian BBQ chicken(BBQ sauce, chicken, bacon, onions, pineapple). When I saw the pizza it looked like what I ordered until I took a bit and tasted the BBQ sauce, bacon etc at the bottom layer of the pizza. I didn’t fuss about it because these things happen sometimes. So why am I writing the review? The customer service is horrible and treat you like garbage. When I called them to tell them they got my order wrong, he said that that’s what I ordered. At that time, I was looking at the screen of my cell with my existing order on seamless, and I repeated myself again. He then proceed to tell me «I must of put in the code wrong.» I responded with«what code? There isn’t a code for Hawaiian chicken on seamless?!». This kept going back and forth, and at this point I got annoyed. He did not say a simple sorry for getting the order wrong. And they did not acknowledge that they were wrong, but instead posed blame on the customer. The second pizza came quick. But different delivery person. She looked upset. I showed her my order on my cell, she did not acknowledge it, and responded with«Oh I don’t know», and she looked at me and was like«where’s the other pizza?!». She said that they told her that I was suppose to give her the other pizza pie in exchange. I got even more annoyed. This time the order was right, but I totally did not like how this was handled. I’ve gotten wrong orders from different places before, and they’ve always acknowledged their mistake and said sorry. But instead this location treats you like it was your fault, not theirs. I’m not sure how pick up would be like here, but definitely DONOT order delivery, unless you want your order wrong and get blamed for it.

I placed my online order around 6:20 and didn’t get my order until 8:00. When I received it, the pizza a wrong. I didnt get the replacement pizza until 9:00. I complained to the corporate so the store owner called and said«You have your correct order now you should be happy.» Waited for 2 ½ hours for pizza and I should be happy?

I have always liked Papa John’s but this location did give me a little different experience. For the last 3 times, my orders were all messed up, we never got the pizza we ordered. Today I ordered a large pizza with, chicken, mushroom, pineapple, black olives with no onions. The delivery was quick, and he was polite. The pizza we received, however, only had mushroom and black olives on it, and Papa john’s ignored our request and added onion as well. I had the same experience for the last 3 times and I’m a little surprise this would keep happening. If Papa John’s wants to give great customer experience, I think they should start by giving the customer the correct order, which is pretty reasonable, right?

This is the second time that this Papa Johns’ has messed up my order and it will be the last TIME! One time I received a pie and it wasn’t cut. I had to eat the crap whole. The second time and the last time I ordered the new Sriracha meats and not one drop of sriracha was on the pie. Called them and they said it was a new specialty and they probably didn’t know. NOTMYPROBLEM. papa johns is done on to Dominoes

They don’t even deserve the one star. I have been ordering from here since they opened a couple years back. Never have I ever experienced such bad customer service from their employees. I called while I was on the train to order pizza to get home when I was. The girl who picked up was very rude. She didn’t speak fluent English and couldn’t even explain to me about the deal. I asked her a few questions about the deal and as I was ordering she shouted at me and told me I wasn’t ordering correctly. She started rambling off in such an awful way about how she had customers ahead and if I’m confused to call back later. I replied to her explaining she wasn’t clear and as I’ve order here countless times before, the deal didn’t make sense according to the deals previously that were similar. In the mist of complaining about me taking too long to order and being«confused,» the associate decide to hang up on me. So I got off and marched into the store and demanded to see the manager. The girl who answered the phone was there as well and began giving me so much attitude. Turns out she was a new employee. Regardless of being new or old, that isn’t the customer service any company should have employees providing. They even started talking in their language. Incredibly outrageous. I understand that this is very busy time and location but that gives you no right to be rude and disrespectful! Absolutely never going back again! If you really want pizza I suggest death elsewhere with a better set work environment!

