Molly Bloom’s is named after a character in Irish Literature, so there’s that. The place has a wonderful back yard that makes you forget about Queens Blvd during outdoor seasons. A good place for a lazy boozy brunch. At times, overrun with Sunnyside Stroller Nazis who insist on clogging the aisles with their kids and accoutrements. The LIC influence has come to Sunnyside. Molly’s previous staff were charming and tried their best to make you pleased with what you order. The new owners easily become victims of their own success… slow service results. Pretty good pub fare and menu(Manhattan priced, though) from one of the smaller kitchens in Queens. You may find better options to eat, but come here to drink in the back yard grotto.

I’ve come here a bunch of times, always for lunch or brunch. I love the way everything tastes, and the staff is always really great. There’re a few reasons why it didn’t earn the perfect 5 stars: 1. My ginger ale was flat to the point of being ice water 2. The menu is very limited 3. The food takes a long time to come to the table. Aside from that, I love this place and I’ll be back soon!

New owners. They didn’t seem to do much to the space itself, turned the lights down a little bit it seems. Stained booths and wallpaper in the corner could use some TLC. Main update is new prices, a buck or two more. I don’t fault anyone for that. The new menu has a veneer of more thoughtful choices, though when I got my burger featuring Pat LaFrieda beef — I was a bit skeeved out that it was a pre-formed patty. I’m a snob that way I suppose.

I’ve tried two brunch items the Potato rosti and Avocado toast; Both delicious. It’s made with organic cage-free eggs ! I love their new watermelon salad, it’s refreshing and filling. The best part is their outdoor garden. Definitely stop by if you live in Sunnyside. Great place.

So I decided to try this place out since I always pass by it, and I wanted to try out their brunch menu. The place itself is nice and it has a cute outdoor seating area as well. My friend ordered an avocado toast dish while I ordered the poached egg dish they had. Both dishes tasted great, however I thought the dish I had was way too overpriced. I ended up paying $ 18 just for it! It was literally just ONE egg on top of some potato and kale(Including $ 2 for one small slice of Canadian bacon and tip and tax for the rest). Besides that the dish was still $ 12. They have much more filling dishes for approximately the same price, so even though the poached egg tasted great, I really wouldn’t recommend ordering it because it probably won’t fill you up. I most likely will try this place out again because it might’ve just been this dish that wasn’t worth it, since my friend’s dish tasted pretty good. Besides, I’m in the area often so I’ll stop by.

I love Molly Blooms but must admit things are not going as great with the new management. I stopped in a couple weeks ago to get a burger to go. Ordered it medium with Swiss cheese and salad. Got home-was rare, American, and fries instead of salad. Most recently went for brunch and the breakfast sandwich was made with ham instead of bacon as ordered, and I heard the woman next to me have to send her sandwich back because it was wrong. Also the coffee was bad– tasted burnt. Understand things are tricky when a restaurant is turned over, truly hope things pick up again soon, Molly Blooms was such a neighborhood staple.

Drunk and enjoying Wes’s company(the bartender). Super Friendly and will make anything you want! Best bar in Sunnyside thus far. So glad I came across this.

We had brunch here today and it was pretty yummy! I had the pancake skewers. There were a few things I would like to comment on though. I thought it was a bit strange that they didn’t have an Irish Breakfast on the brunch menu. Although, I wouldn’t have ordered it myself, the women sitting next to us inquired about it to the server. They ended up leaving without ordering anything because they came in to an Irish restaurant looking for an Irish breakfast that Molly’s couldn’t provide because they don’t have sausage. Very strange that the new management wouldn’t keep this obvious choice on the menu. Secondly, my pancakes were great but there were no side options on the menu. I love potatoes, another Irish menu staple, but they didn’t list any sides at all. They ended up being able to accommodate me with the potato rosti for $ 5 extra but I just wanted a side of hash browns or home fries, not a crazy request at brunch. Otherwise food was yummy and the staff are wonderful as always.

A nice unpretentious little spot on Queens Blvd. I haven’t tried the food the couple of times i’ve been here, but the bartenders are friendly and prompt. As for the crowd, the patrons are a lot more chill than the other places on the BLVD. The place recently switched owners and the bar has headed in a more laid back, cozy direction. They have the whole dimly lit, candles burning thing going. I like it, will definitely be going back.

Irish breakfast here is awesome. If you’re British(I know that’s different from Irish, I’m British), it’s well worth the trip out there for something that’s close to a full English breakfast without breaking the bank. Particularly like the black pudding(blood sausage).

Was here on a Sunday brunch venture… Burgers were a bit greasy but its a burger right? Staff could have been a bit more attentive. Had to ask for a menu and didn’t get welcomed in. Sat on my own. Food was out very fast. Had the breakfast burger with fries. The wedges were fucking good. The burger ehhh… Not the place to go to if you really want a good burger. Not bad for a stop in but wouldn’t be a place I would repeatedly visit. FREEMIMOSASSSSSS! Yay.

This place is a typical Irish pub, not a place that I would go expceting more than that. Fish and chips for Sunday brunch hit the spot, ate at the bar amongst some apparent locals and enjoyed it with a pint of beer. I’ve had their breakfast food before and thought that it wasn’t that great but this time around was satisfied overall, stick to the pub food would be my call.

Very cute courtyard area out back, perfect for summer! Good drinks specials, too; today’s beer of the week was a pretty tasty watermelon beer for $ 4. Two of my friends are locals and vouch for all the food. I had the fish & chips tonight and they were great, particularly the french fries — steak cut, really well crisped on the outside. Tip for regulars: they’ve apparently just moved Monday night trivia to Sundays! It’s now karaōke on Monday nights.

We went to Molly Bloom on a beautiful day(sunny but breezy) so we sat in the garden area at the back of the restaurant. You should try and dine-in here. It doesn’t look like this place would have a nice garden at the back but you have to pass the bar to see it. I’ve been here for dinner and breakfast before. Our server was good. Thursday is ladies’ night so you get a free drink if you buy one(after 8). Before 8 you could just be happy during happy hours, of course. The garden is a residential-type garden so I’m sure anyone living upstairs the restaurant get a good view of us eating. We ordered a Cobb salad and mini burgers. I’m not a burger fan per se so I tried one without the bread. It was pretty good. The cobb salad was surprisingly tasty. After dinner we walked home happy and bloomy *:)

Oh golly Molly Blooms no wonder you are empty at lunch time . Buffalo wings — cooked and re heated and dry as the Sahara . Shepherds pie — Ground meat that didn’t even taste like meat with carrot. Being English I know what to expect and its not this. Where are the peas and chopped onion. We asked the server if she could make a strawberry mojito ‚’ of course’ she replied. unfortunately it was a like strawberry cordial drink and was disgusting. We gave it back after one sip and her reply was ’ you are paying for that ‘ Indeed I paid but I will never be back in a life time.