Pizza and wings are good. But the garlic bread is horrible. I don’t like how they didn’t make the bread crust at all. It feels like I was chewing normal bread even though it was a normal bread. Delivery is really depend on the day. When it is raining the delivery are slower so it can take around an hour. But during good weather it is pretty quick, prob around 30 mins

DONOTORDERPIZZAHERE. The store customer service is terrible… I ordered 2 pizzas and called them after 1 hour due to their delivery time being delayed. I didn’t ask for anything to them but the employee in the store say nothing but just yelled at me and hung up on my phone call. Finally the pizza arrived. It wasn’t even a hot pie but was cold… Who wants a cold pizza? What in the world the customer service is like this? I AMNEVERGOINGTOEATPAPAJOHN’S PIZZAAGAINFROMTHISLOCATION. Extremely lame and pitiful.

You know what’s fun? Playing rearrange the cheese when you receive your pizza and it occupies just 25% of the box. You know what’s even more fun? Calling the location to have the manager tell you that you won’t get a refund for several days and then have him raise his voice and swear at you. Quite possibly the worst customer service ever for a sub par product. I only have myself to blame though. In a city with amazing pizza I tried to take the cheap way out with a promotion. Don’t bother with this, ever. There are so many better, real pizza locations in this neighborhood.

They sure do love their pizza in Sunnyside! You know what? It is what it is, and it’s always consistent. Back home in Chicago you respect consistency. You always know what you’re going to get and sometimes that’s all that matters. I’m still waiting for a deep dish option though. I love deep dish, I’m from Chicago.

This location has been here for awhile now but this was my first time coming here. I ordered online and it was ready to be picked up in 15 minutes. Once I got there it was ready and I asked for plates and napkins the guys behind the counter was really nice about it and put some in a plastic bag for me. I really enjoyed how easy the process was. As far as the pizza goes I love the Hawaiian pie from here minus the onions and they always have coupons online.

DONOTORDERFROMHERE!!! Waited nearly two hours for delivery!!! Tried calling them and the phone rings out for over 20minutes. Finally get through and I was told it takes an hour for delivery, even though online my estimate was 30 – 40 minutes! At this point iv waited an hour and thirty minutes. The worker was rude and unhelpful and not one apology. I decided to call back and ask for the manager only to be told I was apparently talking to the manager, and I decided if that’s who I’m dealing with than they can keep their pizza. When I told him I was cancelling he said fine and hung up the phone. This«manager«has no people skills whatsoever! I would have gotten over the fact it was late but the«manager» is the main reason why I’ll never order with them again!!!

Yea, so here’s the deal. I never eat at Papa John’s. I eat pretty well, I mostly cook at home and I feel no need to eat fast food pizza. But, last night was Friday night, and I thought I would go ahead and indulge and have some greasy pie. I just moved to the area, it was really tired, and passed Papa John’s and thought«I haven’t eaten there in forever.» So I got the barbecue chicken pizza and chicken bites from Papa John’s for myself and someone else. My friend ended up not coming over, so I had the pie to myself and some of the chicken bites. 24 hours later, I have been sitting on the toilet a total of six times. Now, I normally try not say anything negative or mean on Unilocal, because a lot of people that work at restaurants need these jobs. But hear me loud and clear on this: if you order from Papa John’s, you risk getting sick. And I know it was Papa John’s, because what I ate before Papa John’s was something that had been sitting in my freezer that I had eaten and made before, and I hadn’t any intimate relationships with anybody(so I didn’t «catch» anything), and I wash my hands all the time. So the truth of the matter is, I got sick eating their food. Of course, I will never, ever go there again, and like the other reviewer said, the guys there are not very nice. When I asked him about the coupon on the counter after they had rung me up, he got annoying, saying«so that means I have to void the order» — I mean, yea, he makes crap working there, but he could have been cool about the discount. I don’t need the attitude. New Yorkers deserve to have amazing pie. At least Papa John’s can say there probably supported by Weight Watchers. It’s the only pizza I know where you can eat it and actually lose weight.

I’ll admit, I have a nostalgic weak spot for Papa John’s. It’s not great pizza by any means and it’s not terrible. It’s just what I’m familiar with, having grown up in the suburbs. I’ve never had any trouble here, ordering via phone or online for pick up. I’ve never ordered delivery. The prices here are cheaper than Sunnyside Pizza and Marabella’s, if you have a coupon. Obviously don’t come here for great pizza. But if you’re just looking for generic, decent pizza, this does the trick.

So countless orders and stop ins, I finally decide to give my opinion of this Papa John’s location since I order from them the most. We order from them frequent enough to occasionally rack up some Papa John points to get a few free pies, Woohoo! This review is focused on the category of chain pizza spots only. This is the order of my favorites: Pizza Hut(None in the Sunnyside area) Papa John’s Singas Sbarros Little Caesars Dominoes You can go in and order $ 1.00 slices by themselves, which is a cheap snack, when I am craving the flavor of their crust without dropping $ 11+ on a pie. They are small and it’s plain or with pepperoni. Next… I love their Pepperoncinis. One is included in every box. One is not enough, I could snack on these like a bag of chips. Luckily you can pay to get a handful more. Their sides like their wings aren’t that great. Their bread sticks are okay. Their garlic dipping sauce goes well over almost everything, it’s so buttery. And their soda is overpriced. I like the way you can customize your pizza online and can choose toppings(average tasting toppings) on either the left side or right or on the whole pizza. They do add tax and deliver fee to the order. Their pizzas are fresh. On certain takeout visits, I see them kneading the dough balls and rolling them out with the roller they use then put them through the rolling baker. With that, how are Papa John’s pizza? The dough can be –Normal Bake– or requested to be –Well Done-. It can be thin crust or original. I think it’s better when the dough is made the original way, as it has more flavor and more bread like. I have been ordering it too often lately thin crust recently and it taste a little on the lines of cardboard. It totally depends on the type of pizza you order for them to get it right with any or decent amount of sauce and right texture for the dough; but the cheese is plastic every time. I get the feeling they make better regular pizzas than specialty. Or their pizza USE to be made better for I use to say Yeah!, Papa Johns, now I’m like: Meh, whatever.

Delivery takes forever. This Papa Johns constantly skimps on toppings. The last large pepperoni pizza I ordered had a total of 9 pepperoni pieces(yes I counted… it didn’t take me very long). The bread sticks with the garlic and marinara sauces are awesome. tl;dr: If you are craving Papa Johns, have two hours to wait for your delivery and do not care about extremely sparse toppings you will enjoy.

This particular Papa John’s is kind of hit or miss. I’ve had some really good pizza and some really bad pizza here, and I think it depends on whose making it. For example, I’ve ordered the Tuscan Six cheese twice from here, and the first time it was amazing, but the second time it was undercooked and not nearly as good. That being said, I still prefer PJ’s to a lot of the local pizza places.

Okay… I don’t know about the other reviews, but the pizza here isn’t that bad. Tasty wise, it was pretty much on par with other papa john’s that I’ve visited. The slices are small and kept under hear lamps, but for a dollar, I really can’t complaint. I’d probably go back for a quick snack.

I last time i waited 2 hours from my pizza. It was cold and the delivery guy yelled at me for not tipping him. Why should i tip for something i ordered 2 hours ago. I sent a complaint and the manager called me saying they fired the guy because other people had the same complaint about him. So 9 months later, i ordered pizza from them again. Because i really do like their pizza when they make it right and one time. But again i was disappointed with another hour and half wait. I called the store and they guy was rude and when another phone rang, he hung up on me. Be warned: Service is slow and rude.

In most cases, no one should have to order from Papa John’s when there are so many good pizza places in all boroughs. Afterall, the prices here are of the Papa John essence, which means they’re expensive for New York standards. But when diners don’t work and pizza is the only option, Papa John’s is the only pizzeria open after 10PM in Sunnyside. Papa John’s lovers will be happy to know the fattening garlic sauce, marinara sauce, and garlic bread are all available here. Their version of a large pizza is usually considered a medium in most NYC pizza circles. And no, the pizza is not good. One thing I can vouch for is their array of different toppings. I like the fact they had a spinach garlic pizza, but for some reason I was thinking that it was going to be like Artichoke Pizza( ) but my hopes were dashed all too easily. Another word of advice is to order everything online. Calling in here has been tough for friends since many of them are not used to thick accents. Thankfully the delivery is quick and online orders are fairly easy.
